The Princess is Going Back to Her Kingdom...TWICE!

Shamu? :rotfl: Random. There's a part of the ride where two small dinosaurs are pulling a shirt back and forth between them that's splattered in blood. Just FYI!

Very random and also just recently added to the list since he learned we were going to SeaWorld. :rotfl: Thanks for the heads up about the blood. I'll just have to inform him before time that it's something else. I do remember seeing that in the ride video so I'll have to watch again and think of a good way to explain it. (They're fighting over who gets to wear the shirt tonight! :rotfl2:)

Ahh, I know what you mean-- I hate when things are up in the air! Honestly, there's only one day I'm not sure about and that's making me uneasy!
I'd probably prefer to stay at a Universal resort for those first few days :thumbsup2 The perks are amazing, and the resorts are gorgeous. We stay at Royal Pacific, the cheapest one, and the pool is amazing! Plus, you can walk to both parks.
Honestly, I'd probably pick Raglan Road or Rose & Crown over Cape May. I love crab legs, too, but I love the vibe of RR & RC! Love pub grub, too! Raglan Road especially has a huge menu with lots of choices. I think it has something for everyone.

I totally thought you were done with this thing so I unsubscribed! I'm really bad at that, if someone doesn't update for a while I just delete my subscription! I should really stop doing that but ANYWAY, I'm back hahaha. AND you are going to be in Disney ON MY BIRTHDAY! JEALOUS!!!! Looks like the planning is going so well though!

It is still killing me. Also, SouthWest sucks. Because online prices are cheaper than when you call. So it shows the flight down to where we want to go as cheaper than our original flight to Orlando, but I can't change my destination online. So I called to change my destination but the over-the-phone prices show the new flight as like $100 more expensive! WTH?!?! Grrr...

So...I have devised the best plan!! Our plan is now to get our beloved crab legs at some point before we are in Disney, presumably while we are with his dad! And then we are going with Raglan Road after all! Thanks for the suggestion! :goodvibes

Bahaha...I'm so bad at updating. My apologies. I probably just started way too early and I run out of things to talk about that aren't crazy redundant. But now...I can celebrate!! 4 months away! Woooooo!! And I don't know what it is, but I tend to be in Disney on Dis-friends birthdays, but never my own. Maybe its to make up for my own birthday being during prime spring break season! lol

Hello all!! Just wanting to check in...almost to double digits!! :dance3: My trip seems so close and so far!

We went to go see Monsters University last week and of course, it was AMAZING. I had no doubts. I love those monsters SO MUCH. Little Mike was so adorable. And Sulley. He's my favorite. When I was a cast member, he was the character under my name! LOVE HIM!! Now the countdowns begin for Planes and Frozen!

I got a raise at work! $3.25/hr more! :woohoo: Gotta save more of that Disney money! Not to mention getting some overtime as much as possible. Only about 4-6 hours a week, so nothing too painful. Tomorrow (the 4th), I'll work 4 hours and that'll be magical because it's a holiday, so it's double overtime pay, so it'll just about be like working a full shift but for only 4 hours! :cool1:

I am also stalking F&W Fest info DYING to know if/when there will be another John Lasseter Winery event. I NEED to go obviously. I love his wine too. I have only had it, but OMG! Heaven. I wish I could order some more bottles now. So if anyone finds out that news before me, please let me know! :goodvibes

Hope you all have a very happy and safe 4th of July! God bless America!

Woohoo double digits! I got approved for an agent education program so I'm going next month with my co-worker. So excited!!!

I saw Monsters University last week. I thought it was cute! More adults laughing than children though which I thought was funny!

Not to hijack but which AEP are you going on? Two of my co-workers just did the AEP at Disneyland and loved it!

I feel your pain on the planning Kimmy! DH and I have a reservation for a two bedroom at SSR from 10/18-10/26 using a combination of DVC points and an RCI exchange. We also have our flights booked. I even have a few dinner reservations made. You would think I was good, but wrong.

