Well I was wondering about the spot but I didn't want to be impolite! ;)

The picture was taken in sept 1983 during Resident Assistant training at UC Irvine. All the RAs had a party before the residents arrived to the dorms...It was hot; we were dancing and there was no A/C.

Plus I AM THE hot, sweaty Asian.

Picture of another cousin and I. She, Wendy and I are around the same age.
IMG_3030.jpg

Is Wendy the female you may have interest in????

I think the caption confused you... the above picture is of Jordan and another one of our cousins, Jill (so a non-option - plus she's married - ha). So it's "she (Jill), Wendy (me) and I (Jordan) are around the same age..." not "She, Wendy..." indicating that Jill is named Wendy. :sad2:

And hopefully it's not me since we've already dealt with that in the past (people thinking I'm Jordan's girlfriend). Ha ha. :faint:

Hee hee.

And I beg to differ, but you and Jill are 5 and 7 years older than me. Have to hang on to my pseudo-youth as long as i can. Hee hee hee.

Ahhh....I get it now.

You're over 40.

Sounds like you had such a nice weekend!

Sorry to hear your glasses had broken, but look at you!! Super glue to the rescue! :thumbsup2

Andddddddd, I love all the pictures of you with your glasses through the years!

Great weekend!

I must look funky because the glasses fit on me all funny....

I wish I could find my 6th grade picture with my john denver glasses and bowl haircut...

This a picture of us praying for the young man going to Japan this summer; my soon to be broken glasses on on the carpet behind me...

Bank...oh yeah....thats what I talking about..;)

The restroom was the only time I had time to myself....

Lol. Seems now that I'm a mom, the only time I have to myself is using the restroom or taking a shower. :P

Update coming, but I think I'll take a shower first...maybe eat linner too....

Linner...finally...another person besides family who calls it a meal. :thumbsup2

I don't know what I'd do if someone yelled rude things at my children but it probably wouldn't be pretty. :maleficen

Being a momma now, if anyone said anything to my kid that was rude, I'd pounce on them like a lioness protecting her cubs. :)

I hope we can eradicate ignorance in America....

My glasses broke again this morning when I took them off....I'm gonna need new ones sooner than later...plus I look nerdy...;)

Glasses...don't get me started. Between the two of us, DH and I spent $700 on 4 pairs of glasses 2 weeks ago. They were needed badly though. I hadn't had a new pair in about 4 or 5 years.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

The glue comes in handy single use tubes 4 to a pack. I highly recommend having it on hand...you just never know when you'll run into a steel girder....:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hmmmm...Not a bad idea to pick up some superglue like that. With a 2 year old it seems he always breaks a toy while we're out and about. And then cries about it until I can get home to fix it.

I did see "the girl" that I am sort of interested in this weekend..No spark....:confused3

Bummer. :confused3 But, think of it this way...sometimes things just aren't meant to be.

And to the meat of the post. Great update.

Were you guys in the HOV/carpool lane to boot? That's flipping crazy!! :scared1:

Glad you fixed your glasses...however temporary it was.

Hopefully your week is starting out quiet.

Great to see you back.
Sounds like a great time and full of inspiration.
Maybe the broken glasses were the sign that you need new ones.

So sorry that the hotel had to warn you about the "not so nice side of life"

 about all the glasses pictures through the years. You were stylin.

I would go back up to my room and just enjoy the peace and quiet.

I'm looking at frames right now online.

very inspirational indeed.

I told the lady who sat on them that it was god's way of saying I needed new ones;)

I've had some funky ones through the years...

It is sad. How do we open eyes? What is my part in changing that attitude...?

IMO, what's missing in the lives of racists (and gang-bangers, etc.) is the one thing you have-religious devotion. Children nowadays are being raised without any religion at all. It's so sad.

Let me tell you this story of how outspoken I am...me, my mom, my sister, and Hollie were at the mall one day. Hollie was about 8 months old. WE got in the elevator and this teenage boy and his girlfriend got in with us. They were probably 15 and 14. Anyways, Hollie is waving and smiling at them and the girl is looking at Hollie like she is a germ or bug that is about to latch on her. She actually gave Hollie a dirty look!!! I immediately looked at my mom (who I can embarrass really easily) and said, "You know what bugs me?? People who are so rude that when a small baby looks at them and smiles, they look at the baby like its gonna eat them or that the baby is a germ. That bugs me!" Then I looked at this girl and said, "When my baby smiles and waves at you...you smile and wave back if you want to keep your limbs attached....got it???? Don't even look at my baby without so much as a huge smile on your face" OH MY GOSH....my mom was about to pass out!! My sister starts laughing and the guy is like uh oh.... But, I was still kind of hormonal and just could not understand why people are the way they are!! :lmao:

I am telling you..crazy southern lady!! ;)

:rotfl2::lmao:

That is hilarious!! Good for you!

My mom and I are pretty outspoken as well. And I'll just leave it at that. :rolleyes1

I'm thinking about how to put my journey on a public forum.....it'll be out there....

Blog about it. You know, in between everything else you have going on in life. ;)

I just can't believe you're still single. You're a complete package...funny, one with your faith, lover of Disney, hot, sweaty...;) Hmmm...maybe it's the sweaty part.

I would go back up to my room and just enjoy the peace and quiet.

:thumbsup2

My neighbor had her eyes checked, then brought her script for glasses home and ordered like 6 pair off of zennioptical.com (I think that's the right spelling). They have frames as low as $8. I'm contemplating ordering an "emergency" pair for myself in the next week or so since my two year old and the 6 month old I babysit like to take my glasses off.

I could tell you were (that's how our carpool lanes are set up as well). That's just nuts that even the carpool lane was poking along! :scared1:

Yay for being off today. And yay for sleeping in! :thumbsup2

Ok. I have to turn off the computer now. I'm beat (my son got his Easter presents today and we had to clean his room and the living room in order to get fit them in) and it's close to his bedtime. I'll try to pop back on using my phone later.
