Interesting. We were just in there in Dec. My kids hated it. I'm not a huge fan, but I admire the animatronics. Regardless, the last time they tried to redo The Tiki Room and did a seriously crappy job karma almost burned it to the ground. We will see if they do better this time.

Per WDW1974,

Disney is going to build a Star Wars boutique resort.

This doesn't surprise me, but I'm curious to see what "Disney boutique" is...I know what I think of, and although sometimes pricier than regular chain hotels, they aren't always. In my mind they equal design detail in room plus awesome guest customer service, and usually smaller than big hotels.

I'd really love to see a hotel with smaller enclaves that are themed to different parts of the Star Wars universe.

We've been talking about this as a family since they acquired SW!! How much we'd pay to stay at such a place. Hope it materializes!!!

I think anyone who thinks Disney's version of a "boutique" resort won't be substantially pricier hasn't been paying attention. ;)

I'm thinking boutique hotel in NYC territory... maybe higher.

We are DVC so wouldn't stay at such a place all the time, but I could see doing it when we go for a race.... 3 or 4 night stay...

And I misspoke earlier. I said our family has been talking about this since Disney acquired SW -- FALSE!! We were talking about it back when we first went to Star Wars Weekends! So in my book, they are LATE with this! Get cracking, Disney!! :)

Rumor from WDW1974

Enchanted Tiki Room to close, replacement yet to be determined.
Interesting that Spirit has heard from one source that Stitch could be a possible overlay for Tiki Room... Hmmmm.

Or could Tiki Room be the location for Magic Kingdom's Club 33?

* Edited to correct attraction.

Tokyo has a stitch overlay for their Tiki Room which is what he is talking about possibly coming to MK.

Club 33 is not going into stitch.

Oh right, i'll have to look that one up. If they are getting rid of one Stitch attraction, I personally can't see them just making another...

Whoops, didn't mean Stitch, meant Tiki Room! Sorry! Could Club 33 be put in Tiki Room location?

Possible but doubtful. I think Club 33 will go elsewhere.

WDW and no ETA yet.

I wonder if this has any chance of being connected to the park in some way, similar to the resort in Tokyo Disney Sea. Boutique to me means a much smaller, high end resort experience. What a better way than by integrating it into the park in some way where you have direct access from the resort to the Star Wars Land.

Yep as told in a WDWNT article today. We have a thread on this subject and I have linked to it on the first page.

Not the tiki room :sad:I love the song and the show. I do have to say though it could work but please don't go :(

Only 2 nights??

Okay, I am with some here, I like Star wars, but I go to WDW for all the parks and adventures.

This seems to me to be targeted specifically for SW fans, which is fine. But I doubt i would do it.

I can't wait for some of the SWE stuff coming. I don't have to live star wars 24/7 though while I am down there.
