Hello Everyone!!! So, tomorrow is the big day. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban finally comes out in theatres in the US!!! So here is the place to discuss anything you want about it...when you're seeing it....what you thought of it....problems you had with it....how its different from the book...you name it, you got it! Ask and comment away!

I'm seeing it tomorrow (6/4) at 6:40pm. My three friends and I are dressing up for the occasion and going as the three chasers (Angelina, Alicia, and Katie) Yes, I know its a bit obsessive and seemingly childish for my age, but we love it and would do it a thousand times over!

I don't know when I am going to see it, but I would like to see it during this weekend. Hopefully at a time when it won't be too crowded!

I would like to see it too. I haven't seen the first two movies yet though, even though I've read the books.

i just got back from seeing the movie and in my opinion (and some other people i know and saw it with) it was

HORRIBLE

probably one of the worst movies i've ever seen they skipped all the really important parts that you really need in the movie, they went out of order, they added stuff that never even was in the book... i could go on forever saying how bad it was

but enough about me being negitaive
does anyone else have another opinion

I didn't like it much either, but just because i LOVE the 3rd book. I think its such a great story, and the movie hacked it up. All of the important parts that explain everything are really really rushed, or they dont explain them at all. Then they go on about stuff that doesnt have anything to do with the book. My mom hasnt read any of the HP books, so I spent the whole time whispering to her about what was going on in the story.

And another thing, the patronus was terribly done. In the end, Harry is supposed to conjure up a "thin wisp of silver" but the one that Harry does that fails, and the one that works are exactly the same. And he doesn't "burst, not a shapeless cloud of mist, but a blinding, dazzling silver animal" and they do NOT show that. It makes no sense...I was trying to figure out what on EARTH they were thinking when making this movie!

The scene in the Shrieking Shack...omg, that is the pivitol event of the movie, and they cover it in all of 2 minutes, and dont explain anything at all.

Somebody got too special effects happy in that movie. Like the grim he sees at the Quiditch match, is supposed to be Sirius, but NO, Sirius cant be a cloud!

The whole time I was saying no no no, they are NOT doing this! I don't think that the movies are really meant for people who love the books. I liked the 2nd book the least, but it turns out that movie matches the best with the story. I didn't set my expectations too high, because I've been pretty disappointed in the other ones. I know I'm rambling, and those who haven't seen it, its not that the movie is bad, because if you know the story, you will understand it. Or if you can make some pretty good connections and pay really close attention. Otherwise, youll be very . Anyways, its just my traditional after the HP movie rant, because I am always upset with them. I wouldn't say it was a bad movie, but I like the book so much better.

I liked the movie. I had already researched a lot and knew that it wouldn't have a lot of my favorite scenes in it....but there's only so much you can put in a movie. I went to the movie with an open mind, thinking of it as only a movie BASED on a book...and it was great! The acting was TOTALLY awesome...the kids have gotten so much better, and it was great to be surprised as to where different things happened. And please don't say "Well, that's bcuz you didn't read the books," or "You're not a good fan" Bcuz I've read the books over twenty times each. I've studied them for clues, I've memorized passages...I am a HUGE fan....but I trust the author who trusts the director and the movie. But I LOVED the movie and thought it was awesome!

I knew that it wouldn't be like the book but they left out the really important parts that you need to understand the next book/movie

If you havent seen the movie yet i might spoil some of the movie w/ some of the comments i say next i'm trying not to but i'm not sure

they didnt go into much detail in the Shreaking shack (sp?) and that (in my opinion) was the most improtant scene in the book/movie. They also didnt explain who wormtail, prongs, padfoot and moony are.

And all the comic Relief like the bird and ron sleep talking was so pointless yes the ron thing was funny but they could have used that time for somthing more important
and the way they ended it made me mad (just because that part was in the middle of the movie

And Quidditch (sp?) that was another important part and they should have put the second match in atleast

and w/ harry seeing peter pettigrew on the mauraders map that never happened (i'm 98 % positive it never did)

theres proabably more stuff in the movie that got me mad but thats all i can remember

sory if i spoiled some of the parts for everyone i'm not sure if it did but just incase

I've got to agree with TinkerBellPixie4GOAL.