Our college aged DD and her friends might come down for part of the trip during their fall break. Our two DSs, who are out of college and working, might come if the Reds are not in the play offs. We could be a party of 2 or a party of 9. Also, if the girls come we will do MNSSHP with them on Sunday. If they don't come we will do it on Thursday. I can't wait till this is all decided.

As for some of your questions, we were at ESPN on a Sunday around Christmas of 2011. It was packed, but it was holiday time. YMMV, but I would have a backup plan to watch the game. Also, on our trip last October we went over on Saturday to watch the OSU game at 3:30. You had to wait in line to get in even in the bar area. It took us almost an hour to get a table.

Are you set on the meal deal at Universal? I loved eating at Three Broomsticks which is not on the list. I also loved the staying at RP and having the front of the line privilege and early entry to HP. Worth every penny.

I would consider skipping Le Cellier and eating around the world. You can eat at Le Cellier on any trip, but Food & Wine is only for a short time.

Happy Planning!

Yay for double digits!! We actually just got back from seeing Monster's
University and agreed it was amazing!!

Congrats on your raise!

Hooray for double digits!

Also - you saw me waving at you last week, right? I never really got super close to Denver, but I waved anyway!

Your plans sound great! :thumbsup2

I've never been to F&W before, but I think I'd rather sample things from several booths than have a sit down lunch and be too full to try all the great food. popcorn:: :cake: :drinking1

How fun to go to ESPN Club for the Broncos on Sunday Night Football! Once again, I've never been there, but don't you think it would be cleared out by the time the night game starts?

What a great idea for Landon to go to the Kids' Club while you and Garret celebrate! You'll all get to have a great time and you and Garret will get to ride everything you want at the same time! :sulley:

93 days now! :cool1: YAY for your education program! Can't wait to hear about that!

I love those monsters!

No worries...made me realize you had a TR I wasn't subbed to! Heading over now!

I think I might have a lot more stuff figured out...*fingers crossed* I hope you get all worked out soon though!

I do have the meal deal at Universal. I didn't want to sweat plans too much being there for just one day. In my head, I'm still wanting to try to make it work to stay there...sounds worth it to me!

Stay tuned for the dining updates! ;)

Congrats on your raise!

:woohoo: Love watching the countdown drop! So glad you liked Monsters University! The only underwhelming part was that it was more Mike focused then Sulley, which is sad because Sulley is my fav. BUT I still loved every second and loved hearing their story!

Thanks!

Hooray for double digits!

Stay tuned for MORE plan updates! :goodvibes

I think we'll be good for Sunday Night Football. We are OBSESSED so we're gonna make it happen, even if we do have to be there super early. I know it's packed and people love there games, but I think on vacation most people want to see their team play and not EVERY game. At least that's what I'm hoping. Clear out when your game is over people!! I'm coming through! :crowded:

Landon will LOVE the Kids' Club, I'm sure! We've been looking at pics and they all look so fun! (Though the pics are really quite limited, it seems!)

Hello all! I'm now at the 90 day countdown for Florida and 93 day countdown for Disney. Although in an hour, those numbers will be 89 and 92 respectively. :woohoo:

So at my job, I work four 10 hour days on and then get 3 days off. It's awesome. :thumbsup2 And so I was looking and realized something...when I get back from Florida...I'll have FIVE days before I have to be back at work. I do want some days before I go back to unpack, do laundry, settle back in. But not FIVE when I could still be in Florida 2-3 of those days.

Idea #1:
1. Stay at a Universal resort the first few days and enjoy their onsite perks, not feeling so rushed there, etc. (Which would also be something VERY convenient for a surprise at the end of this post!)
2. Stay at Pop my current dates
3. Visit Garret's dad AFTER and unwind from the vacation while still on vacation.

Idea #2:
1. Visit Garret's dad the first few days, as planned
2. Stay at Pop for my current dates and then tack on a few on the end.

The two things I know are that I do NOT want to conclude my trip with a Universal resort and that I really don't want to mess with my Disney dates, unless it's adding days.

