I'm here! I've been catching up and I'm loving it so far! Ugh, sorry your travel day was so terrible. Not a very magical way to enter the world, huh? But it sounds like Aisling was a trooper during the travel and the next morning. After all of that, I can't believe you made rope drop! I can't even do that after a normal travel day. Can't wait for more!

No it wasn't very magical There was also a really weird moment when I was cleary delirious from the lack of sleep because i told Randy that we were going to WDW WAAAAAY too often because I felt like I had JUST been to MCO.

Yay! You are a real trooper. I would never ever make it for rp if i went to sleep around the tiime you did. I love the AKL pictures.

I rented through the DIS actually! There is a rental forum on here http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29

It was super simple. I read through the posts of people who had the points/date available for what I needed, contacted a few, first one who got back to me and provided good references, I went with. They emailed me a copy of the reservation and when they did, I sent the $ via pay pal.

I will definitely look into it more. I would love to do a split stay at AKL and BLT so if I can convince DH to become a DVC member we would know which one we like.

I can't wait for the final go ahead from DH so I can pick our dates and start my research. Thanks again!

We booked in January for May and paid LESS than 50% off rack rate for a regular savannah view room- let alone with the kitchen area! We actually only paid a few dollars more than POFQ-reg view- (where we were originally thinking of staying this trip) WITH A CODE would have been. We definitely plan to do it again if we can. Our first choice for next trip is BCV and if we can't stay there, we'll return to AKV.

I interrupt this reguarly scheduled TR to inform you that my mom ROCKS. A little background is that she now takes my grandmother on yearly trips instead of buying her gifts for Christmas/Birthday/Mother's Day. My grandmother had mentioned wanting to go to Ireland one year but is wavering because of the amount of walking involved. Well today Travelzoo (if you don't have travelzoo...JOIN!) had an amazing offer from Boston to Dublin (most likely because the Euro is tanking right now). So I forwarded it to my mom. She still doesn't know about taking my grandmother BUT she responded with "how about I get this for you and Randy for a combo anniversary/Christmas gift" That's right...she's offering to send us to IRELAND. We'd have to travel between the end of August and Halloween. We are thinking of going Columbus Day weekend (the deal is for a Thur-Tues). The deal includes airfare and hotel so we'd just have to pay food and spending money. What do you think???? Do I do it? Leave my child with my mom for almost a week and go to Europe????????????????????

Isn't it amazing??? Going to Dublin has the same "going home" feeling to me as Disney. It's been 12 years since I've lived there and I know I can still find my way around! My friends there are going to flip. I haven't seen them since January 2003. Aisling was born in October 2003 so you can do the math why we haven't been back there since

We have left Aisling with my mom before to go on various short trips. And my mom takes her to Maine for a week every summer. But Maine is 1 1/2 hours away. This is 7 hours by PLANE! And my blackberry won't work! Actually maybe this isn't such a bad thing! Randy and I haven't been away alone for more than a night in years.
