I'm gald you liked my Peepfest Meets ideas !! We definately have tohave some FUNNY ones !! Now as for the Fockers , we are already intergrated .. I am an original Focker as in on the THREAD that was banned:scared1::rotfl2:I just thought of another ... The Chinese Laundry !!!!!!:rotfl2:
This one is a must! Of course it needs to be staged for the mother of all pictures!

The ceremony is on Monday, May 17th.

The day before we leave for WDW! :goodvibes May is going to be a good month! :yay:

She was an angel and I have her business card so if I ever need a taxi at WDW I call her!

I would love to have her # for when we're there. Would you PM her info. as well? It's always good to know someone who you can trust in business. I try and throw my business their way as much as I can to honor that part of them.

Hooray! One more update before I get hopelessly behind! :rotfl2: I was so wrong on the boxers..I should have thought of the luck-dice connection..(typed lick there the first time, wouldn't that have made for interesting commentary?? LOL). I loove the view from the room..so beautiful! I think meeting that asst of Dis'ers would win anyone over..all of you guys are so great!

California is such a huge state with differing climates and cultures. Can't wait to show you my home state.:thumbsup2

That's the truth! I loved living where you could ski up north and then come down south and go to the beach all in one day if you wanted. :goodvibes

I'll quote you when I talk with the sr. pastor...:rotfl2:

 Go for it!! :thumbsup2

Makes sense, right?!? :)

A big Dis :welcome: to Tracy!! This is a great place to jump in!

Jordy, Derek or Wendy or all of ya... Coming to Az this summer??? After last summer's stories if so, I will line up some chaperones for Jordy :rotfl2: Of course I am kidding but if you are heading this way I would love to meet up!

Mary, thanks for the offer if we come out to AZ. Wendy and I (and Jordy who usually tags along for R&R) love Scottsdale and the Westin Kierland Villas (WKV). We usually make it out there once a year. Fortunately or unfortunately, Westin just opened a brand new timeshare in Palm Desert called Westin Desert Willows Villas (WDWV) which is way closer (2 hours vs. 7 hours one way) so we may be detoured from AZ but we'll have to see. I personally don't mind the drive but even after 4 days in Scottsdale, I usually wish I had more days to stay. Also, some of Wendy's cousins have recently relocated from AZ to LA so we lost our babysitters......but we'll keep you posted on our plans.:thumbsup2

Almost. I have 1, maybe 2, more updates coming for day 1

:faint: I never knew a one week trip could take so many more days and weeks to recap. I now know why you and Wendy get so much more value than me out of our WDW trips.....before, during and after....planning, living out and re-living every Disney moment.....:scratchin. Don't get me wrong, I like Disney...but I'm no fanatic......

You know me, I'd rather be at Maui on the beach:beach: or at Castaway Cay (at the beach sans kids) having the waves lap at our feet....but alas, those were glory days:sad1:

IYou know, he was thinking the same thing. Funny thing is that you guys sound a lot alike. The entire time we were heading up to BLT he was whispering to me "these people don't want a bunch of strangers in their room!!!" :rotfl2:
Actually, I didn't let on that I was so dead tired from our flight that when Wendy said we were going to have visitors, I was going to look for a closet to hide in and take a nap. Fortunately, I enjoyed meeting you all and bonded with your DH.:worship:

Which I totally understood so we made a pact to go in, say hello and come right back out. But then the kiddo's started playing and you guys started talking. It was nice. We really enjoyed the little bit of time there with everyone. But yeah, next time the guys could hang for a brewski I suppose. (:scared1: Did I really just say that???) j/k Or maybe the girls could have a spa day!!
Maybe a fair trade off is letting the dads go to ESPN Zone after the kids are asleep and the wives are well rested from their spa day.:cool1:

DS would love to catch up with your kiddo's! Wendy told me on facebook to tell him Happy Birthday from them. I believe his exact response was "AWESOME!!!!!" :rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: It didn't take him long, did it??
Sorry I missed the birthday wishes for your DS. If you Skype, we'll have to get on sometime...the kids have gotten the hang of it since I Skype with some other friends and there's nothing better (next to being there in person) than seeing someone that you're talking to, especially if they're in another state!:surfweb:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:
I have had DIS itis for several years .. I do not believe there is a cure !!!!:rotfl2:

Well someof us are no longer IMAGINARY!!! Crazy Yes Disney OCD definately but no longer Imaginary!!!:rotfl2:

He learnt right Wendy!!!!:rotfl2:

Wendy may have to cut me off at a couple of posts a night. I think she feels I'm online too much already:badpc:, tweeting, Facebooking, managing various websites for my alumni club and family websites, the list goes on and on.

