Oooops, I totally forgot that Mercedes Mason was in the main credits. For some reason, I (mis)remembered her being listed with the guest stars.

And I didn't mean that Bishop would assume the role of captain overnight, obviously. I meant they probably are toying with that progression as part of her long-term arc, i.e. if the series manages to run 7+ seasons.

Let's hope the show gets a second season! They are on the bubble, so it could go either way. And after last week's show, who knows if Bishop will still be around?

Well, sometimes they do it so they will get renewed. They are on the bubble, so I guess they hope the cliffie will give ABC a reason to renew.

I'm glad they aren't going to fire her. I'm going to miss her character. Her back story had a lot of potential.
