The Pre-Pre-Trip Report: MOVING TIME! 11/21 Pg. 19. The PTR has Begun!

That darn Sully!
What was he thinking???
Oh, OK, I know he's a cat, and I'm sure he just couldn't help himself....

I hope that you will be able to replace the birds and you know we will all keep an eye out for them.

Hope Marc is having a good day and he is on his way home!

Hope Mark is doing well. Congrats on the weight loss--- you are doing fantastic!

Sorry about your cake topper... that is so sad, I feel terrible and hope you find another set.

First congratulations on the weight loss!!:cheer2: You are doing awesome! I am so glad things went well for Marc also.:goodvibes

I am so sorry about your cake topper. I hope you can find a replacement for it.

Those shoes will be on your feet very soon!:cool1:

Sending my best wishes and a speedy recovery to Marc. Can't believe MIL is coming late and FIL isn't even going!!! Are you sure those are his parents? Terrible.

LOVE the wedding photos. The theme you had is so creative! I love it when people actually put thought and originality into their weddings or special occasions.
Thank you. I wasn't really into the big wedding thing but it meant a lot to Marc so I really like the theme we came up with, we worked really hard to pull it all together!

What a wonderful day! I loved your photos and all of your awesome ideas! I think those decoupaged birdhouses were just too sweet! The garden wedding theme was perfect! It was all so lovely.:goodvibes
Thank you for sharing!

I can't believe it about your MIL's phone call, but just think of it this way, less time to deal with her.....silver lining to every cloud!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. Oh yes, I've learned that you have to look at the silver lining all the time with MIL to survive.

LL - beautiful wedding pictures!! It looks lovely. Although I did have a "oh my gosh I'm old" moment when you said your parents were married there in 1979!!! I was 11!!!

pixiedust:
Best wishes for Marc's surgery - I am sure you will both be fine!! Less time with in-laws who aren't super pleasant is a better thing! And just think, you didn't even have to "not remind" Marc!! Nothing bad on you there!!
:lmao: Sorry to give you a moment!

What a fun update, LL!! Thanks for sharing Marc and your special day!! I loved it....loved that your Mom made your dress, and the whole family chipped in!! My wedding was similiar, I wore my Mom's wedding dress and my grandmother made our wedding cake too, Todd and I made our table decorations, as well! Love that!! :lovestruc What a beautiful day you had, love the color you chose, too!!!

I can't believe MIL and FIL won't be there tomorrow until late!!! What's the point?!! Well, look at it this way, one less thing you need to worry about, you can give all your attention to Marc and worry about them later. I'll be praying at lunchtime tomorrow for a quick, easy surgery for him and a quick recovery!! Keep us posted, if you can!!!!

Hope you guys get some rest tonight!!!:goodvibes
I think more Weddings should be like ours!

Prayers for Marc and you tomorrow. I hope you both come through with flying colors!!! :goodvibes

What beautiful wedding pictures! You were such a radiant bride, and there's something so hoey about your photos. Thanks so very much for sharing!!
Thank you! The whole wedding planning was very stressful for me, MIL made it h - e - double hockey sticks for me. I still haven't forgiven her for everything that she put me through.

Best wishes to you and Marc tomorrow! :goodvibes:flower3::hug:

Your wedding was beautiful! I love the garden theme! Your mom is so talented! Is she a seamstress? We had a birdcage as our wedding card holder too. I think you earrings are really pretty and what a nice reminder of your Grandma. Thank you for sharing your pictures!:goodvibes
She is not a seamstress. She's always just been really talented. She made one of my prom dresses too. I should try to get a picture of that one online, I'll see if I can find it.

Good wishes for Marc tomorrow!!! Keep us posted, LL!

I love seeing all your wedding photos again, LL! It seems like just yesterday you were getting married. :goodvibes
I know! I can't believe it's been over a year since we got married.

I love all your wedding photos. Everything is so creative, the bird houses are adorable and oh my gosh, the beading on the dress that your mom did. I can't believe she made your dress, that is amazing and so beautiful! I have a hard time hemming things, I can't imagine making something like that.

