Hi everyone! I have not caught up on this thread yet...maybe later today...I'm busy trying to read HP this week so my DH can read next week before it is due back to the library.

And I haven't even begun packing for OCNJ yet...

Also, I finally went to the urgent care center yesterday and have a pretty bad ear infection -- doc said he couldn't even see my ear drum from all the swelling and "ooze" in there...so I'm on meds and special ear drops...my left side of my head throbs...doc said I should start to get some relief tomorrow...if not, then he'll try stronger meds...

Wow...sounds like your ear is pretty bad. Hope you feel better soon. Do you think you might have got it from swimming or something?

I got DH to upload the pic from my camera phone to the computer.

As you can see in the pic before, DS desperately needed a haircut.

He hates it and it is always such an ordeal.

So, with the promise of McDonald's playland afterwards, He was an angel.....Who would have thought...

Here is the result of his haircut. I tried to get him to take his hands away from his face, but he refused...oh well.. Here you go:

Awww, he looks so neat and clean with that haircut!

I'm done. I'm fairly satisfied. I'll put it this way, I didn't have to eat the whole quart of Cold Stone ice cream.

OK, since no one is on the boards, you all missed my surprise...on Trentmom's DS pic of his new haircut I said what I thought was a common phrase about looking so "shiny and clean" (* and span)...however I got bleated out! The filter is working overtime here...

I saw an interesting article in one of my parent magazines this weekend...it compared various household supplies/medicines to candy/drinks. The point was to show that a toddler will look at one and not know the difference.

Windex Bottle to Blue Gatorade Sports drink

Red or green pills to Mike and Ike's Candy
(same thing with Starburst candies)

I got to the Borders around 6:15AM and was kind of disappointed that there were about 15-20 people in front of me. I settled in against the wall to wait for 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Line in front of me...

No line behind...
