Just finished lunch....dreading my dental appointment today. I worked a half day from home and I'm taking a half day of personal time to go and sit in the torture chair for two and a half hours (get to do it all over again next week too)

Is America's Got Talent child friendly at all. We all watched it together last year but with Sharon Osbourne I'm a little leary. The kids want to watch it with me and I don't want to make a major mistake by just turning it on.

Piers was mean to the kids (even if you agreed with what he was saying) so that may be enough reason not to watch. Last night was probably generally ok for kids, except I felt sorry for the geeky guys that were out there doing their show or trying to and they got booed off the stage.

So there might be some 'plaining to do with why people are booing and making fun of others...

I don't remember any sexual comments...

I thought DD was already 2....my bad!...

Nope, her 2nd bday is July 13th. So we returned all the toys we got at Target since once we got them home, we didn't like them Besides I had two $5 off coupons at Toys R Us to use. So I bought her a Sesame Street Magna Doodle that actually has more things to it and a magnetic puzzle for traveling. Then I got her a 3 piece Disney princess luggage set (roller cart, backpack and make up bag) that was on clearance.

At check out, there was a sign that said 'if you are not asked if you want batteries, then you get $5 gift card'. Sure enough, the cashier did not ask me (she was new and forgot) so I got my $5 card. Will go back later and buy a book.

Actually I have to start packing...we are going away this weekend to Williamsburg. My bank messed up a deposit I had and after they corrected it they offered me two nights in a hotel. So we get a partially free trip. We decided to go to Busch Gardens since I love amusement parks and DD does too.

I've asked the company twice now if I have to sit through a timeshare lecture and they told me "no". But I just have this feeling that it is a timeshare thing. If so, I'll be

That's cool that you can get away for the weekend, at least partly on their dime. I guess the place where you are staying participates in timeshares? I hope you don't have to sit through one of those things with poor DD in your lap...

wanted to dig his tomato garden, but it was very hard
work as the ground was hard. His only son, Vinnie,
who used to help him, was in prison. The old man
wrote a letter to his son and described his
predicament:


Dear Vinnie,

I am feeling pretty badly because it looks like I
won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year.
I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden
plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be
over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for
me.

Love, Dad


A few days later he received a letter from his son:


Dear Dad,

Don't dig up that garden. That's where I buried the
bodies.

Love, Vinnie


At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local
police arrived and dug up the entire area without
finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and
left. That same day the old man received another
letter from his son:


Dear Dad,

Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That's the best
I could do under the circumstances.