I hope Marc's surgery goes well tomorrow -- will be thinking of you guys
She's very talented. She wanted to do the beading too, she was all about it. I thought it was so much work but she ended up enjoying doing it!

I LOVE you wedding photos!! All the little touches are so wonderful and sweet!!

I don't think your a bad wife for not saying anything to your MIL! I think it's kinda a self peservation thing ;)

Good luck to Marc tomorrow!! I'll be think of you guys!
It's totally a self preservation thing!

LL, good luck to MArc, I hope all goes well today and he will feel better soon! :goodvibes
Thank you!

The wedding pics are beautiful. I love all the cute touches.

I'll be thinking of you and Marc today. Hopefully everything will go wonderfully.
Thanks!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful wedding pictures! I think that is so sweet that both you and your parents were married in the same park and that you have your own special spot! :goodvibes
I love your dress and all of the work that your Mom put into it...just beautiful!
Your cake is beautiful and your lovebirds as the cake top are so cute!
Marc is very good at decoupaging! :thumbsup2 I love your theme.

Good wishes to you today and I will be thinking of you both
It sounds like a good thing that his parents won't be there until later. Pretty insensitive if you ask me.

Tracy
Yes, I like that we have our own special spot. Marc is very good at decoupaging. I ended up being so busy with everything else that he took that project on himself. And he was better at it than I was. :rotfl2:

I love love-dont you just love love?:love::love:

Thanks for sharing the wedding pictures-they were wonderful. Looks like it was a perfect day.

Your Mom did an amazing job on your dress, I am so impressed, I would have thought you bought it somewhere.

Okay, now you know me and my cake decorating-that cake is sooooooooo adorable, makes me want to try to make one. What was the nest made out of-simply adorable!!!!
Isn't it adorable? I love the cake. I found a couple of cakes that I found online that I really liked and went to his Aunt with this idea and that is what she came up with. I was worried because she makes cakes for all the family weddings and she hadn't made anything like that before but it turned out BEAUTIFUL.

LL your wedding photos are just beautiful :lovestruc Especially where Marc is tugging just a bit at your veil and you're gazing at one another. Your grandmother's earrings are lovely and the guys photo was a hoot. And of course I laughed when I saw the gnome!

My prayers are with Marc right now. It's too bad about his parents and it truly is sad he's become accustomed to it. To me its unfathomable.... my BIL moved to NY almost twenty years ago and didn't even attend his mother's funeral.

Best of luck to you both.
I love that picture too! It's a great one. My Aunt was a great photographer for us, she really cared if we had good photos.

I'm late... so here are my comments (aka babblings)

#1 Best Wishes to Marc today for his surgery. You both look great in your updated photos and I am so proud and happy you are sharing this journey with us. I think you are inspiring.

#2 Bummer about cancelling in Jan - I was hoping you and Jen might postpone so I could finally meet you lovely ladies. DD and I are on our own this January 2010! :cloud9:

#3 Very happy to see the Ticker - I have to check but this may be our tentative October time, which means I then may be able to meet you lovely ladies. :thumbsup2

#4 I love your wedding photos, :bride:You are a beautiful couple and these pictures show it. I love every little thing about your wedding, the dress, the flowers, the trolley, the birdhouses, the gnome - You gave Martha a run for her money!

#5 Your cats are precious, the before (kitten) and after (adult) pictures of Sully are amazing, he is a beautiful boy, but Ruby is also just as pretty.

#6 I too am a listmaker- look at the list I am making here :rotfl:All the Things I want to share about my Appreciation of LL's PPTR and babblings!