But now that I'm claiming you as my personal "imaginary" friends, I guess she can't complain too much.:lmao:

Welcome Tracy! You picked the right place on the DIS to get to know people. I'm pretty sure they're ALL here!

I don't want to know if it's healthy or not. I love their deserts. DH sends stuff for me to bring to work sometimes and the ladies love it. For 2 birthdays last year I brought their tiramisu. For teacher appreciation he did a tray of mini deserts.
Anyone else hungry now?

Yes!!! I'm so jealous!

It sounds like my kind of place...I wish they would head out West....

I was in shock when I moved out of CA how many restaurant chains do not exist there. My dad (a produce business owner for 30 years) says that the laws and taxes on business owners in CA is just not worth it for many. Some of my non-CA faves are Texas Roadhouse, Carrabba's, Red Hot and Blue, Abuelo's, Sullivan's Steakhouse...(all of which have a location in AZ except for RH&B, as far as I'm aware, so next time you're here you have a list to check out:thumbsup2)

Jordy, Derek or Wendy or all of ya... Coming to Az this summer???

I'd totally be there! Unless I come to Cali first, which frankly, in the summer, is where I'd prefer to be.:lmao:

But now that I'm claiming you as my personal "imaginary" friends, I guess she can't complain too much.:lmao:

Swiper, no swiping!:rotfl:

I was once again Waaaaaay behind. Loved the updates. I was very touched by the article on your Dad. He's my kind of guy, the cup is half full not half empty. On the soup subject may I suggest the Tomato Basil from La Madeleine's. I don't usually like tomato soup at all, but love this with a little shredded cheese on top. Yum! Send me your address by PM and I'll send you some. DH works there so I have some at home.

Sounds like your sister in law may be worse than my sister. I don't think she means to be such a downer just doesn't think before she speaks.

I'm pretty sure Jordy can't have this soup. If he's lactose intolerant then this soup will surely do him in. :sad1: It has cream in it. Don't even get me started on the fat count in this soup! Holy Moly!
I will give it that it does taste really good!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA again- I've been :laundy: and packing - Jim came home today from a week long trip and I'm off to convention in Vegas in the morning with 3 of my girlfriends!:yay: Don't have too much fun without me - what am I saying, I know you will!

DJay, try to keep Cherie away from the poles until I get back! :cool1:

Tammie! :yay:  We miss you! :lovestruc Have a truly safe and blessed trip, let us know when you get back. No promises on the Cherie and poles thing. :sad2:

im speechless :worship:

I know, right?!?

Don't mean to sound like a goof ball but this is so exciting! I've never posted anywhere before - thanks for making me feel so welcome!

Yeaaa, someone new to torture....I mean to welcome! :rotfl:
Hi ya Tracy. Welcome aboard! You've now officially boarded the crazy train, and it's one heck of a ride! :goodvibes

well...you've got 2 years...plenty of time for us to corrupt you.;)
::yes:: Sad but true. :laughing:

Get out, really?

I know! I was thinking the same thing. As much as Jordy has been on here...

The one date I went on was great, but she and I are both strong people with strong opinions...we were already disagreeing on issues....Theologically she's very, very, very conservative. very.

I see this woman for the whole weekend, we'll see what happens.

Would that be crazy if I met my wife here on the Dis?

Wouldn't be crazy one tiny bit. Not good already disagreeing, it doesn't usually get better from there. :sad2:

:faint: I never knew a one week trip could take so many more days and weeks to recap. I now know why you and Wendy get so much more value than me out of our WDW trips.....before, during and after....planning, living out and re-living every Disney moment.....:scratchin. Derek, I know those glory days seem like a million miles away right now, so take this from someone who's looking at those days from the flip side of parenthood.....Drink in everything your living now.
These days with your babies will be the days you look back on and wish you had back in a nano second! Take as many pictures as possible because you'll never have to many, even if you shot off a 100 already. :goodvibes
And always remember....these days of babies won't be around for ever, in fact....they will be over before you know it, it just doesn't seem like it right now and I totally understand that feeling. Stealing some time with your honey every once and a while will help with this.
My oldest baby is about to graduate this June, and I can't believe (and yes I know everyone says this, but until you live it you won't get it) it's all happened so dang fast! < allowing self to cry about it for the first time> If I can still see the screen to type....and then having a ten year old who's body decided to go into hyper over drive and not stay my baby girl....I don't have anymore babies to hold onto. DRINK IT IN Derek, before long you'll be at my end of raising kiddos and thinking back and saying to yourself..."These were the glory days and I didn't get enough of it.....I just didn't get enough." :sad2: In this season of my life I think a lot about the song by Stevie Nicks (or for you younger ones Dixie Chicks)...Land Slide

I took my love and I took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
The Landslide brought it down

Oh mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
Mmm mmm I don’t know
Mmm mmm

Well I’ve been ‘fraid of changing ‘cause I
Built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older, I’m getting older too

Soo (Interlude)

I’ve been ‘fraid of changing ‘cause I
I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder, children get older
I’m getting older too
I’m getting older too......

