Day 4.

Up at 7 to get to EPCOT

Test Track wasn’t working so we went to Soarin followed by Nemo and Turtle Talk with that cool dude, Crush.

By then Test Track was working and the queue was huge so we went in the single rider line and were loaded quickly. We love Test Track but the ride was very jerky and stop, start which was disappointing. We rode Soarin again with our fast passes before having lunch at the Seasons counter service (I had chicken and noodles and Kate had a tuna croissant).

We then went to Innoventions where I had a go on the recycling exhibit where I had to push a mini waste truck round whilst Kate went to the house where they have all the latest gadgets (can’t remember what it’s called!).

We then made our way to the monorail and changed at the TTC and got to the Tambu Lounge at the Poly about 12.45 for the DIS meet at 1pm. Gradually people started to turn up and we spent a lovely couple of hours chatting – there were about 12 of us and it was great to exchange experiences and chat about Disney of course. Annoyingly, I forgot to take many photos but others who attended were Hotfudgesundae, Epcots1stfave, Wifey, PaulaSB12,and Califlady - sorry if I have forgotten anyone.

A lovely cocktail - so great I can't remember its name!! I really wanted a Lapu Lapu but they had run out of pineapples!

We went for a rest back at BLT before heading out to our first MNSSHP about 6pm. DH had spent hours lovingly making our tshirts (:lovestruc) even though he wasn't coming with us.

All rides were a walk on and there were loads of people dressed up in fantastic costumes. We took the opportunity to do all the rides in Fantasyland that usually have long queues.

Taken on Dumbo!

It was at this point where it rained for the first and last time this holiday. By the time we got our ponchos out, it had stopped!

We met the other DISers from the meet at 7ish to get a photo pass photographer to take a collective picture but we chose outside the castle to meet (not realising a show was about to start) and it was a bit chaotic - I didn't get the photo but Twilight Terror has posted it on the 20090922 UK Dis Meet thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2185269

Kate, Renee (Califlady) and I wandered off to ride Haunted Mansion and watch the first parade which was excellent. Unfortunately neither Kate or I was feeling great that evening – probably too many early starts with a bit of jet lag thrown in and we sat for about half an hour on the benches between Adventureland and the main hub waiting for Hallowishes to start.

Feeling a little revived after this, we went trick or treating. We found some great places for candy near Toontown and filled up our bags. Sadly we were too tired to stay any longer and we left the park at 10.30 and took the monorail back to BLT before crashing in to bed.

How nice that you got to meet so many fellow DISers on this trip. Nothing like a little Trick or Treating excitement to wear you out.

Hi Sue
Just cought up with your report and I'm lovin' it. Keep um coming.:thumbsup2

Cool shirts :thumbsup2 Glad you had a good time at the halloween party. We found the MK was pretty empty that day too - we went in the am. I wish we could have made it to the meet but we were trying to get everything done and then head back to the Beach Club for a rest!

I am not surprises that the early starts caught up with you. But glad that you were able to refresh yourselves, otherwise this could have been a short report :)

Sounds like another great DISer meet :goodvibes

Just catching up on your trip report. It was lovely to meet you and everyone else at the DIS meet. Looking forward to the next instalment of your report. :surfweb:

Thanks for the complements on the t-shirts!!

If you are going to MNSSHP, I recommend going to Tomorrowland and Alice's Trick or Treat Trail for the best treats, the stuff in Adventureland and Liberty Square were pretty lame. I also recommend going on Haunted Mansion, the cast members are dressed up even more, and have some great extras!!

Boo to You parade was good, but boy it was long!! My legs were aching at the end! Plus Hallowishes was ok, and I loved the Nightmare before Christmas bits, but I prefer normal Wishes!

loving your trip report. I am doing my first mother daughter trip this upcoming dec for a week at the grand floridian..i have to admit the picture of you and your daughter on dumbo got me a little misty eyed. walt disney world is such a wonderful place to be with family :cloud9:
