My husband and I are in the final stages of planning our WDW vacation. Our preliminary dates are from 4/6 - 4/13 (which we are told are the dates my step-daughter's cheer competitions at WDW falls into, but awaiting the final confirmation before we book hotel). It will be myself, my husband, and my 2 sons (10 & 8). One daughter may stay with us for a few days, but we're not sure about that yet. Planning on booking POR for the 7 nights, in case we need the trundel bed.

As for passes.. I was considering getting 6 day hopper plus passes (for the 4 of us). We could possibly be at cheer competitions for 2-3 days, with large gaps in between the girls comeptitions, and I thought being able to get into World of Sports may help occupy my son's time while we wait. My husband would never take the chance of leaving the area to go to a park and possibly not make it back in time. I doubt we would use the water parks.

The plan (as it stands now) is to arrive mid-afternoon on Tues., (we are coming in from NY and don't want to have to get up at 3am to catch the 7am flight) relax, use the pool, maybe do Downtown Disney, early bed and hit the parks first thing on Wed. Do the parks Wed. & Thurs, leave Fri & Sat open for cheering, and then parks on Sun (Easter) and Mon. Tues. use pool again, relax before flight home.

What do you think? Do I have the right passes?
Thanks

This is a very subjective question. I see you only show going to the parks for 5 days, so why get the 6 DHP? On the outside chance you'll want to go on Fri or Sat? That's a good plan. But then, why not get the 7 DHP and cover all your bases? If you get a 7 DHP you could sneak in Epcot on Saturday evening for dinner and Illuminations if you had the time and energy (after cheering for the cheerleaders!).

These are passes are good forever (never expire) so you can't go too wrong if you ever plan to come back.

I like the plus passes because I like going to PI some evenings. I just think the plus passes are a much better value for me. And they probably will be for your family, too.

It really becomes a personal decision. But I think you're on the right track. That is, UMP's would not be a good choice for your situation. The plus-hoppers fit your needs a lot better.

Good luck and have fun!
