hey it took me this long to start one!! imagine how long it would take to finish if I dont just do it today!!

Why don't you have DD color him something.....and you can put some special touches on it, since you are so crafty....

Can you make a collage of pics for him of dd that are recent...maybe for his desk at work??

Last D-day I made a special card for him that had pictures of him and DD together ... took over an hour to do...it's sitting in the bottom of his mail pile a year later...so no more wasting my craft time on him

I am jobless for the summer. Not that i'm complaining, but my DB got a job that pays $14.50 or something an hour. And he'd work 5 days a week 7 hours a day. Yes, I may be alone for the summer, if my DM gets the job at the school.

Im happy for them, but I just started crying.

Keep looking for a job -- they are out there -- summer camp helpers, waitress, movie attendants, babysitters, mother's helper, etc.

If you are involved in a church or similar organization you can see if they need help. Ours pays for childcare for special events. Or you can advertise to do do odd jobs (gardening, grocery shopping, etc)

How about a lifeguard, pet-sitting, house sitting, etc?

Try a temp agency. There are all types of jobs out there for short time assigments. You can try different things and find out what you like and what you are good at while being paid. You can get one for a week, a few days or if you are lucky the entire summer. Good Luck.

early April she went into the hospital because she had a hernia and she had surgery and stuff and is finally getting better... its a long story.. but hopefully she eill be better soon!

I just want to say that i hate group work. Especially when little miss gurlie is doing ALL the work for the group and it's worth 20% of the final mark. Im in FLAMES.

Hospitals are required under Joint Commission standars to have a phone available for use by patients...most hospitals used to charge to have a phone in the room, but I know very few who still do.

What does your DH like? Are there any CDs or DVDs he would like to have? How about making him up a coupon to be redeemed whenever he wants, pick a nice place for taking him to dinner. If he's handy around the house you could get him a gift card for Lowes or Home Depot. Even a nice aftershave, a pack of razors and a can of shaving cream is nice. Give him a set of stuff like that.
