Hey everybody!!

I do have a couple of those travel organizers left that Jackie showed a picture of--they are Vera Bradley organizers, and they really are cute AND SO PERFECT for us super over-organized Disney "weirdos" I have mine all ready to go--minus the a few ID cards--but I can't wait to use it!!!

Jackie--I am so glad you had time this weekend to devote to the important stuff--DISNEY PLANNING!!! It looks like you and I had the same things on our minds on Sunday!!! ;o) I love the beach bag!!! What a thoughtful gift!!! The shirts and passports are soooooooooo cute!!! I would make Megan a passport this year, but I think she might still be a little too little--next trip for sure! The science shirt was AWESOME!! What a cute idea! Talk soon! Jen

You are soo organized(must be those of you that are teachers have something the rest of us don't)

Having been a high school English teacher prior to having Megan, I really truly believe it is our profession that causes us to become SUCH OCD planners!!! We are taught and retaught how to create lesson plans, organize and customize our classroom space, structure our classroom time, so when it comes to a Disney vacation, we go right back into that mode---create ADRs, organize and customize our Disney-living space, and structure our park time to maximize enjoyment. We simply CAN'T help it! ;) :goodvibes

Charles has to go to the doctor today, so I plan on filling in my Passporter while waiting with him. He said something to me the other day about me and Disney (I wish I could remember what it was), and I said, "Stop! You are making me sound like a weirdo!" His response? "Are you planning on taking pictures of the food while we are there?" Touche! :lmao:

You are going to take food pictures, right? :hyper:

I think we should just face it...we're all weirdos. But we're Disney weirdos. And that's the best kind of weirdo to be!

I couldn't AGREE with you more!!! Trust me, there are ALOT of weirdos out there, but Disney weirdos are the only kind I want to hang out with!!! How harmful could we be? I feel pity for those who JUST DON'T GET IT!!! What a happy world we would live in if we were all "Disney Weirdos!"

Who you calling a weirdo????

Love, LOVE, LOVE this picture!!! You sum it all up!! Who here doesn't have a smile so big and powerful that it simply CAN'T be wiped off our faces while at the Mouse's House? Thanks for sharing that!! Made my day!

Oooh Plan-errific! As I sit at my desk eating- guess what? Indiana Jones M&M's. I'm so easily amused by the designs on them! Whoo hoo! All of your new stuff is very... plan-tastic? To use a proper Disney adjective. Now that we're less than 20 days out I feel a very compulsive need to start packing!

The travel organizer is adorable- don't you just love some of Vera Bradley's stuff?

No shame of being a disney freak. But I prefer Disney Devotee. There's a big difference, you know :P

Great stuff Jackie! What kind of paper did you print the Epcot passports on? I might make one for DS. Our DH's would get along great....mine has no idea that I too plan to take food porn pictures!

Hey Winkers....should we let MegansMom in on why you look so happy in that picture?

Oh and just so you all know...I have a belly ache right now from Indy M&M's  too much of a good thing I guess!

Oooh you got a lot done! Nice! Love the Passport, that is really cute! It turned out well! And your shirts are cute too!

Did you make cute tip envelopes? There was a thread on the Creative Board with some really cute envelopes to print for all the resorts as well as restaurants. We made a bunch last time.

I was on drugs.........prescription, but drugs.............you could read my first trip report to learn why!;)

Don't worry, already started reading--got to find out why now!!! I will need some time to catch up though!!! Still love the picture--drugs or no drugs!! You could be a poster child for the WDW!!! ;o)

This is great reading (and great pics!) For the passports, how did you make those? I read about the passports at Epcot, but I just assumed I would get everything there. But I can make one for my DS and he can bring it...will they stamp it? Sorry for the newbie questions...just trying to clarify!
Thanks and I look forward to reading more!:)

Awesome! I'm so glad you got some planning in...it's getting so close now. I love the Epcot passports for the kids, that is great. I think my DS is still too little, but an excellent idea for when he's older.

This past weekend, they were running Indy marathons and I thought of you. Especially when my DS became absolutely mesmerized by what I feel is the scariest, Temple of Doom. He was very nervous that the lady was going into the red lava. We explained that Indy would save her...and he did! Ah, it was bliss.:cloud9:

My mother wouldn't let me go see Temple of Doom when it first came out -- my own children still haven't seen it. I just hate the idea of the whole child sacrifice thing. :scared:

It never does. Your family is in my prayers.

Hysterical! Touche indeed!

:flower3:

Thank you!

