The Pursuit of Disney Magic (June 7-14, 2008) ~ UPDATED 9/30 pg. 191

Hi Jackie!!! Hope you and your family are enjoying the weekend.

If my calculations are correct, today is update day :cool1:

Can't wait popcorn::

Sorry missed several chapters!

I was laughing so much about the phrase pulling a TSM :rotfl: Glad he finally used his gun second time around!

Can't wait to see your drawings, my girls love doing that, hope Chelsea will one day too!

Happy belated Birthday to Chelsea, my DD was 12 on the 16th, where has the time gone!

I was glad that Connor actually played TSM the second time around.

Hopefully, Chelsea will give the drawing another try one day.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Chelsea -- the time definitely has flown, hasn't it?

I love the ABC Commissary! Do you ever eat there?

That has been another one of our stand-bys. We ate breakfast there on this trip.

Oh, I will definitely raise a glass to your efforts, my friend. And to Connor's birthday. Does anyone think my DH will think I'm crazy if I insist on making a photo op out of this?:lmao:

Surely after all the headless shots, he isn't surprised by anything anymore, is he? :rotfl:

I think he would enjoy it. Did they have lots of different designs?

Tons! I was overwhelmed at all the choices.

We are enjoying the weekend, except that we should be at the pool right now and we aren't which makes me ultra-cranky.

Today is update day! ;)

I totally took pictures on the cruise with the DIS and LapuLapuettes in mind. I suggest not telling DH. Just act really silly and tell him you want a picture. :lmao:

I agree! :thumbsup2

Friday, June 13th -- do you think I mentioned to Charles that it was Friday the 13th? Nuh-uh. Not this chickie! Not after the revelations of the day before! :sad2:

With the prospect of lunch at Marrakesh and dinner at Teppan Edo, we opted for a light breakfast. Chelsea and I went down to the food court and brought back cinnamon rolls and cheese danishes for all of us. The cinnamon rolls (I can't speak for the danishes) were delicious and huge! A great breakfast using just snack credits!

Charles wanted to time our arrival with the opening of World Showcase so we had a leisurely morning. Chelsea and I decided we wanted to take a morning stroll around Port Orleans French Quarter, and if we were feeling adventurous, stroll towards Riverside. The boys opted for being lazy and watching old Disney cartoons.

We did end up feeling like going farther afield, so here are some photos of our walk along the river.

POFQ has such a wonderfully peaceful feel to it -- just perfect for morning strolls.

Such a cute picture. I love her tank top.

All those pictures really make me want to stay at POFQ. It was in the running for this trip. :goodvibes

I've never been super in love with PO, just isn't my thing, but wow, your pics are gorgeous! Thanks!

We stayed at PORiverside in June 2006, and really loved the resort. I love the magnolia blossom trees!!!

Ahhh....POFQ....:cloud9:

Your pictures make me wish I was there.

Yah for the leisurely breakfast and stroll!

Yah for the boys watching cartoons!

I sense some flexibility here, Jackie!;)

Great update!!!!

I love reading about the resorts from different perspectives. The photos of POFQ are amazing. It looks so peaceful and relaxing. And the buildings are beautiful. And how great that each of your children got some alone time with either you or Charles.

I can't wait to hear your reviews of Marrakesh and Teppan Edo.

I just loved POFQ in March and your pics are why. It is truly a relaxing, peaceful and charming resort. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Allyson :)

What a great report! I just read the whole thing! Can't wait for the next installment. :)

I love those pics. I need to find a reason to get over there and explore the PO Resorts. We got married 10 years ago in New Orleans and it's so nostalgic to us!
