The RC Weight Loss Support Thread. We're making a BIG change!

So far today ... greek yogurt for breakfast, also for lunch, with hard boiled eggs and some fruit. :goodvibes

Oh, and 2 diet cokes ... I know... bad ....but I loved every drop!! :cool1:

I'm guilty of indulging in a HUGE Diet Coke from Wendy's last night because my coworker was going, but I still drank over 80 oz of water anyway so I think I'm ok.

So for breakfast it was yogurt and coffee, lunch was Healthy Choice Meal and diet pepsi .... not too bad. :thumbsup2 Remember those chocolate chip cookies in the pantry???? Well I found them AGAIN!!! :scared1: But only one this time so I'm doing better! Of course the day isn't over yet! :rotfl2:

I have ones I bought at Trader Joe's but they aren't opened yet. They're calling me though!

You are all so wonderful and supportive - thank you so much for all your kind words and understanding.

I am here for you too and sharing our successes and the not so great days, allows us to know we can do this and it's okay to take twp steps forward and one step back...

So today started out great, but did not go as well as I hoped...

After we dropped Sophia off I went to Whole Foods and had a very healthy smoothie:

OJ, 3 strawberries, a huge amount of blueberries and 2 scoops protein.

So I had my berry for the day and great protein. Felt soo good and full.

Lunch: turkey sandwich on 7 grain bread. Baked chips (a few not the bag) a sweet tea, that was more unsweetened than sweetened....AND.....

Half of a strawberry cupcake. :( BUT I did not use the free refill for more tea, had bottled water instead. :)

Afternoon snack.....bottle of Fugi water....and another failure... a blondie brownie.

Supper.... mixed veggies, 2 small organic chicken tenders. Water.

Snack...Chick Fil A (sp) kid size icedream cone.

And I walked from 9 a.m. to 4:15 except 30 mins at lunch and 20 mins around 3.

Could have been worse....next time will be better!

Sweet dreams, dear ones.

You did great!

Dinner update....

Well, DD8 had a softball game tonight that ran until 8 pm....and what's right across the street from the field....McDonalds. When your family hasn't eaten dinner yet and it's 8 at night, guess where you go eat...***sigh***

Oh well, I know it's going to be rough this weekend anyways between BBQ's and drinks with friends....

One day, one meal at a time.

Fast food is just so easy sometimes...and cheap. I wish healthy food was as cheap as the bad stuff.

Glad to see everyone trying so hard to be good. I on the other hand had a terrible day, so much so I awoke about an hour ago with a bad case of gas.

Good thing is I feel so lousy right now I will stick to plan tomorrow and not over eat.......I hope. I just had one of those hungry days and no will power.

One day at a time. Don't let one day get you down. :)

Even at MickeyD's there are "better" choices to be made! Chicken or fish instead of burgers, no topping other than lettuce or tomato...or if buying from the dollar menu....get the burger plain and only eat half the bun. Yep, lots of ways to cut back...and every little cut back is a win! You will do great!!!:cool1:

Yep one day, one meal at a time ..... or in my case one more chocolate chip cookie! Would someone please get them out of my house!?!?!?

I think those cookies will be gone from your house in no time.;) The thing is...will new ones find their way in... just sayin'. How about some dark chocolate covered almonds instead?? :thumbsup2

 Hope you have some GasX in the house...if not, definitely get some. Today is a new day...it is the small choices that will get us feeling better and then we can make bigger choices too. Try not to worry about the big ones for now? With the exception of BIG hugs!:goodvibes Hope you'll be feeling better very soon.:goodvibes

Good Morning, RC family!

Breakfast for me: 2 oz OJ mixed with Mandarin Spritzer (no sugar or sodium), small bowl of watermelon and the egg and Canadian bacon from MD's English Muffin. Turns out, those are actually not so bad - but I don't relaly like it...I figure the egg and Canadian bacon supplied protein.

Now to get on the elliptical today!!!

Have a great day!! We CAN do this!! :grouphug:

Breakfast for me: Fiber One brownie and a hard boiled egg with a bottle of water.

I already know lunch will be grilled lemon pepper chicken from Trader Joe's and some watermelon and grapes.

Yesterday I fell about 700 calories short of my target. Isn't it funny how when you aren't counting it's so easy to just eat, but when you are counting it's hard to get the right amount?

