awesome!!! why do you have 2 accounts? its trippy

Lol, I knew you'd ask.. Well, I was getting to my goal of posts (got to it on the 8th of May, a few days ago on my 1 Year Anniversary of being on the DIS). I didn't want to get to it really quick.. and someone gave me the idea to use another account or something. So I started using my "old" account (this one), lol. Now that I got to my goal a few days ago, I'm gonna get back onto my other account tomorrow-ish. I've been enjoying my goal I reached and haven't gotten back on it to post and such, except to add people and send PM's - stuff like that. :) I do like this account I'm on now, though, lol.

I hate when book descriptions are misleading.

I started to read a book called The Call of the Wild. The description is:

"Buck was raised happy and docile in a sunny old house in the Santa Clara Valley. He roamed free over Judge Miller's acres, swimming and hunting with his master's children a faithful and constant companion. But then men discovered gold in Klondyke, Alaska - and needed dogs to pull the sleds towards their hidden prize. An employee of Judge Miller's, Manuel, chooses greed over loyalty and sells young Buck to the sled men.

Snatched from his pampered existence, Buck must relearn the rules - and recover his most primitive, wild nature in order to survive to become leader of the pack. Over the frozen plains of Alaska, the hardy dogs pound the snow to help their masters search for gold. Buck's paws grow hard and his muscles sinewy. He befriends wolves and learns to kill or be killed, to fight or be beaten. For the song of the pack, once remembered, will never be forgotten..."

I read that thinking "Oh, it sounds like a comedy. Pampered dog taken from his carefree life and made to work, and discover what it's like to be a wild dog." so I start reading, and at the beginning, he's strangled to unconciousness, thrown in a box, tormented and beaten multiple times with a club...
