As per @CarouselOf on Twitter:

Tomorrowland Refurb
•New name "Discoveryland"
•3 or 4 new attractions
•A TRON RIDE (Not coaster… tbc)
•New Area Lighting
•New BGM

Thoughts on what the 3 or 4 new rides could be?

*Edit: They also mention on their Twitter that Carousel of Progress will see some upgrades and changes.
So glad TL is getting some love. Excited for whatever comes of this.

Per Martin at WDWMagic.com -
SWL mid-ish 2019

Mickey early fall 2019

Rat early summer 2020.

At the moment (I shouldn't be anymore specific than that)
2020 looks to be the year to target to visit and get most bang for the buck

Wow, this is awesome! Hope it is true!
As for attractions -
1 will be to replace SGE, one will be update or replacement of Speedway, one rumor had something replacing either laugh floor or Buzz.....and there is always the expansion pad by SM.
have to admit...BGM I am missing...what is BGM?

And per multiple rumors CoP was to get an updated ending

It will be awesome, hoping this all comes true! It would be done by 2021 if it all gets greenlit. We may hear more at this years D23 Expo.

Yes, I have heard the same - SGE, Speedway, Laugh Floor (which may actually just be re-located to DHS if the rumors i've read are true) and expansion pad.

BGM is background music.

I wonder if they'd consider putting it over in the Little Mermaid spot. That would be near Pixar Alley or whatnot. It's a better show than LM. And if they really WANTED to, I'm sure they could figure out a way to to both B&B and LM at the outdoor theatre (perhaps each one every other day...which may be enough to visit the park twice).

Interesting I would have guessed a replacement to Buzz first since we are getting an entire land devoted to Toy Story, but either option sounds great to me!

Buzz still seems pretty popular/gets relatively long waits ... I would like for this "Tomorrowland refresh" to include an update to Buzz (keep same basic ride but change to the removable guns like at Disneyland and just update the technology to be more accurate, etc.)

I think Buzz is fine except the tech is a little unpredictable. I'd like to see it refurbished more than changed as well. It's still a good ride, though Toy Story Mania (which even my twin five year old boys called Buzz Better) is at a different level.

Very possibly, or maybe moved as part of a Pixar Place expansion (Monsters Inc. doors ride was rumored as an expansion not sure if it still is being talked about??), so could be part of that area. Laugh Floor doesn't need a very big footprint, space wise, so i'm sure they can squeeze it in somewhere. It would be a shame to lose it all together, it actually quite a nice little interactive show.

Buzz still gets 60+ minute waits, I can't see that going anywhere anytime soon. It may get an upgrade before the 50th anniversary, but can't personally see it being removed.

I'd love to see the guns/shooters removable from the vehicle.

I agree, Buzz seems to have a 'classic Disney' vibe. It doesn't rely on screens and still is a great ride. I do think the tech needs upgrading a bit, and maybe some of the scenes could be upgraded, but I really hope they don't remove it!

I doubt buzz gets lost, especially if they keep the tomorrow land motif. I would hate to lose laugh floor, but it really doesn't fit where it is. If they could move it to DHS, it would be a crowd eater, and yes some insiders have stated that the Door coaster is still being bandied about for DHS. Tie the two together and that would be awesome!

Great Movie Ride changes into Mickey Mouse attraction come 2018 using trackless ride system- Aug. 2nd, 2016
Martin recently said that this ride is still happening but don't expect an announcement soon.
"TheVisionarySoul" (WDWMagic), "Lee" (WDWMagic), Martin Smith (WDWMagic)

March 2017, plans are on hold
Missed this in last update, per Martin Smith GMR to close THIS year, for 2020 opening

I have heard we are not getting Club Villain back this Halloween season? Is this true?!

That would be a real shame, I thought it might be fun to book for our October trip.
It was spectacular last year and I would love to go again! Hopefully it's just that they haven't announced yet and its all a misunderstanding

Yeah that exact thing is often talked about in the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular thread. They take forever to schedule and upload the dates. People get concerned it won't be going during their vacation. Only once did it actually come to pass, and that was because of the Christmas show. Someone said over there that the folks in charge of special events like dessert parties, club villain, etc, always take much longer to decide on dates and put them online. I think if we hear anything, it might be July or August. It would be fun for sure, looks like good food an drink, but I should probably almost always defer to saving the money ;)
