The Prisoner of Azkaban RP

OOC: lol yeah. I can imagine that conversation: "So what happened to your family?" "My parents were tortured into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange." "....."

OOC: haha, just a little awkward there.

Nora: She was walking down the hallway when she saw Amelia looking a little frazzled. "Hey, you okay?"

Amelia: "Yes, fine, thanks..." She dazed off for a moment, lost in her thoughts. Quickly, however, she observed herself and snapped out of it. "How are you?" She asked, snapping together her open bag.

Nora: "I'm fine, thank you. Are you sure you're okay? You looked a little out of it..."

Amelia: "Yes, I've just been in the library, doing a bit of research. A little over-done, I think, but that's all."

Nora: She looked sympathetic. "You were reading up on the last war, weren't you? Don't be surprised sat my guess, a lot of Hufflepuffs are muggleborns, so when they read up on the war, it affects them, and for some reason they flock to me. At least I might make prefect next year though."

Amelia: She sighed in defeat. "Yeah. Unfortunately, I sometimes let my curiosities get a bit out of hand. I'm surprised it affected me so. My father was nearly killed due to attacks-muggle- but terrible things nonetheless."

Nora: "Yeah, for those of us who had family or were affected ourselves, it hurts...well, let's just say that if Binns had a heart, there would be good reason why we only talk about goblins."

Amelia: "I am sorry."

OOC: I'll post her revised/full history tomorrow, as it's about finished.

Amelia: "Yes," she said quietly. "I don't like meddling, but it took me too long to realize...I find it brave."

Nora: "Thanks Amelia, means a lot. Neville doesn't like to talk about it, which is understandable...but Grandmother is so hard on him sometimes, I don't think he believes he lives up to them, which is trash of course. Father's wand just doesn't work for him, I've tried telling Grandmother but she won't listen...."

OOC: I know I'm more than a little late to the party, but this is the last week of school. I'm going to be on much more, at least every other day so I'm not going forget about this RP! :)

As far as my charries from this RP are concerned, I'm going to keep them.

Reece, as promised, will be the character who stays positive in light of adversity. I might give her some sister drama which will cause her character to, hopefully, branch out. Also, she's really friendly so any character can start building a relationship with her.

Mara is the tricky one. She's not as social as her twin sister. But if she keeps pushing her sister away, that could work into getting Reece out there to know other people.

Sophia isn't much of a talker either, but thankfully, I've intended from the beginning to get her to try to date Shane. I will be on more to establish this, like editing, editing to the very beginning of how this relationship is going to work because all they've had so far is barely two conversations.

Shane has a backstory coming along. I think I'll wait until part 2 or 3 to bring it up. I'd have to think up a reason, or maybe someone could try to help him find out his family history.

Scarletta's plot is coming. I'm getting creative.

Reece: Reece sat down next to her sister. She said, "Hey Mara, I know you're really busy. Just hear me out this one time-"

Mara: Mara was studying for her Herbology class. She said, "No offense, but I would appreciate it if you would leave me alone. I'll talk to you at dinner."

Reece: Reece looked down shyly. She got up.

Mara: "I'll see you later." Mara read again.

Reece: "Can I interest you in a trip to-?"

Mara: "No." she replied. "I'd just like to study for Herbology."

Reece: "But-" Reece frowned. "I guess I'll see you around then."

Mara: Mara went back to studying. She didn't want to hurt Reece's feelings, but this year she was focused on grades.

Reece: Reece walked out of the library. She knew Mara didn't want her to branch out, but Reece wouldn't be able to have anyone if her own sister didn't want to be near her.

Amelia: "That doesn't surprise me, there's a lot more to him than I think we see. Everyone has their strengths, but yes, a new wand would probably help him."

OOC: Hi, Nessie!

OOC: Hello Nessie! Thank you for the update

Amelia: "That doesn't surprise me, there's a lot more to him than I think we see. Everyone has their strengths, but yes, a new wand would probably help him."

OOC: Hi, Nessie!

Nora: "Yeah, I know a lot of his year mates and housemates, actually, a lot of the school sees Neville as the class accident-prone kind of guy. But if they could see the Neville I see...they'd see a much different boy entirely. Maybe I will take him to get a new wand...but it would be going behind Grandmother's back to do so...I just can't convince her."

OOC: Here we go, I shall give this before I must bid thee farewell for a few hours:

Amelia Elise Jones was born on July 2nd, 1979 to a happy couple in Yorkshire, England. Amelia grew up happy, healthy, and, for the most part, lacking much hardship, allowing her to use her inquisitiveness and unique insight to help enlighten and strengthen others. At the age of six, the Jones family moved to Wales, Scotland, where her father, David, was relocated as part of his position as an intelligence officer of the SIS (Secret Intelligence Service, or M16). As she grew, she began to blossom in her own ways. Here she began primary school, where she proved herself to be different, unique, however still well-liked by generally everyone.
There were a few minor incidents during these times in which accidental magic was involved. Two years later, at the age of eight, Amelia was strolling around their village, talking with her natural friendliness to her neighbors. At approximately two PM, Amelia witnessed a murder. Standing in front of the mangled body was an adult, who didn’t look at all insane, but like they knew what they were doing the entire time. Amelia sort of froze up, you could say, or it seemed, anyway. Here the adult spotted her, but Amelia was already deep in thought, concentrating very hard on something. With brown hair and chocolate eyes, she could have been anyone, but to the murderer, she was the key to their escape. It was at this time that Amelia succeeded in her concentrations and the fire alarm went off. Amelia testified in court and was placed under the Witness Protection Program under the name of Amy Louise Craigson, a Scottish girl. They were relocated to France after the murder was settled, then Ireland when she was ten, due to her father’s work. When she received her Hogwarts acceptance letter under the name of Amelia Jones, not only did everything finally make sense in her life, but she felt very composed and tranquil with having her original name back (Hogwarts was safe, after all, as no muggles could get onto the grounds). Amelia was sorted into Ravenclaw and remains happy in her house. She does exceptionally well in school.
In the spring of 1991, just weeks after Christmas, Amelia’s father was gravely injured in a bombing while traveling with classified information that needed to be transferred. The family then moved back to England to be with him. David (now Dale) lost a leg, but there was no other long-term damage: he was lucky. David continued to work as an intelligence officer, now only from London. The family settled in Bibury, a small village that would keep them in the hidden life they had already had and now even more so. As a friendly family, they got to know most of the village quickly, including Brian and Liana Fudge. As far as Amelia’s knowledge goes, the last name of the couple is a coincidence.

Amelia: "Your grandmother sounds very firm in where she stands. Maybe she just misses him. I can't imagine how it would be...to see your father, but not."

Nora: "Neville is not his father. Our father is lying in a hospital bed incapable of anything!"

Nora: "Neville is not his father. Our father is lying in a hospital bed incapable of anything!"

Amelia: "No, no, that's not what I meant," she hurriedly said. "I'm very sorry, perhaps it would be best if we dropped the subject."
