The return of "EARLY ENTRY" to WDW!!! Great news... starts on October 1st!

Great news....Something weird though...For my trip coming up we'll have 5 park days. Had started a rough plan for what park on what days. On 4 of the 5 days, my choice matches the early entry day. How cool is that...

That is great news..sometimes we use it, sometimes we do not.. but we do like the choice.. Yahoo..

Disney Announces "Extra Magic Hour"!

Disney is bringing back early entry as the "Extra Magic
Hour" as of October 1, 2002. This feature is for Disney
Resort guests only and includes guests staying at the
Walt Disney World Swan/Dolphin Hotels and the Hilton
at Lake Buena Vista Hotel. The "Extra Magic Hour" will
be one hour prior to the regularly scheduled park
opening hours on specific dates. Please note below
each park's scheduled "Extra Magic Hour" days are as
follows:

Sunday -----Magic Kingdom
Monday -----Disney's Animal Kingdom
Tuesday----- Disney's MGM Studios
Wednesday --Epcot
Thursday -----Magic Kingdom
Friday ---------Disney's Animal Kingdom
Saturday------- Disney's MGM Studios

As part of this change Disney will be discontinuing
their Character Caravan as of September 30, 2002. This
will be the final day for the caravan.

I hate to be the downer here, but did anyone else notice the
on specific dates comment in the above post??

I hope it's not only at peak times because I think onsite guests deserve it all year long!!:D

In speaking with an operator last night (booking trip), he mentioned that they won't be re-instating the "hour early" policy for security reasons.....especially around the holidays. They want to have full security all the time, and the extra hour was causing some turmoil.

Just what I heard, but it makes sense.

Happy Dance!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
I am going to try and call and get verification!!!
I don't want this to be just another "rumor"!!

I am SO LOOKING FORWARD to our trip!!!!

Thanks for the happy news!

Adams, I think (hope) that just means that park hours are different on different dates.

AK is included - that's new!

Great news!!! Now just to get the teen-agers out of bed early will be the next thing!!!:jester:

I'm glad Animal Kingdom will be a part of EE!!:bounce:

I just returned from a business trip to find this information!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: When I told my DH and DS (11) they cheered!!!!
