The safes in sequoia lodge

This year I would like to be more careful with my belongings, I kept everything in a drawstring bag that never came off my back last year unless I needed something from it but even then I was constantly checking I had everything.

I know the safe in sequoia is at reception, how does using it work? Are their individual safes? Or is it just one big one? Can you use the safes for your passports and stuff, and do you get a reciept stating hav#w much money you have actually put in.

I have never used them, I would imagine you can put your passports etc in it. I'm not sure how they document it though.

TBH I have always locked my valubles in my suitcase when I have stayed here & have yet to have a problem.

I can't remember exactly how it works, but you get a form to sign everytime you make a deposit or withdrawal from it if i remember correctly. You don't get anything listing what you have put in there though.

The safes are in a locked secure room to the left of the reception, which can only be accessed if you are 'buzzed in' by a cast member. There are lots of small safes in there, and I think you get given a key, and there is 2 keys to each safe (yours and the CM), not 100% on that fact, its been a few years.

Also if i remember correctly you need proof of signature or something to access it, which I thinkt hey use your passport for.

Don't take everything here as a guarentee though, as I said its a few years since I used them!
