I had no idea what was going on in this thread and had to go back a few pages to see how we got to oil changes lol. I actually had to google the subject as I did not know the pumping the oil out is a preferred method with some makers. Seems strange to me but again, I'm not a engineer either lol. These days oil changes in your insoles are much easier. The filter is on top of the insert. Pump the old oil out, change the filter, new oil and filter in. Torque to spec. At least with euro inserts. Don’t know for sure about JDM or Freedom insoles.
These days? Who knows! On 10/15 we could see snowflakes mixed in with the rain. And 2 days ago (10/21) it was 80 outside! Where I live we usually get our first snow-flakes-landing-on-the-ground this week….the 2nd to last week of October. This usually doesn’t start to “stick” until mid-to-late November. However, our USDA ag. zone got updated this spring and we moved a whole zone warmer. The past few years the snow hasn’t stayed until late December or early January…and this past winter we barely had any snow at all! It was a “brown winter” and we joked that this is what living in Ohio must feel like. This is coming from a place that used to average 150+in of snow/winter.QOTD time: How long do you have from when the weather starts cooling down till your first runs with snow?
I think that they're misspelling snoap like what we get at Disney World.ATTQOTD: What is "snow"?![]()
This is my answer except remove "unfortunately".QOTD time: How long do you have from when the weather starts cooling down till your first runs with snow?
ATTQOTD: Unfortunately we rarely get snow, so nice running weather is typically from October till mid May.

You're preaching to the choir. My wife and I brought our Florida babies (14 and 16 at the time) to Germany to see the Christmas markets two years ago and it was colder in South Florida than it was in Munich. We were there for two weeks and didn't see any snow whatsoever. But nothing is normal now.
ATTQOTD: What is this "snow" of which you speak?QOTD time: How long do you have from when the weather starts cooling down till your first runs with snow?
ATTQOTD: Feels like it's the same north of the border - I could have snow this weekend or it could come sometime in January..... makes it fun to figure out when to put snow tires on.But nothing is normal now. Last year we didn't get a standing snow layer until mid January, and our biggest two storms were in March.
Attqotd: I actually shifted workouts around last week so I could run in the snowfall last Friday. It’s been a late start on the snow this year too.I had no idea what was going on in this thread and had to go back a few pages to see how we got to oil changes lol. Agreed! Moved from Maryland to Georgia 2.5 years ago (and I grew up in NY) and DO NOT miss snow AT ALL.This is my answer except remove "unfortunately".![]()
Saw a video on Instagram of Tim Walz doing an interview while running, and it makes me angry how easy he was talking while running at 8:45 pace.![]()

That's when the fun begins! However, there are times in Jan/Feb where the temps don't get above 0 and I'm not subjecting myself to that.