Also...some good news...Garret's friend, Brandon, is going to WDW the same time as much and I'm sure he will be with us A LOT, so I'll introduce him when the TR comes.

I took your guy's advice and have cancelled Le Cellier. Not only will it be wonderful to sample and munch, but I can still try their popular items at their booths. I have also cancelled Captain's Grille for Raglan Road. And finally, Garret and I have decided that on our anniversary (while Landon's at the kid's club) we want to do the Wishes Dessert Party! Shh...don't tell Landon! Just gotta wait until I can finally book it!

Also...if you guys can send pixie dust my way. pixiedust: So...my favorite wine ever is from Lasseter Winery. It's delicious and amazing and honestly, magical. (I could be biased, but you should try it for yourself and then when you love it, cheers me from afar!) So, as you can imagine, there has been Lasseter Winery events with JOHN LASSETER HIMSELF at them and I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really want to go. Disney is currently withholding details of specifics for the most part so I asked the winery directly about events, and they told me that most were in the works at this time BUT they would be hosting an event on a date that DOES coincide with my trip. HOWEVER...it's the part where I will not be in Disney. (So...if I was at Universal, I could very likely still attend, but if we were Garret's dad, I could not.) So I need pixie dust that another event of theirs will match my dates or I'll somehow be able to go. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send pixie dust! I'll tell John hi for you all! ::yes::

Good call on canceling Le Cellier! I was able to try the filet with mushrooms and the sauce at F&WF last year and it was delicious!

Ooo, doing the dessert party for your anniversary sounds perfect! You can get some adorable couples shots by the PP photographer!

I like the idea of starting with Universal and ending at Garrett's dad's! Staying onsite at Universal is sooo worth it and then you get to end your trip on a relaxing note. It's always easier to leave Disney when you have something else to look forward to!

Why don't you want to conclude your trip with Universal? It's so much fun!

Because I'm afraid I'll be sad because its NOT Disney. :rotfl:

I'm so excited to try the Canada booth!

I didn't know the dessert party had a PP photographer! That's going to be perfect! :cool1:

I like that idea best too. But then I realized that Universal is where we really want a 3rd adult so we don't have to ride all the big rides by ourselves and if we go then, we won't have anyone else to go with!

LOL you won't be sad. True Universal is not Disney but it's still a fun place! IMO I'd rather start the vacation at Universal though and end with Disney. Can you push your Disney dates back by a day or two?

Ohh, that does stink! You won't want to go on everything alone. Hmm, it makes for a trick situation!

We were all ready to book Universal at the beginning of our trip...and then we realized Universal is the place where we really need another grown up to avoid going on lots of rides alone! :sad2: So I don't know. We might just be keeping our plans the same. :sad1:

I know...I thought it was the perfect plan! Ugh!

Hi Kimmy!! I just read your entire PTR! So many comments.... let's see if I can remember them all.

To start, you are so cute and your son is adorable! What a great little family you have and I'm glad that you have Garrett in your life, sounds like a complete blessing!

The awesome: Congrats on your dispatch job and the pay increase already. I love the 4/10 schedule. (Wish I could do that but I just practically work 5/10 :lmao:)

It's so sweet that you get to be at WDW and celebrate your anniversary with Garrett. The dessert party should be a great way to celebrate!

Oh my gosh, I would die if I just went out and ran 13.1 miles without training. Seriously I was highly impressed since I do run... just not that much!

Count me as a serious ToT fan as well. I can't get enough of that ride! I don't even need the pre-ride show, just put me in that elevator and push the button. ::yes::

The bummer stuff: The Feb cruise cancelled but like you said YOU ARE GETTING TO GO TO WDW THIS YEAR!

So sorry about your dad. Nothing fixes that. :worried:

The Plans: I get what you feel about needing the plans to be concluded and finalized in advance and that unsettling feeling when things are left undone. I would love to see US sometime but we have one near us and I just can't seem to break away from the Disney bubble when we are in the Orlando area.

I hope you are having a great weekend!!
