The REAL Longest Thread In Dis History Part 6

Hi everyone! I have not caught up on this thread yet...maybe later today...I'm busy trying to read HP this week so my DH can read next week before it is due back to the library.

And I haven't even begun packing for OCNJ yet...

Also, I finally went to the urgent care center yesterday and have a pretty bad ear infection -- doc said he couldn't even see my ear drum from all the swelling and "ooze" in there...so I'm on meds and special ear drops...my left side of my head throbs...doc said I should start to get some relief tomorrow...if not, then he'll try stronger meds...

I'm so sorry you have such a bad ear infection, that is so painful. Wear ear plugs while in the water in Ocean City!! Buy a bottle of swimmers ear also, if your ear is better by then and you can go in the water without ear plugs, put a few drops in your ear when you get out of the water each time. You can even do that after a shower. It helps ward off future infections from getting water in your ear!!!! Hope you feel better quick!!!

Just a heads up, I just saw a commercial for Food Network Challenge: Princess Cakes for next Sunday! Check your local listings! ;)

OK, since no one is on the boards, you all missed my surprise...on Trentmom's DS pic of his new haircut I said what I thought was a common phrase about looking so "shiny and clean" (* and span)...however I got bleated out! The filter is working overtime here...

What the heck is wrong with that???? Maybe I'm just dense. :rotfl2:

Thanks:thumbsup2 ,my DD who is 7 saw the first movie and she really liked so I think I might start renting the movies and when school starts up start reading the books. For some reason I can never seem to finish a book in the summer.:goodvibes

Sounds like a good idea to me!!!! :goodvibes :thumbsup2 They do get darker as they go on, so you'll have to use your best judgment as a mother on what your children should see. ::yes::

I saw an interesting article in one of my parent magazines this weekend...it compared various household supplies/medicines to candy/drinks. The point was to show that a toddler will look at one and not know the difference.

Windex Bottle to Blue Gatorade Sports drink

Red or green pills to Mike and Ike's Candy
(same thing with Starburst candies)

You know that really makes sense. A lot of prescription pills look like candy pieces as well. You have to be soooo careful!

YEAY! I made it!!! IN the Borders around 9:30 or so! A few people asked if they could take my picture! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Y'all look so cute! You are so good, you made that didn't you? Glad someone took your picture. 6:15 to 9:30 isn't bad at all. I have never camped out for anything but have gone and waited around to get tickets to this country music stations anniversary show every June in Philadelphia!

The pics were great, lots of great details. You sure have a nice big Borders. We don't have Borders or Barnes & Nobles down here. We have a place called Books A Million and it's nice, but not nearly as big or nice as those other stores.

The little girl was cute being interviewed.

Was your car the silver SUV in the parking lot????

Sorry, I should have been more clear. 6:15AM is when I go there in the morning. They opened and started giving out tickets at 9:00AM. You could leave when you got your ticket and come back that night. 9:30PM is that picture of me in my costume. We had to wait until midnight for them to start selling the books! ::yes::

I see Fraggle Rock dolls!!!

Let the Music Play....Worries for another day....:rolleyes1

I used to love that show!!!

I LOVE Fraggle Rock!!!!  The only one they didn't make was Mokey(the taller hippie-ish one with purple hair), I don't know why. :(

Did you read from like 4am to 11pm sat??

WOW!!!

No, no... I couldn't! I went to sleep around 5AM, and slept until about 10:30AM. Then I started reading again. Had a little lunch while reading, then read for most of the afternoon. I took two half an hour(ish) naps at some point, had dinner then read until around 11:00PM. It read SO slow!!!!

Right, but... as you saw if you came back at midnight exactly, you might not have been able to get in! That's why I made sure to be there so early that night at 9:30PM!!! Just after 9:00AM, yes.

Thank you to both of you.She had sent me some pics when I told her I wanted to change my avatar, yes she is very sweet.:goodvibes