Thanks for this thread, Disneydreamin. It's got me back to stopping and thinking about my food choices, rather than just grabbing something.
And now, I'm off to have some oatmeal. :thumbsup2

So you are always short on your calorie count and the rest of us are always over! Something is wrong here! :cool1:

So far I have stayed away from the chocolate chip cookies .... but never fear the day is not over yet .... in fact it isn't even lunch time here! :rotfl2:

Remember what Dolly Parton says about her 50 lb weight loss (imho she is far too thin now...but my vote doesn't count.:rotfl:)...anyway, she said it was all about portion size and on the weekends she eats whatever she wants...fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, dessert.... Heck, she lost 50 lbs doing this..and she did not work out like crazy either!

Happy Saturday!!! I am still going to try to be careful because I have so many challenges during the week.

Oh, but I did NOT eat the extra large choc chip cookie that came with Sophia's lunch on Thursday...not even one bite! (I only like cho chip cookies without the chips, so it wasn't that difficult not to sneak a bite ot two.:rotfl:)

Happy Happy!!!!:cool1:

I resisted having a late night snack last evening, sure I will make up for it today as I am feeling hungry this morning. I can pass on cookies and pastries it is chips I have to keep out of the house or I lose all willpower.

I use sugar free French vanilla or hazelnut coffee creamer and that satisfies my sweet tooth.

Fresh fruit is also good.

I like the Dolly Pardon plan but it is so darn hard to push away from the table

Have a good day Everyone

Sad to report that I did find the cookie .... I just keep saying moderation, moderation! :cool1:

Off So Cal for the week ... hoping I'll do lots of walking!

Hello my friends :) today was my weigh in day at WW.....down 1.4 lbs...203.8 is the new total :p better than I thought....I was sure I just maintained, so it was nice to see a loss, even if it was a small loss!
I am finding it harder to lose just by making smarter food choices .... My weight is sort of plateud and settled....I have a feeling I will have to kick up the exercise to get it dropping easier.

I made beer can chicken on my new grill tonight...,turned out amazing! I love summer and BBQing....with a nice salad it is way easier to eat lighter during the summer :) I am becoming very conscious of hoe much food I SHOULD be eating and am already realizing WDW DDP has WAAYYY too much food than I need ! I am worried if I eat it, I'll come back 10lbs heavier! :scared1: I am trying to think about how to minimize that damage

Congrats Marie!

I have no idea what my total was yesterday. I had done really well all day but we went to Golden Corral last night and let's just say I at least met my minimum for the day, and most likely went over it. Today will be better!

Marie Congrates on the weight loss ! I have never gained weight while at Disney and eating while there is what I do best. :rotfl2:

Hi Dani  I went over again yesterday too :(

Hi everyone! Hope you don't mind me joining in! Thought I'd share my weight loss journey so far with you all :) Last May, I graduated college only to realize that I had lost control of all eating habit while at school, I had gained 30lbs :scared1: Needless to say this was about all I needed to change my ways. That July, I joined Weight Watchers in order to create a healthier lifestyle for myself. As of today I am down 50 lbs!!! I have a lot more to lose, and I'm hoping to be down another 70lbs by August 2013...right now I have a cruise reserved for the occasion (a little motivation can only help, right!)

So here are my helpful little hints for everyone just beginning their journey! Watch exactly what you are eating and eat smaller portions. Add in all the daily recommended fruits and veggies, and try to fill up on those first! Good luck!!!

Hello and welcome fellow New Hampshirite!!!! :yay:

That's a really great weight loss! You should be proud!

I agree with Marie that in the summertime it is sooooo much easier to eat healthier with the grill fired up and a salad or veggie side. That's what we have done all weekend. And just being out and playing with the kiddos is great too! Not to mention my 45 minute cardio workout today along with my ab and arm workout....DH created a program for me...have I mentioned that he is also the fitness monitor on his base...:headache:

While I hated every minute of my workout, especially with DH shouting his "support" I felt great afterwards. :goodvibes

I feel as though everyone has forgotten about this thread...

Anyway, I did a 1/2 hour cardio burn, arm workout and ab workout today.

For breakfast, I had oatmeal with walnuts and cranberries
For lunch, I had a low fat pastrami sandwich with mustard and red onion
For dinner, I had two small slices of frozen pizza (stopped when I felt full).

My dinner tonight wasn't stellar but I ate really well the rest of the day. Tomorrow I go back home but I'd like to go for a long walk before we head home. I haven't been as active as I'd like down here. I think I needed more rest than I had realized. I've been like a slug!

There's always tomorrow. :goodvibes

So, for today, I had half a bagel with cream cheese, only because it was yucky and I didn't want to finish it (not showing restraint or anything :) )

Then for lunch, I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad....so yummy!!!

And then I had a cupcake from my favorite cupcake place....BUT, it has been weeks since I have been there, so I really needed it!!

Dinner??? Haven't had it yet....DH is working late so this could be dicey...and I'm super hungry...