#7 I am on version 5 of my Itinerary - but I believe I missed a few as I shuffled my ADRs, so do those count, does one shuffle mean a new Intinerary version :confused3

#8 I am currently reading Twilight - I wanted to know what the fuss was about, and I am admitting I have slowed down reading to avoid finishing it... if that makes sense. If I kept going I'd have preferred to take a day of work and just devour it. I have not seen the movie, and I don't like the New Moon trailer - because they are spoiling the reading for me - so the TV is shut off when they come on :happytv:

#9 I am glad you started this thread, I always seem to find you as the "starter" of the most interesting threads (i.e. lightfixtures- which by the way I did not realize how many photos I took until you came along, I have always photographed them, just never noticed - yes call me strange, or just clicker obsessed with my camera)

#10 The things I have learnt from you - how it is never a bad thing to purchase and experiment with a new park bag, late night DHS (HBD) dinner ADR, that a few jelly beans won't harm you.

Best Wishes and Pixie Dust! :wizard:
Whoa! I love your list! How exciting that we may be planning to be in Disney at the same time! Gotta love those DIS meets!! Yes, you have to read all of the Twilight books before seeing the movies. It just makes it better. Generally I do shuffling all at once to the itinerary so I count it as a version. I think the itinerary versions is a personal decision. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I hope all is going well today with Marc....sending good vibes!

And, drat.....I can't see you wedding photos right now, so I will comment later.
Thanks MEK!

I could say the same thing about my DBF. His parents are both a pair of wingnuts and yet he is so well-informed and creative and interesting. Funny how genetics work :confused3

Hope Marc is doing OK!
It's really bizarre!

:yay::yay: Great news! Thanks Jen! I kept checking FB for an update so thanks for posting here (are there any other sites besides the Dis and FB? :rotfl:)

Tracy
:rotfl2: Nope, I don't think so!

Thanks Jen, that's great news! I'm glad Marc is doing well and that Leslie is surviving the MIL....
Barely...she's coming over this morning for a visit with FIL. I'm going to go out and run my errands!

:cheer2:I am so glad things went well!! Thanks for the update!
Me too, I was a nervous wreck!

:woohoo:

SOOOO glad to hear everything went so well for Marc today and you are hanging in there, too!!!:goodvibes

Yay for 49 lbs.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go girl!!!!:thumbsup2 I'm sure Mom is already ordering those sneaks for you as we speak.....I'd weigh in tomorrow, too!

Hope you get some rest tonight!! :goodvibes
Nope, she's not ordering them. Grrrr! ;) Marc is going to an appointment next Thursday so I'm going to take him and go weigh myself again.

So glad everything went well with Marc. And kudos to you for handling the MIL situation. I love my MIL, but if my DH had to have an operation, I don't think I would be able to handle her staying with me. She is a very nervous person and I tend to not worry unless someone in authority tells me I should worry. And I am not patient with nervous people. Of course, I don't think I would be able to tell her to stay in a hotel either, so I just hope nothing serious ever happens to DH.
See, she's not nervous at all. I'm the nervous one but I kept it on the inside because I didn't want to stress out Marc. She's just....different. I don't even know how to explain it. :rolleyes1

I'm so glad everything went well with Marc -- glad to hear you survived with your MIL there too :thumbsup2

Congrats on the 49 pounds, that is awesome!!!
Thank you! I'm really excited.

Congratulations to Marc for coming through surgery so well. You two are going having fabulous support systems in each other. I'm so glad you survived the MIL situation. I know it was really stressful for you!

Congrats on 49 pounds. That's amazing! You are such an inspiration to me!
We really do have great support in each other. :thumbsup2

49lbs!! That's amazing! Congratulations....
I'll bet when you go tomorrow, it'll be time to order those shoes!

Thanks for the update on Marc, I hope he continues to do well and is home with you tomorrow night.
Nope, not time. BUMMER. Oh well...hopefully next week I'll break over the 50lb mark!

49!!!!!

:cool1::cool1:

You'll have them before Thanksgiving!

Great news about the surgery going well and being home. Get some rest!
I had a nice relaxing night last night. I feel much better today!

Hey there,

So glad everything worked out so well for Marc...:goodvibes

try to get some rest tonight...

Ahh the MIL is just the cross you must bear to have such a wonderful husband...(try to ignore her...)

