It makes no sense why they would take it away or change it. They just released merch celebrating it and people like it. A fresh coat of the same purple - done.

That pattern has already been painted over. It’s back to just purple and white for the time being.

My understanding is that they want to enhance the purple wall, not get rid of it. They were going to put some kind of blending pattern at the edges or something, I'm not really sure. I know though that they recognize that it is a popular spot.

I seriously thought i knew everything about Disney after all these visits and years, but this darn purple wall keeps getting mentions. Even with all my photo gear, I never knew this was a "thing" to have a picture taken here.

Having a colored background is a popular thing with younger people and the purple wall grew in popularity because of this. There is also the moss wall in Pandora and the bubble gum wall in Epcot.

Purple wall is at the entrance of Tomorrowland near the Tomorrowland Terrace. Bubble gum wall is at the exit of SSE.
