I was trying to make an ADR for arrival day June 15th. What's the Plaza like? We just want something light and delicious after all we will have been up for 18 hours with traveling and getting situated.

Thanks in advance!

It is always our first ADR of the trip too! (We go for lunch) It is kind of small, but think old fashioned ice cream parlor. Good sandwiches, great ice cream etc. We really enjoy it.

Wow. Thanks for the quick reply. I had a reservation for the Plaza but switched it to rain forest cafe! But still might give it a try. I haven't heard if it before and don't think I saw it but I knew I could get advice from the Dis!

We ate at The Plaza for the 1st time last year & it became an instant favorite. We had very good sandwiches, fantastic desserts and excellent service. Needless to say we have our adr for this year and are looking forward to going back.

I think that's a great choice! It's relatively quiet compared to most Disney restaurants, has light and healthy choices, and is less expensive than a lot of Disney restaurants as well.

I agree with all the previous posters, the service was great, the atmosphere was small and old-fashioned, and the food really impressed me for theme park fare. we ate there for lunch on New years eve this year and it was a great, relaxing break from the busy day...the burgers were great, as were the sundaes, would definitely go again!

Could one get away with eating dinner here? I saw that there's a dinner menu but I'm not sure...

We ate there for dinner and really enjoyed it. It depends what you want to eat, we just got sandwiches but they were great! It's very small inside, but we found it to be much less chaotic than most TS places. :thumbsup2

The Plaza is in our top 5 of "have to eat" while at Disney. Seriously, I hope this place never gets all the credit that it deserves because it is small and I want to be able to get my ADRs haha. Let us know if you enjoy it. BTW their french fries are real steak fries unlike all the other Disney fries.

We love the Plaza, very relaxing and the service was wonderful. We were delayed for our reservation and they fit us in anyway(family of 6). Its a must every trip.

The Plaza will never be crazy popular because it's a bad deal on the dining plan. Having said that, it's a great place for an oop meal or anyone not on a plan. We ate there before MVMCP and ate for about $17 each. The reuben was great and the fries are the best on property.

The Brownie Sundae are to die for, yummmm! :goodvibes

I'm thinking about going there just for dessert, but I don't think they'll be too pleased with that. I wonder if you are able to eat at the (yellow umbrella) tables outside? :confused3

You said you wanted something "light and delicious"...the last time I ate there was last year and I had a chicken salad that came in a HUGE bowl with strawberries and gorgonzola in a tasty light dressing. It was delicious!

I read some terrible reviews (don't as me where, I read so many different web pages I forget) before we made our ADR's last year, but since my tastes are a little more pedestrian than most of the people who write restaurant reviews, I went ahead and gave it at try anyway, and I am so glad that I did.

Let me start by saying that I don't like salad much at all, really. However, after looking over the menu for quite a while, the thing that kept calling out to me was the chicken strawberry salad. It had salad greens, chicken, fresh strawberries, gargonzola cheese (I opted to have them leave the cheese out), and with a white zinfandel vinaigrette dressing. It was absolutely delicious, and let me remind you that I really don't like salad!

It really was a fantastic meal, and we all enjoyed it so much that we'll be eating there again this year.

We had the worst service at The Plaza than we've ever had anywhere else, Disney-owned or not. It was a horrible experience, and I doubt I'll ever go back.

Their fries are really good, though.

We love The Plaza; it and breakfast at CP are two things we don't miss.

We ate there for a late lunch/early dinner. The food was good. My DH got a meatloaf special entree it was very good. I got the cheesesteak sandwich and it was also good. The ice cream sundaes are great. I would go back.

We ate at The Plaza for the first time last August and loved it! Best burger I have had at Disney. We are returning this August. As some one else mentioned, not a good option on the dining plan so we will be paying out of pocket for this one.

We went for the first time last August, like many, we fell in love with it.
