Putt-Putt Enters the Race
Putt-Putt has to find a number of important objects before he qualifies for the Cartown 500 race: high powered, high octane gasoline, 4 racing tires, a safety helmet for Pep, and a flag with a specific number on it. When all of the objectives are completed, Putt-Putt is allowed to enter the race. The player is then allowed to race as Putt-Putt at the end of this game, the first time in the series where the Putt-Putt can be directly "driven." This is the first game to have Putt-Putt's voice done by Nancy Cartwright.

[edit] Putt-Putt Joins the Circus
"Putt-Putt Joins the Circus" is the sixth Putt-Putt adventure from Humongous Entertainment. In this game, Putt-Putt (voiced by Nancy Cartwright) and his dog Pep go to see BJ Sweeney's Big Top Circus in Apple Valley. They hopped on Roll-Along Cassidy, a circus train. When they reached Apple Valley[disambiguation needed], everything was in chaos The circus' five main acts, Honko the Clown, The Flying Porkowskis: Herb, Pearl and Hammy, Phillipe the Flea, Reginald Cornelius Andronocles III the Lion, along with two tiger sisters, Terri and Marie, and Katie Cannonball; and all the minor acts, Marvin the Marvellous, Eunice the Unicycle, Francine the Hippo High Diver, Ivan the Semi-Strong Van, Sebastian the Juggling Seal, and Belobrodnik the Ballet Dancing Bear, are having serious problems. Putt-Putt and Pep also meet new friends like Lester the Flea Janitor, Bart the Peanut Cart, Hank the Security Car, and Bette Bandwagon, along with Baby Jambo and Mama Mombassa (two elephants from Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo). Putt-Putt must help all his new circus friends, so they will practice and finally perform under the big top in the opening night. It becomes a 'Great Success'

Putt-Putt: Pep's Birthday Surprise
It's Pep's birthday tomorrow and Putt-Putt wants to throw a surprise party for it. He just needs to get everything he needs before the party tomorrow morning. In this game, Putt-Putt is voiced by Michelle Thorson.

Fatty Bear is a fictional teddy bear from game developer Humongous. Fatty Bear starred in a children's adventure game, (Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise), as well as appearing in a solo activity pack (Funpack) and an activity game alongside another Humongous character named Putt-Putt. Like other Humongous games, his starring game is intended to teach problem solving. Fatty Bear wears red overalls and comes to life when everyone else is asleep.

In his adventure game, Fatty Bear's owner – Kayla – has a birthday in the morning. With the player's help, Fatty Bear needs to get everything ready for the big day (activities include wrapping the gift, baking the cake, etc.).

Narattor:
Once upon a time, in a faraway land,
A young Prince lived in a shining castle.
Although he had everything his heart desired,
The Prince was spoiled, selfish, and unkind.

But then, one winter's night,
An old beggar woman came to the castle
And offered him a single Rose
In return for shelter from the bitter cold.
Repulsed by her haggard appearance,
The Prince sneered at the gift,
And turned the old woman away.

But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances,
For Beauty is found within.

And when he dismissed her again,
The old woman's ugliness melted away
To reveal a beautiful Enchantress.

The Prince tried to apologize, but it was too late,
For she had seen that there was no love in his heart.
And as punishment,
She transformed him into a hideous beast,
And placed a powerful spell on the castle,
And all who lived there.

Ashamed of his monstrous form,
The beast concealed himself inside his castle,
With a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world.

The Rose she had offered,
Was truly an enchanted rose,
Which would bloom for many years.
If he could learn to love another,
And earn her love in return
By the time the last petal fell,
Then the spell would be broken.
If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast
For all time.

As the years passed,
He fell into despair, and lost all hope,
For who could ever learn to love...a Beast?

Software titles
Though other characters from Humongous (such as Putt-Putt and Freddi Fish) continued to release on a fairly regular timescale, and new characters were introduced (e.g., Spy Fox), the Fatty Bear series was not continued after the first adventure.

Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise (DOS, 3DO, (Macintosh) (1992, updated in 1993) (Win95/98/Me) (2001) (remade)The scenario behind this game is that Kayla's birthday is coming up, the next day. They have not prepared for it, so Fatty Bear wakes up and, with the help of his friends, organizes a birthday surprise party. Unfortunately, it is not as easy as Fatty Bear thought - he had planned on only making a birthday cake, but in the kitchen was a mysterious wrapped package. When he curiously inspects it, a small brown puppy pops out of it and promptly runs away, tearing the ribbon on her box. Fatty Bear brings the ruined ribbon with him for no apparent reason until you find a better ribbon for the box. There is a bone in the refrigerator that you can use to lure the puppy where you want, but if you get the puppy in the box and don't have the ribbon, she will run away again. The puppy performs little acts of mischief such as stealing the chocolate chips for the birthday cake, running off with letters for the "Happy Birthday" sign, digging in the garden and getting all dirty, and popping balloons you blow up to decorate the room. Oddly enough, doors in Kayla's house automatically open for the puppy as well as Fatty Bear and several other objects dance around or do other things. Perhaps the highlight of the game is making and decorating the birthday cake for Kayla.
Fatty Bear's FunPack (DOS, (Macintosh) (1993)
In this single-player product, you play against Fatty Bear 3 board games (Reversi, Lines & Boxes, Tangrams) or the card game Go Fish, most with several difficulty levels. There's also an electronic coloring book with over 30 pages - interesting variation here is that players can mix their own colors and shades, which seemed to work pretty well.

Putt-Putt & Fatty Bear's Activity Pack (DOS, (Macintosh) (1993) (Win95/98/Me) (1995) (remade)
This is a re-packing of two other titles: Fatty Bear's Funpack and Putt-Putt's Activity Pack, with a few updates and 5 new games with Putt-Putt.

These games are supported by ScummVM and can be played on additional platforms to those for which they were released.

The Junior Field Trips series is a collection of point-and-click children's computer games released by Humongous Entertainment in conjunction with Random House. These games (in general) offered virtual tours of particular locations related to their theme, and included a game suite with virtual coloring pages, a scavenger hunt, and various other games depending upon the title.

The series was hosted by "Buzzy the Knowledge Bug," (voiced by Jim Cissell) a blue anthropomorphic insect who provides feedback on the locations when called upon and provided narration for each of the games. Two of the series' three titles were written by the noted programmer Deborah Todd.

The Big Thinkers series from Humongous Entertainment was a line of educational games revolving around the characters Ben and Becky Brightly released in 1997.

Only two games were released, for the kindergarten and first grade age ranges; however, a second grade game was to have been released in the possible success of the first two. While this has not been confirmed, it is not believed that the Second Grade Big Thinkers game was ever released, thus making the second grade game vaporware.

Freddi Fish is an award winning series of children's software from Humongous Entertainment.

Freddi Fish is an anthropomorphic, yellow fish who takes on detective investigations throughout the series of games. She has her own pal, the green-colored Luther, who is her best friend and goes with her on all her adventures.[1] The voices of Freddi Fish and Luther were performed by Annette Toutonghi and Mike McAuliffe at Bad Animals studio in Seattle, WA. While Freddi Fish was always designed as a girl, there was one mistake in Freddi Fish 1 where his grandmother referred to both he and Luther as 'boys' (though this is probably just a mistake made by the character). However in a later series, Freddi Fish said that she is a girl when someone mistook him for a boy. she was also referred to as a "frank lady" on the old Club Humongous Online website. [2]

DONNA
I was cheated by you
And I think you know when.
So I made up my mind, it must come to an end
Look at me now, will I ever learn?
I don't know how but I suddenly lose control
There's a fire within my soul
Just one look and I can hear a bell ring
One more look and I forget everything

Mamma mia, here I go again
My my, how can I resist you?
Mamma mia, does it show again
My My, just how much I've missed you?
Yes, I've been broken-hearted
Blue since the day we parted
Why, why did I ever let you go?
Mamma mia, now I really know
My my, I should not have let you go

Will I ever learn
I don't know how
But I suddenly loose control
There's a fire within my soul.

Adventure Games
When released, these games were categorized as Junior Adventures intended to teach problem solving to ages 3 to 8 with the help of Freddi Fish.

[edit] Game play
Characters move from one screen to the other by clicking when the cursor turns into a chunky arrow. When the cursor is just a small cursor outline then there is nothing click able, but when the small cursor outline fills in, you can click the mouse and something will happen. As with all Humongous Entertainment games, clicking on the environment prompts an animation which is sometimes funny but rather useless to the plot, usually with tiny fish. However, when you click on a person or certain objects, something will happen like the person talking or Freddi Fish picking up the object. Collected objects appear on the bottom of the screen in their own individual bubbles. Freddi Fish puts objects away by sweeping them behind her back, often resulting in hilarious scenes when putting away large objects. Overall, Freddi Fish Junior Adventures are mainly about helping to solve other creatures' problems by trading and using objects which is tied in to a constantly-progressing storyline.

