While going into the City is always a fun time, albeit a little stressful, I think they did a decent job of making this special for the kids. The setup was that you go to the Ziegfeld Theatre first for the movie. There were 7 of us altogether and tickets were $30 each. For the "Royal" treatment, tickets would've been $50 which got you a plastic bead necklace (think Mardi Gras type) a reserved seat (which was right next to our unreserved seats) and a lithograph. The movie was very good and very reminiscent of classic Disney i.e., princess, villain, death, etc., It held the kids' attention and they enjoyed it. After the movie, we walked 2 blocks to the Roseland Ballroom where all the princesses were -- each on their own little stage and queue area where you could take pictures. Of course the new princess had a bigger stage and backdrop. Upstairs was an area for other photo ops as well as a session with one of the animators who taught us how to draw one of the characters. Back downstairs was a play area with tire swings, balls, etc. and a Craft area. Oh and there were themed games (for free) that the kids could win stickers at. All in all a very cute experience and I felt worth the money. The kids were exhausted as we went to the 7:00 show so we didn't do every single thing there was, but they were more than satisfied.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