You'll navigate these waters with raising babies just fine Derek, I have no doubt.

crazy how we are at opposite ends of the USA....
Oh I know!!! :goodvibes

Was he commando?
No, but he had some funny undies on!!! I wish he had been because then it would have been so much funnier!! :rotfl:

He had to think people would want to "check" to see if he was wearing the kilt the proper way!

QUOTE]

Oh absolutely...and he should have known that person would be me!! ;)

Swiper, no swiping!:rotfl:
Melissa, my kids (or Erin used to when she was younger) love Dora!

Camille, thanks for the reality check. I had to play "Landslide" on Blipfm to recall the lyrics and song. Nice selection. I"ll play a blip in your honor.

Yes, I'm sure the years will go by fast, they already are. I look at Ashlyn who is only 19 months old and she's already beginning to talk a mile a minute like her older brother and sister. I used to say that I'd miss the "baby stages" so it's nice to have a young infant, early toddler to remind me how fast time changes.

I suppose I'm just harkening back to the days of lore when Wendy, Jordan and I used to relax on the beaches of Castaway Cay on the adult beach.....no worries.....plenty of silence and relaxation. But I can only imagine how fast the years will go by and I'll be looking back at these family trips with the wee little ones.

Take care,
Derek:yay:

I see this woman for the whole weekend, we'll see what happens.

Would that be crazy if I met my wife here on the Dis?

That would be appropriate I say!! At least you'd know you wouldn't have to argue about your vacations!! ;)

Ohhh already disagreeing on issues is not good :sad2:.

Finding your wife on the DIS could be fun :rotfl:. It could be like the dating game on the DIS. We could make up a questionaire to see if the woman was "Jordan worthy" ;).

:rotfl::rotfl: Oh yes, DisDating... ahhh the fun that would be. :rotfl::rotfl:

is jordan worthy anything like sponge worthy....;)

One of my favorite Elaine speeches of all time! :lmao:

You'll have to join Jordan's Peeps (http://peepfest.ning.com) to become an "official" Peepster. I'm hoping that the Ning site can be a place to plan out future Peepfests and other gatherings.

Derek, you've done an awesome job with that site!:thumbsup2 I looked, but had to do some real work before I go a chance to sign up. :sad2:

I will though soon, since those Feb dates are the dates we usually go! We may be along for the mini February Peepfest!! :woohoo:

Here's the chronological breakdown as best as I could map it out. (Click each title for the link.)

"Yeah, yeah - just gimme all you got"

well jordan you already have the ball rolling on finding a wife here, you have showed them all your underooos.

I was twenty pages behind so I skipped all the comments, Jordan. :goodvibes

So, what you are saying is the tomato soup was really good??? :rotfl:

Charles has an aunt like your SIL -- I don't understand negative people at all. :sad2:

What a wonderful article about your dad. Every time I read about the Japanese-American internment, I just shake my head and wonder WTH was the United States thinking? A dark moment for sure in our history. How cool about your dad getting an honorary degree! :goodvibes

Lucky dice chonies! Of course! :lmao:

I love that Derek has fallen under the DIS spell! We are pretty normal except for that Mouse obsession. :rotfl2:

GGEEESSHHH, I go away for 5 days and might never get caught up!!!! But I was in Orlando and it was great and I am shamlessly promoting my TR:rotfl:

Hi Tracy - hello! Jordan and all of you have have provided me with so many laughs. I'm glad I finally came out of hiding. I feel like I know all of you.

:welcome: Tracy! I think this is the first TR I posted on too.

I don't want to know if it's healthy or not. I love their deserts. DH sends stuff for me to bring to work sometimes and the ladies love it. For 2 birthdays last year I brought their tiramisu. For teacher appreciation he did a tray of mini deserts.

Yum! yes, now I want tiramisu!

I will give it that it does taste really good!

In this season of my life I think a lot about the song by Stevie Nicks (or for you younger ones Dixie Chicks)...Land Slide

The nutritional info at La Madeleine can make one very, very sad. :rotfl:

Land Slide :thumbsup2 one of my favorite songs to sing at karaoke (the Dixie Chicks version, I can't pull off the Stevie Nicks version).

It's not unusual to be loved by anyone
It's not unusual to have fun with anyone

I saw a stand-up comedian a while ago who told a story about eating at a diner with a friend of his, and the friend pumped about $20 into the little juke-box thingees at the table. For every selection he picked "What's New Pussycat". Those are about the extent of the lyrics, with a couple of whoa-whoa-whoa's thrown in. It gets very monotonous real fast. I was crying from laughter at his description.