Someone's getting new sneakers really, really soon...:goodvibes...:thumbsup2
I'm just glad that Marc is finally realizing that MIL has ulterior motives for a lot of things. He used to give her the benefit of the doubt but now not so much. Makes it a lot easier on me if we can both laugh about it instead of fighting about it.

I have a friend who says that all the time about her wonderful DH!

Glad to hear all went well for Marc and YAY for you getting to 49 lbs!! Those shoes are so close! (they are very cute if I neglected to comment on them previously!)
Me either! BIL came over to visit yesterday and we were trying to figure it out. Marc grew up in a three family house. They lived in a huge house with his grandparents, his family and then his uncle and his family. Then next door his Aunt and family lived. Marc & BIL think it's because they grew up in that extended family environment. I tend to agree that if it just been the four of them that it might have been a lot different.

I'm so happy to hear Marc is doing well, and congrats on the 49 lbs!
Thanks!

LL, so glad that Marc is doing well!!! I was thinking about the two of you yesterday!

Woo hoo for 49 pounds!!! Those Converses will be yours before you know it! :thumbsup2
I'm really excited about my weight loss!

Thanks for the update full of great news. Congrats to both of you! :goodvibes
Thanks C!

 I'm so glad everything went so well with Marc!! Woooo hoooo for 49 lbs!! Those converse will be on you fee before you know it!
Oh don't I know it!

LL, I am so sorry that you lost the birds!!:hug::hug: I can understand that they mean a lot to you, and even if it does not seem like that at the moment: you will always have your own memory of your wedding day, your happiness on that day and your beautiful cake topper and that memory has not been destroyed, so it will still be in your life! :goodvibes
I know. I'm just sentimental about them. My Mom & Dad's wedding they had borrowed a lot of stuff so they didn't have anything to pass down to me. I've always loved the tradition of using something of your parents on your Wedding day. Mentally I had marked the birds and my grandmother's earring as something I could pass down to my children. I just feel like I was robbed of that. :sad2:

LL, I'm so sorry about the birds, but Flossbolna is right. The important thing is that you and Marc have all those wonderful memories of your wedding day. Try ebay, but don't worry about it too much.
I've been looking on ebay. No luck yet. I'll keep looking!

:yay: for Marc and the 49lbs! That is awesome!! Very proud of you!! :thumbsup2 The two of you together are going to be able to help each other so much
So sorry about the birds :sad1: I will keep my eyes peeled for them.

Tracy
Thank you!

Congrats on the weight loss and I'm glad the surgery went well for Marc!

So sorry to hear about the birds. :(

I had a shelf fall off the wall once, though as far as I know no cats were involved and the wall anchors just pulled out of the plaster. I lost a beautiful glass vase that I was attached to even though it was given to me by an ex. It stinks to lose things that have sentimental value. The birds look so pretty in the pictures, though, and at least you have those! Maybe you can "zoom in" the picture with the cake top if the resolution is good enough, and frame a picture of the birds for your wall?
I think the picture idea is a graet idea, maybe I will do that. Thanks for the suggestion!

I am so very sorry about your birds :(.
Thanks CP. I'm still a little mad at Sully.

I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for your birds I know that it is tough!!! But as many said you have such great memories about your wedding and that is great!!!!

I have two cats and trust me I know the whole willing to kill them thing LOL!!! Hopefully all goes well and Marc can come today!!!!!!
I'm still angry. I'm trying to let it go though. I hope I can find them again someday.

Oh LL, I'm so sorry about the birds. Those darn cats! Always getting into mischief :headache: I would have been just as crushed about losing a special item like that. If I ever see something like that, I'll get it for you! :)
Thank you! I mean I had these little glass bottles from the Christmas Tree Store that I paid $1 for...why couldn't those have broke instead!?

Hey LL. I totally agree with Flossbolna and couldn't have said it better myself. It's still sad though.

Good to hear Marc is doing well and good luck to you both as you continue with all this.
Thank you!

