The Pursuit of Disney Magic (June 7-14, 2008) ~ UPDATED 9/30 pg. 191

Just an update on me:

I forgot  to pick up Enchanted on the way home last night. DH is receiving an award tonight, so I won't have time today either. My goal is Enchanted by Fri! You'd think I'd step into the age of technology and use Netflix or download movies, but alas, I'm a Blockbuster girl. I'm probably one of the last few holdouts.

I am absolutely loving Midnight in the Garden... I can't wait to compare all of the locations in the book to the real thing! Why haven't I ever read this book before? :confused3 We're down to less than 2 weeks till our Road Trip Extravaganza! :drive:

We love Nexflix, just saying :rolleyes1

I loved Midnight as well. Have you seen the movie? John Cusack and Kevin Spacey were so good. You'll have a great time on your trip and hopefully we'll have a TR within a TR since I've never been to SC. ;)

Hiya again!
Sorry I haven't been on in the past few days- Easter travels and all.

Great update! Sounds like you guys had a fantastic Easter. And thank goodness the bunny came around, eh? ;)

I Love  your new avatar! I am definitely a pink princess girl too! your easter sounded lovely.
You are gonna love Enchanted. Chuck gave it to me for our anniversary and we all saw it in the theaters. I have the soundtrack in my car. And of course, there's my avatar. I guess I'm kind of a fan.....;)

We saw it in theaters and loved, loved, loved it. I am a big fan myself. :lovestruc If only they would have a Giselle meet and greet I would be all set!

I am a Blockbuster kind of girl, also. Congrats on your DH getting an award! What's it for?

I am so glad that you like it! :goodvibes Isn't it amazing that it's non-fiction, but reads like a novel??? I can't wait to hear about your impressions of Savannah!

Sigh -- Kevin Spacey -- one of my most favoritest actors! Worthy of a hopelessly incorrect double superlative!

Welcome back! How was all the traveling and your Easter? Can't wait to see any new designs that you come up with. :)

Thanks! Travels went well, all by car, and Easter was very relaxing around here. I think we're just all happy to have the time off.

And thanks, I'll be working on some hopefully this week if all goes well :thumbsup2

Oh, and P.S- We use netflix and blockbuster. We used to use Blockbuster's online service, but they slowly raise the priced on us..

Do you mind if I dance for a minute? Because I think it is time for the...

75 DAYS 'TIL DISNEY DANCE!

pixiedust: pixiedust: party: pixiedust: pixiedust:

This time in 75 days we will be somewhere at Disney Hollywood Studios -- maybe beginning to think about finding seats for Fantasmic. Do people really grab seats an hour beforehand???

Also in the news at Chez Charleston Princess:

I received my deeply discounted ($4.29 bargain priced on Amazon) copy of The Imagineer's Field Guide to Epcot. It looks to be quite informative. I am looking forward to reading it when I can tear myself away from the DIS.

MIL did something really sweet yesterday -- she bought our family a copy of Hidden Mickeys. Normally, I get the impression that she doesn't really like the fact that we go to WDW as much as we do. Why, you ask? Because it means we don't vacation with the rest of the family. Well, if they would go to Disney, we would. ;) Anyway, it was a pretty big milestone that she went out of her way to buy us the book. The downside? We already own a copy. So, now we have two copies. Do bookstores do exchanges without receipts?

Chelsea came to me today with the suggestion that we should make pillowcases with some of the DISigns we have accumulated. I think that is an awesome idea, so I am adding that to the list of spring break projects. I love having a partner in crime! :thumbsup2

And I am not really going to say anything about the October trip (I have to save it for the next PTR), but if I were to say anything, I would tell you that Charles is really pretty excited and has even weighed in with where he would like to stay and several meal ideas. But I can't tell you anything more about all of that right now...

On the flip side, I am battling some sort of cold/allergy thing that makes me cough and makes my voice all gravelly. I would like to think that it makes me sound like Demi Moore, but I suspect it just makes me sound like an 85-year-old woman who has smoked all her life  . Not quite the image I am going for. Hopefully, all the honey in my tea will help it.

Okay, so that catches us up on Disney news here. Off to play Disney Scene-It with the kids for our 75 day mark. :)

I know that is how I will feel next week when we are on spring break! I really need some time to relax and gear up for the last seven weeks of school!

I am so glad I have a lot going on during the next 75 err...74 days or I would be going crazy. New job, kids finishing school, STC Conference, yikes!

:woohoo: Good up date.. especially because that means I'm 74 days out! :rotfl:

Now, it's 73 for you. :)

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks for the update Demi.....

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
You're welcome...according to the gossip mags, Demi's beauty secret is leeches. Maybe being bled would make me feel better...anything would make me feel better at this point...

:lmao: :lmao:

woohooty for 75 days!

Woohoo for 75 days!! :dancer::dancer::dancer:

Hope you're feeling better soon!

Thanks! :goodvibes

Wow! You do have a lot going on! With the madness of the last nine weeks of school, it should go pretty quickly at our house too. At any rate, I hope so!

Alas, DH's award was not for husband of the year! He received a very official sounding 'Meritorious Service' award for a federal wire tap he was a part of that resulted in the confiscation of 10 kilos of cocaine. :scared1: I have some pics I'm planning on posting probably tomorrow. I am way too lazy for Photobucket tonight. Tomorrow is the last day of the quarter, grades are due, and I've been grading exams ALL night!

Now I really feel foolish...I thought Midnight was fiction!

Unless others object, I will do a mini TR on my PTR for the road trip. It's so nice to be getting close to the end of my countdown calendar! :goodvibes

Oh yes, and your daughter is a GENIUS! Only a truly gifted child would think of creating pillowcases with the iron on transfers. That never even crossed my mind, but I think that's another thing I'll add to the 'to do' list.

Don't feel foolish -- it's an easy mistake because of the style of the book. In the movie version, Lady Chablis plays herself. :rotfl:

I won't object -- I would love to read your TR on your Spring Break Road Trip Extraordinaire.

I was kind of proud of her myself for coming up with that idea :goodvibes . Especially because these days her "giftedness" surfaces in forgetting to get papers signed or claiming she can read while standing on her head.

Ok, so seriously, I MUST read your report. I've been subscribed for days but, perhaps, have just been minorly intimidated by all 22 pages and 6 billion replies. :rotfl:

However, it's on my To Do list today.

Especially since I know now that your sniffly.

And since you've been so kind as to keep up with my report.

I would say Sloth is the "deadly sin of the seven" that I'm most guilty of. But that wouldn't really be fair to Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Envy or Pride.

I promise to catch up and shower you with praise shortly.

Feel better. :flower3:

I put links at the bottom of the first post which might save you some time :).

:goodvibes Your PTR is such an easy read -- I have kept up with it for the purely selfish reason that it is quite enjoyable to do so!

Hey, those seem to be all the characteristics of my Scorpio personality! :rotfl2:

Thanks! At least being sick (with something that part of me suspects is the flu and the other part of me hopes is just a cold) gives me the excuse to spend the day on the DIS boards and sleeping. I hope it ends soon -- tomorrow is the last day before spring break and I can't be sick during vacation time! That isn't allowed in the Teachers' Code of Conduct! ;)

Which I fully intend to use and abuse. LOL

Aw, shucks. Thanks.

My BF's a Scorpio. I'm a Libra. You should see us fight. It should be it's own reality TB show.

Going back to start to read now!