But, Ginny and Cho are my favorite charecters in the series. They didn't put Cho in at all and Ginny only got to say one line.

Yeah, and what's up with the Hogwarts' Chior?? :o (And I miss heard them (from putting in too many slurs) and thought they said, "Bubble, Bubble Toilet Trouble. Somthing wickid this way comes........ After The movie I told my mom. Wow, I never knew people laughed that hard!)

And I'm preaty upset about the way it ends, but ohwell.

(and they did most of the people all WRONG!)

The third book was probably my favorite, and this movie didnt even come NEARLY close...

they left out a lot of important things, and added in MANY unimportant things. Since when is the guy at the Leaky Cauldren a hunchback? I agree with all who said that the shrieking shack part was not made important enough.

I also don't like the new Dumbledore, although theres not much you can do when someone dies... The old dumbledoor was much more kind and happy, and this one was TOO MUCH like Gandalf, and much more inwelcoming.

I dont know if anyone else noticed this, but one thing i really wondered about was when the train froze, and Ron goes to look out the window, and as he turns, Hermione has a really late reaction and goes 'Ouch, Ron. That was my foot.' It just seemed completely unnessicary and out of place...

WAAAAAAH
My parents won't let me see it until I clean my room!

How unfair is that???

I actually enjoyed it, from an entertainment stand point it was really good. If there wasn't a "book" per say, it would still have been a very enjoyable movie. It didn't follow the book word for word sure, but what movie does? Lord of the Rings didnt either.

i saw the midnight showing!!!!!!!!!!!!
i liked it a lot, but i think that they could of made Lupin and some of the other things A LOT better. but it was still pretty good.

(go ron! go hagrid! lol)

I saw it last night, and like others said previously, it was a great movie for a source of entertainment. However, it did seem like the new director didn't stick to the book as religiously as Chris Columbus had in the two previous films.

I have read in articles that the reason why they didn't include a lot of the important information (the ones that have seen the film know what I'm talking about, I just don't want to give anything away) is that they think it will be more 'dramatic' if they include that info later in the movies.

What scares me is that this was the shortest movie of all three, but yet the book was longer. What are they going to do with the 4th book?

One of my friends noticed that Ron was wearing this nice clothes, but isn't his family poor?

I was disappointed that the movie wasn't as close to the book as the others were, but I'll still definitely buy the DVD when it comes out.

I thought that it was very enjoyable and entertaining. Although like most of you said, it didn't stick to the plot and a lot of necessary stuff was left out. But I still thought it was good and I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

I was at the premiere while I was on vacation in London. It was really cool...Daniel Radcliffe was less than 5 feet away from me *squeals* His car was on the other side of the barrier. Rupert's car was behind his car, so he was about 10 feet away! Teehee, I'm not obsessive! But I saw basically everyone in the films, plus JK Rowling. Very cool. Now all I have to see is the movie!

I liked it. It was a little confusing though. It totally could have been more detailed. The third was my fave book, and I was a teeny weeny bit disappointed. Not the best of the three movies, but still a cool flick. BUT, maybe this is just me, but I hardly ever saw anyone except teachers, in Hogwarts robes! Almost everyone was in jeans. They didn't look like they attended a school of wizardry.

I loved the movie!! i liked the book better I wish it followed the book a little bit better because it was my favorite book

I don't even remember Ginny saying her 1 line.

I did not like the quidditch scene at all.

Someone said earlier that harry didnt see Peter Petigrewin on the map. I am 100% sure he did but i don't remember where in the book he say that.

Two girls at my school dressed up as Ginny and Hermione on June 4th. I love Harry Potter but I would n't dress up for school.

Has any1 here gone to the premeirs? If some1 has tll me what it was like, PLEASE!!!!:teeth:

I really liked it. (Although my boyfriend hated it. Could be down to the fact that he had a 9 yo girl kicking his chair all the way through the film, but he claims it was poorly directed. )

I thought the other films were too true to the books, it made them very slow and plodding, but although there were a few plot holes, I thought this one moved at a better pace and had a more defined story.

(Still can't get over them not casting Ewan MacGregor as Lupin though. What were they thinking??)

I went before i read the book and to me it was pretty good but i guess i wouldnt no since i still havent read the book but i do no that Draco is the bestpirate:
