The Prices of Handbags

I love Kate Spade but I can't justify spending so much on a purse as I like to buy new ones and swap them out, and my cheap ones last as long as I need them to.

Yeah sorry all my bags tend to be Coach, Michael Kors (new purchase) and Vera Bradley.

Vera Bradley is the least expensive of these and they are cloth bags so they are lightweight and they do have smaller handbags. My only problem with them is finding the least obnoxious of the patterns LOL, they can be a bit much.

However I do still have some Fossil totes. This brand used to be my go to bag (actually they are still my go to wallet as I like their design). They are good looking, decent quality leather or cloth and they are fairly reasonable (on sale they often go for $100 or less, sometimes even $50 or less).

I love coach bags it's my go to everything, travel bags, tote, purse, messenger bag, diaper bag. Yea diaper bag! I shop at the coach outlet can get a really cute, great quality bag less then 70 dollars.

Last year a few days after Christmas I was in line somewhere and noticed the woman in front of me had on her new Uggs, VS Pink sweatpants, North Face jacket, and Coach purse. I'm sure she had everything that was under her Christmas tree on, and I'm sure she thought she looked a-mazing.

Hmm...were you in Tennessee? Cause I'm pretty sure that was probably my sister...ROFL.

I have a $250 B. Makowski bag in black leather that I often get compliments on. I got it at a yard sale for $8. I am not even sure the person used it. She said it had been a gift and it wasn't her style!

It isn't perfect. Soon after getting the bag, I got an ipad. It doesn't really fit in the bag and I would love a bag that would hold that as well, but it does hold everything else. I also don't care for the shoulder straps as they aren't the style that I prefer, but when I use that bag I typically am not walking around all day with it, so it is fine.

It looks very nice and for those occasions when I need to look like more than an ebags lady, I use it!

If you don't care about brand....

Haunt Marshalls and TJ Maxx (Around here, I have better luck with TJ Maxx) which will have designer names for about half price). But you can't need the purse NOW. I needed a black purse for a funeral at the wrong season and got the ugliest purse.....

Go for the "less hot" brands - Michael Kors or Kate Spade or Dooney or Coach are going to be expensive - Nine West will be cheaper.

Go for the no brand - A leather shop will have a lot of leather purses for not much money.

Spend a lot of money only if you are getting a classic purse. I'm no Coach fan of their "flashy" purses, but their Legacy line still has their classic leather purses, and they are still pretty well made.

My purse is vinyl, but it is cute! I thought I was the only one that thought Coach purses were ugly! It is hard to justify spending a lot of money on purses.

I thought it was Dutch in me not getting the Coach hype. I love my D+B that I got at WDW but even that was spluge for me.

LOL. what about those that spend thousands of dollars on a wdw vacation? Is that ok? See my sister thinks it's perfectly ridiculous that folks here spend thousands of dollars on a vacation at wdw.

Everyone has their poison, some folks like bags and shoes, some folks like a giant cartoon mouse. What's the difference? and no the "family" memories thing is imo a lousy excuse. I make memories with my family every day, don't need wdw to do that.

Myself, I cannot understand how people do Cinderallas royal table. It is one huge rip off!! 200 bucks for breakfast? The food is lousy (my opinion), service is rushed. Yet disser, after disser will tell me how it's not about the food, it's about having a meal in the castle and supposedly seeing the look on their kids faces when they meet Cinderella. I ain't buying it. It's a collosial ripoff.

Everyone has what they feel has value. I would buy a coach bag any day before I ever go back to CRT.

probably not hard to do since they all have labels plastered in plain sight. Plus the wearer usually wants everyone to know what brands they are are wearing!