So sorry about the birds. My dog has destroyed a lot of things in her day but nothing so special. I would have totally lost it and DH would have had to come up with some dang good reasons why she shouldn't go to the pound. Not really, I love her dearly, but he would have to keep her away from me for quite some time.
Yeah, I had to stay away from Sully yesterday. Then I felt bad last night and let him come into my lap.

Aww, LL!! So sorry to hear about your birds!!!!!!!!!!:guilty: I hope you find them!! I'll keep my eyes peeled and see if I see them, too! Do you know who made them?!

Hope Marc made it home and is resting today!!!
There is a gold sticker on them that says "Homeco" Made in Japan. The logo is of a roof with a chimney and out of the chimney is a little flower.

Oh No!

I'm so sorry about your birds!

I hope your day gets better. Do you have a close up you could frame maybe? It's not the same...but the feeling you'll get from the picture might be.
I think I'm going to do the picture thing for my shelf.

That darn Sully!
What was he thinking???
Oh, OK, I know he's a cat, and I'm sure he just couldn't help himself....

I hope that you will be able to replace the birds and you know we will all keep an eye out for them.

Hope Marc is having a good day and he is on his way home!
He was possessed by the ribbon on the balloons. I ended up cutting a big chunk of the ribbon off and I threw it away...well THEN he kept going in the trash. I've had to hide the ribbon. I plan to get rid of it today when I take out the trash.

Hope Mark is doing well. Congrats on the weight loss--- you are doing fantastic!

Sorry about your cake topper... that is so sad, I feel terrible and hope you find another set.
Thanks. I'm really bummed out.

First congratulations on the weight loss!!:cheer2: You are doing awesome! I am so glad things went well for Marc also.:goodvibes

I am so sorry about your cake topper. I hope you can find a replacement for it.

Those shoes will be on your feet very soon!:cool1:
Thanks! I can't wait until I get the sneakers!

LL! I didn't know you were blabbing on the Community board! Glad I found you. I love reading your stuff.

I'm sorry to hear about your birds. I'll be sure to keep a look out for new ones for you! :goodvibes

Yep! I love to babble!

How's married life? :lovestruc

I am 13 pages behind.

I noticed your new ticker the other day - and figured something came up and you had to cancel the trip...I just read your old PTR...I'm so sorry! But, you are doing the right thing.

And, I saw the weight loss pic with your doctor update--
You look FANTASTIC!!!! I love your idea with the chain, that is a great motivator.

And I was relieved to read that everything went great with the fill-no more surgery!!!! :yay::yay:

Okay, need to get caught up!

LL! I got a little bogged down but just caught up --

I am glad to hear Marc made it through surgery well!

Rats, on the bird, Dang CAT!

LOVELY photos of your wedding -- so impressed with your theming and the table decor -- man, no wonder you love Disney!!! :goodvibes

Any triple quadruple YAY on the Ticker....

Hope to hear more good news --

those Chuck's will be yours before Thanksgiving for SURE!

Oh LL, I'm sorry about your birds. Sometimes kitties can be sooooo bad! :headache: Hope everything is still good for you and Marc. Here's to MIL not sticking around long. :cheer2: This will just allow you to concentrate on your DH. :rotfl: (And retain some sanity)

Married life is great! I love having a house too that I can decorate for the holidays. Christmas Tree Shop look out! :rotfl:
:lmao: I was just thinking that I needed a trip to the Christmas Tree Shop to get some Christmas decorations. :lmao:

Yeah...I'm still mad about the birds. Stupid cat. Marc is doing well! He's driving me a little crazy but I think that is to be expected.

I can't believe tomorrow is Day 5 of my 5 days off. Where did the time go? It has flown by.

Marc is doing well. He's uncomfortable today, but it's to be expected. He doesn't have the shoulder pain yet but he's just feeling a lot of pressure in his stomach. This is about when I started to feel yucky after surgery so I'm just trying to make him comfy and distract him.

We've been watching tons of movies and tv this weekend. It's kinda nice to catch up on some movies you have been wanting to see. I'm also going a little stir crazy though. :rotfl:

We've watched...
*The Ugly Truth
*Lies & Illusions - worst movie EVER. Don't watch it.
*Adventureland
*Get Smart
*Eagle Eye
*Role Models
*Observe & Report
*Up - FABULOUS! I loved it. I balled my eyes out.

