I ordered pizza and this chocolate lava cake.
OMG the one from Domino's??? I DREAM about that cake! But now that I'm on weight watchers I can't eat it anymore :sad1:

We WERE in the carpool lane. Can you believe it!

I despise traffic. I am so happy that I finally got a GPS so I can navigate around it now. I get angry and violent when I have to drive in traffic. Road Rage is my middle name.

I told the lady who sat on them that it was god's way of saying I needed new ones;)

I've had some funky ones through the years...

That's exactly what I thought when I first read that they were sat on! Everything happens for a reason! I remember when I was younger, my sister and I were fighting over something (as usual) so my mom got up to yell at us and put her glasses down on the couch. Before she could get back, the dog jumped up on the couch and laid down on the glasses, effectively breaking them into 4 pieces. Mom was not happy.

You should have seen the glasses my brother had when he was little! They were multicolored....green, purple, yellow, red....all around the frames. It was like looking at color wheels. He called them his "party glasses." I need to find a picture and publicly humiliate him again. He is about to be 23 next month, and hasn't worn glasses in years...or contacts for that matter. He just goes around blind. I don't know how he does it.

IMO, what's missing in the lives of racists (and gang-bangers, etc.) is the one thing you have-religious devotion. Children nowadays are being raised without any religion at all. It's so sad.

Children are barely being raised at all - parents sit them down in front of a TV and go off where ever and just let the TV do the parenting. I hate it. I hate going into the "bad parts" of town, not necessarily because of racism, but just because I can't stand seeing adults sitting on their front porch selling drugs (in broad daylight), while CHILDREN play outside in the parking lots and streets. Down near where my BF's brother lives, the built a playground across the street from a low income housing complex....but there's not crosswalk, no traffic light, not even a stop sign. So not only are the kids out there by themselves, but now they have to walk across a street in a downtown urban area, if they want to play on the playground. Sorry I'm rambling and totally not even on the same topic anymore! But I ditto what everyone else says! I can't stand ignorance.

Hi Jordan, I used to go on retreats in High School and they were always fun, positive, and left me feeling calm inside. I went to Catholic School for 12 years so we prayed every morning at 7 and it really helped when things were feeling bad. I am so sad about the racism-I think you are so precious and honestly all Asians are so cute! My sister lived in Tokyo for 2 years and she said that she has never encountered more gentle, compassionate people as living there. People are just so ignorant, I guess you have to feel sorry for them-for not being as cool as you!:cool2:
Two hours of prayer for you? Wow!
I think that a girl would be lucky to have you-you are so kind and funny and handsome, and very stylish. But, on a selfish side, you would not have any time for us.

I went to retreats in high school and early college then stopped going. It's been nice to go to them again....

If people would only take the time to get to know one another.

I would have a hard time giving up my personal time for a Girlfriend.

I am so glad I work so close to home now.

You would give up some personal time for the right woman. :)

Seems like a contradiction in terms "Momentum, a retreat for YOUNG leaders" and you, a guy pushing 50...I think you'd be a better model for a sign like "Depends, a solution for incontinence"

Picture of another cousin and I. She, Wendy and I are around the same age.

Gotta backup Wendy on this one, seems like a stretch to label Wendy in the same age bracket as you and Jill.:confused3 but again, maybe senility is kicking in.

Is that a BYU hat? Just struck me as odd.

I can't find it again, but I laughed when I read "Sometimes I forget that I'm Asian...".
You remember where I grew up. People don't believe me (since I'm obviously "white") when I tell them that I was a minority in my HS. Sometimes I forgot that I wasn't Asian. ;)

I'm no sociologist but it seems to me that "race" in America is really more about "class". People who have little and are afraid of losing what they have, lash out at others, look for someone to blame, and try to protect what they perceive they could lose. If we lessened the gap between classes I think the racism would decrease as well.

There was a huge movement in the 70s, continuing for decades after, of black social workers who were against white families adopting black children. (It is still common practice to try to match a child with same race parents first, before looking at other races as options, which I don't necessarily oppose.) When we had to fill out paperwork for our adoptions the only hesitation we had to possibly adopting outside our own race was that others would think and how that would affect the child's life. What bothers me is that these opinions of race, and how things should be are 100% taught to us, by our parents, our peers. Children don't see color or race. Too bad we have to lose that innocence.

Love the TR (weekend) inside the TR. :thumbsup2

You wouldn't think there would be racism in a very liberal state like California, but I guess that could happen anywhere. :confused3 It is a shame. :sad2:

I think CT traffic is getting as bad as CA traffic. The difference is with our wonderful 2 lane highways, once there is an accident (usually involving a tractor trailer) the whole highway gets shut down for hours.

I'm trying to keep up here, but you're not helping!:rotfl2:

Honestly, I'm appalled that there is still racisim anywhere. It makes my eyes bleed just thinking about how clueless some people choose to be.:headache:

Other than that incindent it sounds like a great weekend! I still can't get over the fact that you always cary super glue.:rotfl:

Where did you grow up? I forget>...

It's so funny how hate is born out of lack of knowledge....and then not wanting to know.

It's a Yale hat. My brother works there.

The part that we got stuck on is 12 lanes across. 6 in each direction.:confused3

You'd be surprised. Orange County is often called the Bible belt of CA or people say "Living behind the Orange Curtain" because it's very conservative.
