Hi all,

I thought i'd start a thread for any of us that are pregnant and for those of you who have gone through pregnancy and delivering your Disney loving babies and for anyone else who is interested in the development and birth of a future Disney nut ;)

Here is a list of the UK Dis'ers expecting:
Amystevekai&bump/Amy: Due beginning of September
KristieUK/Kristie: Due mid-September
Booknut/Eloise: Due 8 December

This is my first one, not really planned but welcome nonetheless! I'm almost 10 weeks and so far its not been as cool as I imagined! Morning sickness is a lie because it lasts all day, terribly unfair!

I've tried ginger ale, arrowroot biscuits and saltine crackers but nothing seems to make the nausea go away. Would love any suggestions and would especially love to hear from those of you whose nausea went away after 12 weeks!!!

Are any of you further along? Picked names yet? Do you know what you're having? Looking forward to your responses! :goodvibes

Hi - and Congratulations!!

I am 21 weeks this weekend. I was lucky not to actually be sick, but had constant waves of nausea, and yes, I am pleased to say it was gone by about 12 weeks, and I was actually able to eat more than just plain pasta! I'm sure you will start to feel much better soon :goodvibes .

I had my 20 week scan last week, all ok touch wood. We have a list of names, but with DD now 7, as soon as a name you love is mentioned, there is always someone who says 'ohh nooo....I had a mean aunt called that' or something equally as off-putting. So this time, we're not spreading the names around so much!

When is your first scan?

Great thread Eloise :thumbsup2

Have you tried the sea sickness bands for your sickness :)

Kristie: Congrats to you! My first scan is 2 weeks tomorrow and i'm so excited, I can't stop thinking about it! :cheer2: It will all seem a lot more real!

Kaylee: My sister mentioned he sea bands to me, he can't find the ones she used so I will pop into Boots tomorrow and see if they have any. I am willing to try anything! Did they work for you?

Eloise - yes they did, although we went to Florida when I was 9 weeks and I think that got rid of my morning sickness! Have a word with Phil;) a quick trip could do you the world of good LOL

Congratulations on your pregnancy!:thumbsup2 I was lucky I did not have sickness, just slight nausea but friends have suggested that ginger nut biscuits work!

I would also recommend Palmers butter for your bump - totally stops stretch marks!;)

Will look forward to hearing about your scan!

Congratulations and good luck :wizard:

what about adding everyone's name and dates to your first post

morning sickness  poor you , it does go away and then you will be eating enough for 2

A brilliant idea, I will do that!

This is a weird one but when I was having both of mine I found that sniffing a freshly cut lemon helped the sicky feeling to go away. I was kind of lucky that I only ever felt sick and was actually sick only once or twice, it's the worst feekng in the world. But trust me all worth it when your baby arrives! :)

Will you all be finding out what you are having or having a surprise?

I was so sick with No. 2 son after he was born I was half a stone lighter than before he was conceived. Good luck, the sickness will soon go and it is of course well worth it.

Hi - Just thought I'd pop over to join you, as Eloise mentioned this thread to me!!

We are expecting our 2nd on 5th September - another little boy!! (Hopefully called Lucas - if I can eventually persuade my DH that he likes the name really!!)

This is a great idea - now I can spend all my time just on the DIS, rather than looking at the Baby Centre board as well!!! ( I much prefer to discuss holidays than birthing positions and stretch marks!!!)

To all those expecting - wishing you a stress free, healthy pregnancy and a cool summer!!!

My apologies in advance to all those who aren't pregnant - as I will be starting my rain dance soon if the temperatures don't start cooling down, so expect the nice weather to stop shortly!!

Take care

DD was 3 and a half months old when we went to Disney for a Millennium trip. This one (if it arrives on time) will only be 6 weeks old . We booked and paid for our flights before finding out I was pregnant, but hopefully if all goes well, there should be no problems taking the littlest one in November.

Congrats Ladies :) Look forward to 'meeting' your little ones later in the year :goodvibes