Thank you!

Chelsea is especially excited about the passports.

I opted for the Disney Dollars since it is easier for the kids to keep a handle on how much they have left.

Wow! You really got alot done!

Thank you! :goodvibes

It is the best kind of weirdo ;).

I thought the beach bag was one of the best gifts I have received -- she really knew what I would like!

I never thought of it like that, but I would definitely have to agree with you! I think that is why I even schedule the "relaxing/pool time" because we are taught to overplan and never have any downtime (since that's when the behavior problems are likely to occur). :lmao:

You are going to take food pictures, right? :hyper:

But, of course! :rotfl:

Ahhh, wouldn't that be wonderful!

I won't even tell you how many bags I have been through. I mean, how many bags the family has been through. :lmao:

Disney Devotee does sound so much more elegant.

Great stuff Jackie! What kind of paper did you print the Epcot passports on? I might make one for DS. Our DH's would get along great....mine has no idea that I too plan to take food porn pictures!

Oh and just so you all know...I have a belly ache right now from Indy M&M's  too much of a good thing I guess!

I printed the passports on regular paper and mounted them on 5x7 colored cardstock. Then, I laminated the front and back covers.

Yes, too much of a good thing is adding pounds to me even as we speak. ;)

Oooh you got a lot done! Nice! Love the Passport, that is really cute! It turned out well! And your shirts are cute too!

Thanks!

I did make tip envelopes! There is no stopping my mania in regards to WDW planning.

Thank you! Ask away! I love being able to help!

When Chelsea was nine months old, we bought the Epcot passport available at WS -- I know, it was really for me ;) . They still have them, and I saw similar Animal Kingdom ones at AK.

The CMs will stamp them and sign them even if you bring your own.

Today marks the official start of the Teen Days!!! 19 days from today...well, you know! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Today has been one of those crazy days. To start with the worst first, if you have been reading along you know I have a phobia about tornadoes. Well, today, afterschool, I came home, did all the evening chores, and it was a little early for dinner, so I decided to take a quick nap. Chelsea was getting her nails done, and Charles and Connor were on the computers playing some game. The nap turned out to be a little longer than planned since I didn't wake up until 6:00 because the tornado sirens were going off! :scared1: My boys? Still playing on the computers and not batting an eye. :sad2: This is why they keep me around, so I can state the obvious like, "You know the sirens are going off!!!!!" Anyway, the storm skirted us -- I think the counties east of us were hit worse.

Bad news out of the way, I will share some good news.

Connor's awards day was today, and my little man received the trophy for most Reading Counts points and a certificate for excellence in computers! :cheer2: Clearly, he has received the better attributes from both DH and me!

Charles checked Connor out of school after the awards and took him to lunch at Burger King -- where I might add they have Indy on the drink cups -- and to Walmart for a "gift." When I got home, I saw that Connor had picked out the Indy and Cairo swordman action figures. I should take pics of them, shouldn't I? ;)

In other Indy news (because what would a CP post be without it), my 8th graders and I watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in class today. My reasoning: we just finished a huge King Arthur unit and there's that whole Holy Grail connection between the two. Plus, if the kids were watching a movie, I could finish grading finals. HA HA HA! I should have picked a movie I don't like, because there I was right in the middle of them watching it. We had fun drawing comparisions between Indy and me. Here is our list:

We are both teachers (TK pointed that out last week, but I borrowed it).
We both procrastinate grading papers (a quick comment made by Indy's secretary). My students wanted to argue that Indiana doesn't grade papers because he is busy hunting down priceless artifacts. I told them there is a thin line between archaeology and scrapbooking. :lmao:
Indy sneaks out his window; I am always trying to escape out my back door. ;)

That's as far as we got.

Still trying to decide if I want to brave crowds Thursday night or go this weekend to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls (whew, that's a lot to type)!

Happy 19 days! That is a nice milestone!

And we Tivo'd the first 3 Indy movies last a week or so ago. I adore them but my kids had never seen them. We have started watching the first one and they seem to like it. I want them to LOVE it! LOL! I can't wait for this latest one either. My parents are big fans, they are going Thursday to see it. It is DH's birthday on Thursday and as much as I would love to take him that night we have a concert to attend for our oldest dd. Harrison has aged soooooo well hasn't he?

Allyson

Yikes! I'm so glad the tornado missed you! Only the male species could act like nothing is happening with a siren going off!:rotfl:

My ds in 8th grade has watched all 3 Indy movies this year in history!