In all the Freddi Fish games except number 2 (Haunted Schoolhouse), the game has some area that is only accessible when you accomplish your "initial" objective- the objective you are given near the start of the game. Once you unlock that area, often any leftover stuff is taken away and you have to solve one last challenge. In the first game (Kelp Seeds), the last discovered bottle leads you to the sunken ship, where you have to find a way to get into the room with the treasure. In the third game, you have to rescue Luther from a trap he accidentally activated and in the fourth game you have to escape the Hogfish rustlers' prison cell. In the fifth game your final mission is to find Marty, but before you can do this the mission changes to opening his safe.

The third and fourth games end with a challenge to find out who was the thief. In the third game they give you one or two clues that point to the personality of one person; in the fourth game you have to figure it out based on a clue in the Hogfishes' room which points to an object the person had been using.

Games
Freddi Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds (Windows, Macintosh) (1994).
In this game, Grandma Grouper's treasure chest of kelp seeds are stolen, and Freddi and Luther go off in search of the thieves, who turn out to be two sharks (One is called Spongehead but the other is never called anything but Boss). Thankfully Spongehead has a bad memory so he left a trail of notes in bottles leading to the chest. This game, as well as its subsequent titles, won several awards upon release. It is now a Wii game, too, known as Freddi Fish in Kelp Seed Mystery.[1].
Freddi Fish and the Case of the Haunted Schoolhouse (Windows, Macintosh) (1996).
When Freddi and Luther are at school one morning, a ghost appears and tries to steal Luther's action figure toy. Following the ghost to the basement of the school, they discover that the ghost is just someone wearing a ghost costume. They then plan a trap to catch the sharks, but they are missing some objects needed for the trap.
Freddi Fish and the Case of the Stolen Conch Shell (Windows, Macintosh) (1998).
The Conch shell which is blown to signal the beginning of the Founder's Day Festival has been stolen, and Luther's Uncle Blenny is blamed because he is the 'Grand Exalted Keeper of the Conch.' Freddi and Luther search for the real thief to clear Uncle Blenny's name and prove that he did not steal the conch. They search and investigate the suspicious characters to find out who really 'done it.'

Freddi Fish and the Case of the Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch (Windows, Macintosh) (1999).
Freddi and Luther (upon arrival at Freddi's Cousin Calico's Ranch) come to find out that her hogfish have been rustled (which in Calico's way means "someone came in and took them without asking"). Luther and Freddi head to the town square, in search of clues to find the rustlers. While in Saltwater Stella's Soda Saloon, they stumble upon their first clue - a note with a secret combination on it. Freddi and Luther figure this must be important, so they must investigate where the combination is. After checking the town square out a bit (or getting some help from Saltwater Stella) they find an abandoned ship with a huge lock on the metal door and a combination required. After entering the combination, they meet up with the first rustler, a slim fish dressed in ' what the well dressed rustlers are wearing. ' He then says since Freddi and Luther aren't wearing these things, they mustn't be rustlers. The rustlers are seriously fashion-cautious, so they won't accept Freddi and Luther until they have the proper attire. Freddi and Luther must search all over in order to find a ten gallon hat, (dyed a different color each game) a belt and a belt buckle, (different letter each game) and either a bandana or a handkerchief accessory. Then, they can get in in order to liberate the hogfish. Finally, Luther and Freddi need to find out who the mysterious Mr. Big is. (Mr. Big could be anyone of the townsfolk who had the idea of hog-napping) In the end, the rustlers get to get their dream job - hogfish ranching. (they are now helping out at Cousin Calico's Ranch) During the credits, Freddi Fish and Luther sing "Home On The Range."

Freddi Fish and the Case of the Creature of Coral Cove (Windows, Macintosh) (2001).
Freddi and Luther (on their way to Coral Cove Park) run into a large mob of sea creatures and the park's developer Marty Sardini, who are both angry yet terrified of this sea monster supposedly terrorizing the park. Freddi and Luther decide to investigate why this sea monster is scaring the citizens. Firstly, they get into Coral Cove Park (after getting a permission slip signed by the Mayor) and enter to find a chunk of green sea cheese with a large bite taken out of it. Freddi and Luther continue to examine it and it becomes their first clue to locate the sea monster's whereabouts. After they get into the sea monster's cave and finding his to-do list, they discover he is lurking in the deepest crevice of the ocean. Freddi and Luther then come to realize that the sea monster named Xamfear Duncan Dogberry Valentine was driven out of Coral Cove Park by a certain greedy developer and was scaring the townspeople because they took his home. Luther figures this must mean Marty. Just as Xamfear is about to show Freddi and Luther his deed for proof, Marty and everyone in town arrives. Marty states that 'there is no such deed.' Suddenly, Xamfear (after checking the place he had the deed, under a piece of ground) comes to discover the deed has been stolen. Freddi and Luther find that Marty is missing as well. Together, Freddi and Luther slip into Marty's base and after dodging traps, find the hidden deed Marty has stolen. Marty catches them at his place and calls security right when the Mayor (after getting his picture taken) shows up to arrest Marty for theft. All's well it ends well with Xamfear Duncan Dogberry Valentine opening up the Park for everyone to play in, while Marty doing the dirty work. Currently Freddi and Luther's last adventure.

