Interesting. That article was interesting. Now i'm watching the 2 cartoons mentioned to have a direct influence on Epic Mickey. One was Thru the Mirror (which I watched, and I can see what the reference was), and the other is Clock Cleaners (which i'm about to watch)

In Thru the Mirror, Mickey fights with the King of Hearts (I think. It's a card anyway) and knocks him into a pot of ink. Later, Mickey fights a hoard of cards attacking him by shooting ink from a pen. Seem familiar?
