It depends what you want to do.
For sightseeing, Rome or Venice, for shopping, Milan(also good if you want to see operas, La Scalla, an AMAZING opera house is there, I go all the time), Sicily is nice too. But really, you'll love anywhere you go, as long as you stay away from the gypsies.
