Oh no, leaving the park on the last day. It's always such a sad moment. You guys have had such a great trip though. Can't wait to hear about where you went to eat. If it's a buffet and it's on the monorail, there are only three options. I'm going to say............Ohana.

Just in case I forget by the time I get to the end...we had Mark too! (50s Prime Time) Back in like, 2003! My Grandma was with us and he thought she looked like his Grandma so he kept calling her Grandma Paprocki. Oh it was fantastic and I will always, ALWAYS remember the smile and the way my Grandma laughed while we were there. I can't believe he's still there!!!

Wow I feel like I'm stalking, but I'm not I promise I just noticed I'll be at WDW for a few days at the same time as Kristen and I'm a sophomore too! What a coincidence!

HAHA don't worry you aren't stalking at all! That's so funny though! How ironic! We should have a DISMeet lol. I see you're staying at the WL! Have an awesome trip! You'll love it there! I've only been there to eat at Whispering Canyon before, and we were going to stay there in August, but then we decided to add on a few days and go with a mod, CSR. When you're there, though, I will be at the POLY! I am SO excited!

Also where did you get the Strawberry Shortcake from in Epcot ? Looks like heaven .

They are from Sunshine Seasons inside the Land pavilion. SO. GOOD.

Great update! I am so glad that they have some pretty decorations up around the Fantasyland expansion stuff. It's really hard to see all of that construction when you're at Disney!

Your photoshoot in front of the castle was great. It stinks that it was closing so early that night, but it looks like you made the best of your time there!

I can't wait to see where you chose to eat! I am going to guess Ohana!

I am! On the 30th we're going to WWOHP and the 31st we're going home. So no parks that day for us. The 29th we have an early breakfast at the Crystal Palace and then we'll be back at night for EMH! Don't know how that works with you guys.

Chapter 27 - 1900 Park Fare
January 18th, 2011

So, I left you off guessing where we were going to dinner! And all of you who guessed 1900 Park Fare were right!!

I mean, we are a bunch of princesses, so we might as well end off the trip with a princess meal (or two...).

Anywho, yes, 1900 Park Fare it was! We got off the monorail and arrived at the beautiful and elegant Grand Floridian. Jazz music was playing in the lobby, the atmosphere was just so relaxing and fancy.. really, is there any better way to spend your last night in Disney World?



We headed over to the restaurant for our dinner. This was the first time any of us had been to 1900 Park Fare, besides Kristen, so I was very excited to try it!

We checked in for our 6:40 pm reservation and told them we needed to add an extra person because Tim was joining us for dinner. We declined on the picture and decided to wait. In a few moments, they were calling us to be seated.

But hold on a minute, the table was only for four. We just changed the reservation! So, they told us to wait for another table.

While you're waiting for us to get our table, wanna know a funny story? Okay! So... if you didn't read our PTR, (and I don't blame you if you didn't... I never read PTR's either LOL) originally our other friend Rhe was going to come with us on this trip. So, I made every single restaurant reservation for 5 people. We just told them one couldn't make it when we checked in.

However, originally on this particular night, we were supposed to be eating at Tony's Town Square. A few days before our trip, we got a call saying that the Magic Kingdom was closing early, so we had to readjust our plans. That's why we ended up at 1900 Park Fare.

Since it was only a few days before the trip, I figured that I might as well just make the reservation for four, since we knew at that point we wouldn't have a fifth guest.

But, Tim joined us on this day. Just my luck, the one reservation I had for four, we needed it to be for FIVE. Figures right?

So, yes. My life is ironic.

At this point, we're STILL waiting. Mother, Kristen, and I didn't really care, but Vick and Tim were getting a little impatient. (it must be a family thing haha)

Thankfully, someone FINALLY came and called us for our table. It took about 30-40 minutes. It was a rough start. Would it get better?!

Well.... yes. It all got better once we saw the buffet. OH. MY. GOD. It was absolutely fantastic. There was SO much food and it was all amazing. We all really really loved it!

I get extremely excited when I see buffets, so my plate was overflowing. Seriously, this was absolutely unbelievable. We were all very very pleased!

Here is my plate: (as you can see, it had an obnoxious amount of food on it)

I remember the salmon (which is hiding under the noodles) being absolutely phenomenal. It was the best I've ever eaten!

And here are other plates full of food... I'm guessing they were Kristen's and Mother's.