[edit] Arcade Games
These games are categorized as Junior Arcades for ages 3 to 8.

Freddi Fish and Luther's Maze Madness (Windows, Macintosh) (1996)
Freddi Fish and Luther's Water Worries (Windows, Macintosh) (1996)
While originally released for Windows and Macintosh, these games can now also be run with the ScummVM player on more platforms such as handhelds and consoles.

[edit] Other Games
In addition, an edutainment game Freddi Fish And Friends: ABC Under The Sea was released on 2008 in Europe and on 2010 in North America. It was developed by 1st Playable Productions and published by Atari for the Nintendo DS. She was mentioned in Backyard Football 1999 by commentator Chuck Downfield. Also, she can be seen in Backyard Baseball 2005 when the player picks the "Aqua Dome" as a field.

Spy Fox is a series of software for five to ten year old children from Humongous Entertainment starring a fictional anthropomorphic fox of the same name. The characters live in a world of anthropomorphic animals who live like humans. There are also several jokes in the games such as Professor Quack eating a certain blueprint which shows how a gadget works (see below) and Monkey Penny's karate belt, which appears on the packaging boxes but is not shown in actual game play (although the belt is sometimes shown in animations that play during credits). Many of the game's names and plot elements are spoofs from the James Bond and Get Smart series. Many random puns are also thrown into the game, making it whimsical and funny.

Spy Fox (voiced by Bob Zenk in Dry Cereal and Cheese Chase and Mike Madeoy in the last three games) works for a spy agency called SPY Corps. His cohorts include Monkey Penny (his secretarial assistant), Professor Quack (creator of the SPY Corps gadgets), the SPY Corps Chief, and the four-armed, four-sleeved 'tracking bug', Walter Wireless. There is also a running gag wherein Professor Quack eats a blueprint after telling Spy Fox how a SPY gadget works.

There are currently three adventure games in the series:

"Spy Fox in: Dry Cereal" (1997): Spy Fox must save the dairy world from the evil William The Kid.
"Spy Fox 2: Some Assembly Required" (1999): Spy Fox must turn off Napoleon LeRoach's evil dogbot.
"Spy Fox 3: Operation Ozone" (2001): Spy Fox must save the ozone layer from being depleted by Poodles Galore.
Two arcade games also exist featuring Spy Fox:

"Spy Fox in: Cheese Chase" (1998)
"Spy Fox in: Hold the Mustard" (1999)
The Spy Fox games each contain several different game paths randomly determined when the player starts a new game. Each path has its own challenges, which some players find more challenging than others. The main protagonist of the games, Spy Fox, uses a variety of gadgets to complete his missions. Each game has a bonus ending wherein the player can catch the villain. The bonus ending is only accessible if the player clicks an option at the right moment.

When running with ScummVM, these games can be played not only on Windows or Mac but also on other platforms such as Linux, Unix, and game consoles. A version of Dry Cereal which uses ScummVM was released in 2008 for Nintendo's Wii console.

Character
This section requires expansion.

The young titular character himself, Pajama Sam, is shown having light turquoise hair and skin and wearing a pair of blue footed pajamas and a red cape. Many of Sam's adventures involve him emulating his hero, the comic book superhero Pajama-Man, and seeking to physically conquer his fears and dislikes (e.g. darkness, thunder and lightning, healthy foods) and altruistically help others. Sam is young and a little naive, and obviously has an active imagination. Sam befriends many inanimate objects throughout his adventures, such as a mining cart (No Need to Hide when It's Dark Outside), a wooden boat (NNHIDO), and a piece of broccoli (You Are What You Eat from Your Head to Your Feet). These companions assist him in the games.

Main Adventure Games
[edit] Summary of All Games
All games consist of three parts: the tutorial, the actual game, including the side objective, and the credits. The world changes every time a new game is started (even though the main and side objectives stay the same), so it is impossible to explain the complex storyline. The games consist of Pajama Sam finding objects in the world and using them somewhere else. A cut scene is usually played if the right item is used. You may save your progress at any time if you have to stop.
