How's the pool tonight? If we weren't getting ice I'd drop by for a swim

so far so good. when the rain let up a little I threw another tarp over the door and turned the blower on the kitty litter to get it dry so it can soak up more. I need to go check it again in about an hour. the door is leaking a bit but the blower is blasting it away.
According to the news the worst of it should be over in the next 2 hours.

Buffy, we had a sump pump, but we also had a pump we sat on the cellar floor and ran a hose out the window. Together they managed to keep it pretty dry. Except when there was a major leak . .. Like when B dug the morter out preparatory to replacing it but it melted off first? ooooh that was BAD!

I have 2 pumps but they aren't working very well right now. DH needs to look at them.

just came back up, the water leaked out of the well of litter a bit. got that mopped up and put fresh litter down, hopefully the fresh will absorb more water.