And it just keeps getting better! Next up were the characters!

Lady Tremaine was the first one up at our table. She asked us if we had any good gossip. Thinking fast to our past conversation with the Step Sisters the other day, Kristen replied "Well... Anastasia's a hobbit!" Lady Tremaine replied "You didn't hear it from me!" hahaha

Next up was Drizella. Now... alright. Be prepared for a little spoiled magic here... but we need to take a look at this picture from the other day...

And the picture we took tonight:

Yep! It's the same girl from the other day! Only this time she was playing the opposite step sister!

She actually asked us if she had seen us before in her garden. She recognized us! Unfortunately, she was in the wrong character costume. We didn't have the heart to tell her that, so we just played along. But hey, it's alright. We're forgiving people. Making that connection was pretty fun!

Next up was Anastasia! She told us she wanted to ditch Drizella and be our friend instead! And she really liked Kristen's sparkly shoes, which she thought looked more comfortable than glass slippers anyway.

The next up was Prince Charming! Vick prepared herself just for him! She was so excited to meet him! (Vick is convinced she's a real princess) This is her "I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET PRINCE CHARMING!" face/Vick hyperventilating.

I came to the conclusion that he looked like Raymond from "Everybody Loves Raymond." LOL but he was good.

Then lastly was Cinderella. FLASHBACK.. again!

And tonight's picture:

Yup! This girl played Ariel the other day when we met her at the Magic Kingdom! She is absolutely beautiful and could probably be any princess. We decided we liked her as Ariel best, but she was a fabulous Cinderella, too.

After we met all the characters, we were still overly stuffed... and then we remembered, oh wait! Dessert!

KRISTEN'S FOOD OF THE DAY

Strawberry Soup! How delicious!

And THEN they brought us over a HUGE thing of ice cream. Oh yes, that was a deer face moment. I think I was hyperventilating when I saw it! LOL It was delicious!!

We left 1900 Park Fare extremely happy! My expectations were completely exceeded, and it was definitely worth the wait!

Overview of 1900 Park Fare Dining Experience:
Food: BEST. BUFFET. IN. DISNEY. 5/5
Service: Our server was named Lulu and she was from the Phillipenes. They messed up reservation adjustment and our wait was long, but the food and experience made up for it! 3/5
Overall Experience: The food was phenomenal and the character interaction was GREAT! I was going to deduct points for the wait from the overall total, but 1900 Park Fare redeemed itself! 5/5

Usually I would end the update here, but I don't have any more pictures from the rest of the night. So I will continue!

After dinner, we went to to Grand Floridian Concierge and asked about Transportation to get Tim back to his car. He had to take the monorail back to the TTC. We said our goodbyes, and we were so glad we got to spend a day with him!

So then, us girls left the Grand Floridian and took the bus to Downtown Disney! However, once we got there, Vick and Mother decided they were really tired, so they just ended up going back to the room.

Kristen and I decided to stay and shop for a little bit. We talked in princess voices ALL NIGHT. Sometimes I wonder what people think of us when we're out in public...

We stopped in the Wonderful World of Memories Store and Goofy's Candy Co. just to take a peek.

And then we went to World of Disney, which is the best! I got a few things- a pink shirt, a lanyard for my keys, and a mickey car decal. I also got pajamas, tea, and honey spoons for Mother. We got a snowglobe for our friend Nat, it was Toy Story themed. And we got snowglobe for our global teacher who loves Disney, and it was of Cinderella's Castle and Tinkerbell.

We headed towards the bus stop after that and the bus pulled away right when we walked up! Don't you hate that?! That's the worst.

So, we sat on the bench, and another bus came eventually.

We got back to the Yacht Club. We found a diaper in a garbage can in the hallway and it smelled. Oh, you Yacht Clubians are so classy.

I was so tired, so I must have just been on autopilot and walked really fast with a strong focus on getting to the room. Kristen was like "You walk like you're running from a fire!" I don't exactly get it... but the joke hasn't died yet. She still tells me it today when I'm walking frumpily!

Even though it was the last night of our vacation, I still didn't know where I was going. (I am the WORST person with directions ever.) So I almost made a wrong turn down a hallway and then realized my mistake so I ended up frumpily stumbling down the hallway. I was VERY tired and we were cracking up because it was so funny.

Then we went back to the room and fell asleep for the last time in our beautiful room. ):