I'm really proud of myself tonight. I was craving chicken fingers all day long. ALL DAY LONG. So it gets to be around 8 and I haven't had dinner yet (I'm definitely not as hungry between means since the fill on Thursday. YAY!) I sat and debated for a good hour on ordering out take out to get the chicken fingers. I was thisclose to ordering them but I resisted. I'm so proud of myself that I didn't cave. I'm really trying hard not to eat fried foods. I think instead on Monday on my way home from work I'll get a burrito bowl from Chipotle's and have it for dinner and lunch the next day. YUM!

My portions are a lot smaller too since Thursday. I'm really getting into the swing of things. My appointment with my nutritionist this week went so well. She really made me realize some things. She told me that I've basically lost the 49lbs on my own. That even though I have the band that until I have more fills, it's really on my own. It made me cry! I never thought I could lose this much weight. After my appointment, the nutritionist also came to visit Marc in the hospital and she was telling us that we are going to be way above average with our weight loss this first year. Already, I have lost 14% of my excess weight. That's a lot! I've lost 33.2lbs since my surgery on August 26th. Just thinking about the numbers makes me realize how great I am doing. I need to stop being so hard on myself.

I haven't been doing well with the exercising either so the nutritionist suggested that instead of trying to fit it in during my work week to just focus on exercising on both Saturday & Sundays for a few weeks and then I can add in extra days. I like that idea so I did exercise today. Doing it on my days off seems so much more manageable for me...especially until I get into the swing of things. :thumbsup2

I've finally picked a picture for our Christmas Cards....

706305745_igZYk-M.jpg

I believe this was choice #5 in my original post. I really like it. I showed this picture to my Mom when she was here this week and she just got the biggest smile on her face. She loved it.

Well...my patient has fallen asleep on the couch. I should go put him to bed. ;)

EDIT: I forgot to mention! I am horribly behind all my subscriptions! I hope you forgive me, I'll catch up soon. :thumbsup2

SO glad to hear that Marc is recovering so nicely!! And what a good wifey you're being!!

Congrats on being so far ahead on your weight loss! You guys look great....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Christmas card...too cute!!!!:cutie:

Have a good night!!!:goodvibes

Glad to hear things went well for Marc, and I liked hearing your reflections about the whole weight loss experience and how you are doing with it, I am glad your nutritionist was giving you some positive words... oh exercise is always hard. So you are not alone in that sentiment!

Chipotle, gotta love those burrito bowls!!! I can't eat a whole one either! They make very healthy options there, so good for you! much better than fried food, for sure! Maybe Marc can make them for you? I have a great recipie for Panko breadcrumb crusted chicken tenders -- I buy the chicken breast tenderloins you can get and while they are not AS fried -- they are crispy... my kids love them.. if they are good enough for Giada to make on the cooking channel, they can't be that bad!

Good for you resisting the chicken fingers :thumbsup2 I've only been to Chipotle once and never tried the burrito bowls, but I'm addicted to the naked burritos at Qdoba.

I absolutely loved UP. I cried too, especially at the beginning. There's a DVD display of it at my store and every time I walk by I think of the beginning and almost want to cry. :lmao: I'm so ridiculous.

LL, sounds like a fun TV watching Saturday! Up is really wonderful, isn't it? I mainly just watched it because so far I loved every Pixar film and then I was so surprised how wonderful the film was! :goodvibes

You know, I have been wondering about your weight loss in just the same way as your nutritionist said. Since you only got your first fill very recently, I had been thinking that so far all your weight loss must be due to you eating better with the help of your medical team! So congratulations on that acchievement! You really lost those pounds by working hard for it, like not getting chicken fingers! :thumbsup2 And I just realized that postponing your January trip to October will mean that you will have lost even more weight until your next WDW visit, you will be running around all day because you have so much more energy!! :goodvibes
