If anyone is going to WDW soon, could you post some undated pics of the construction progress?
From what I hear, it is going up fairly quick right now.
:cool1:
I’m guessing it’s close to final height, but still a lot of construction to do. It’s visible briefly from the Wilderness Lodge -> Magic Kingdom boat, but obscured in a lot of other places.

This was from the west side of the Hawaii longhouse looking towards the pool and Tuvalu. If you were actually in the feature pool the waterfall area would obscure it completely.

This is from the beachy area at the NW corner of Hawaii, once you’re beyond the pool:

And I snuck another shot in from close to Captain Cook’s / GCH:

Thanks for the photos! Such an eyesore - we're bungalow people (family of 6) and all the views I've seen is the tower looming over them like a skyscraper. I'll be requesting the bungalows near the TTC side - which cuts off half the supply. At the ridiculous amount of points it takes for us to stay in the bungalows, the ones right next to the tower are a deal breaker and not the poly vibe we purchased for our trips. Anyone happen to notice if it casts a huge shadow over bay lake?

While the tower is huge I think once it receives its exterior finishes it will look much better and not be such an eye sore.

What you think of as a shadow Disney may refer to as a “Reflection”

Honestly no offense intended, but as a lover of all things Poly since '72, that was my initial reaction to bungalows blocking views from the beach & longhouses LOL! Before that, I complained that GF was built when Walt intended only Poly & Contemporary...

In the end, having just returned from umpteenth pilgrimage, while we ARE witnessing a growing metropolis, it's all still amazingly wonderful. 🌴🌺

I 100% agree. When it is finished it won’t be an eyesore.

If you compare the artist renderings to the photos above, they are looking very close structurally. What we are seeing is merely the concrete frame, basically the skeleton, once the soffits and facia are added in the woodish color and faux wooden columns are attached it will start to come together. IMHO, I at least think it will look better than Aulani, although that is not saying much, lol!
As far as a separate association, I just read the entire 45 page thread and to save someone time, it is more likely than not to be a separate association, however no one really knows.
For reference, I am new to DVC and own at RIV, and was willing to buy even with restrictions, and don’t believe this will stop people moving forward from purchasing, and Disney knows this unfortunately. I have been toying with purchasing resale Poly, but honestly the possible savings are not worth the risk. I am waiting till we get definitive news.

The bungalow windows face forward to Seven Seas Lagoon, right? You will be able to see the tower while walking away from the bungalows and towards GCH, but when you’re in the bungalows I don’t think it would affect your view at all… it won’t be in Line of Sight the way GF already is.

DVC Studio-wise you might be able to see it from the one side of Tokelau, but possibly not even from there due to the Samoa longhouse.

I wonder what the daily traffic from Shades of Green to Poly transportation was like (I’ve stayed there and down that many times). They closed the walkway from SoG to Poly, and I wonder if that was partly to offset the new traffic from PVB2.

We stayed at Poly1 in last month and the walkway between Poly and SoG was open. They also opened the walkway from Poly to GF but rerouted closer to the road, so it doesn't run by the lake anymore.

They haven't disclosed that, but likely not considering they have VGF1/2 and only one boat service from GF.

Doubt they will build another dock just for Poly2.
Are both the GF and Poly boat docks within walking distance to Poly2?

Yes they are. Probably almost equidistant based on Poly2's placement and which side of the building you're on.

The GF dock may be a bit further though.
