Welcome back!
Glad you liked the photopass shots.
And if you liked those, just wait till the ones coming up!
Finally, after pages and pages of our story - me and me crew all dressed up!!

We arrived back at the ship and relaxed a bit.
We tried to convince the crew to take a nap but they would have none of it – they were too eager with anticipation of the evening’s events.
So around 2:00, we started preparing for the battle that would ensue.
The Captain sounded the call – ALL HANDS ON DECK!

The first crewman ready was our First Mate of course.
He quickly took the helm as we headed off into battle!
Will Turner ready for action!

And then took his place in front of the colors!

On guard!

Next up was the Pirate Princess.
Elizabeth Swan present and accounted for cap’n!

The others followed suit and by 3:30, we were off to the iron horse.
And proudly showing our colors!

Finally, we arrived at the Kingdom ready to pillage and plunder!

We flashed our passes for the event and were allowed in upon our arrival at 4PM.

At that point we were cuffed with special bands – as if that would hold us!

And then grabbing some maps and paperwork, we descended on the Kingdom.

And now, finally – here be me and me crew all together.
Feast yer eyes on this rag tag bunch of scalywags.
We be on the march tonite me hearties!

Further down Main Street, we attacked a photopass photographer and grabbed one of his magic passes.

We forced him to capture us in our fine attire!
Later I adorned the portraits with remnants of our invasion…

Avast me hearties.
We’ll run ya through!

And with that final unveil, me and me crew heads back to the World of the Mouse.
I shall continue me tale upon our return and, as you might expect, have another one raring to go when this one be told.
And we have plenty of adventures left so stay with us says I!
ARGH!

You have posted plenty of great pictures in your trip reports, but your MNSSHP pictures really are the best. Talk about going all out for your costumes. You guys look great. I love how all the costumes go together so well. Nice job!

We figured if we were going to do, let's have fun with it!
It was a blast and the whole family got into it as you'll see in the next several updates.
In fact, our costumes came in quite handy!
And the Photopass pics get even more fun...

Thanks! We had lots of fun and will definitely be going back for Halloween sometime in the future!
And now you know why this TR has been heavily themed to us buccaneers.

I have to ask though, what was the temp that night? I see people in shorts and I hope you weren't all too hot.

So that's jumping ahead a little bit but yes, it was a hot day (and night) and Jack's heavy coat was not so comfortable by night's end.
Not sure how he gets through the Caribbean of all places with it on.
But it was worth it - we got lots of compliments on our outfits and even some surprises!
More on all that later...

Hey there.
So we've been swamped unpacking and getting back to the "real world."
But I promise to get back to the Pirate Report ASAP (hopefully tonite) since I can't wait to tell you about this most recent trip as well!

Ahoy mateys!
Sorry for the lack of spinning me tale.
I’ve been unloading me cargo from me latest adventures to the realm of the Mouse.
And I be itchin’ to tell that tale as well so we best be finishing this here one.
Now where was we?
Ah yes, we be stormin’ the castle we was.
With a triumphant march down the heart of Main Street itself!
What a fearsome lot we had become striking our colors and brandishing our weapons.
Avast me hearties! ADVANCE!

We arrived at the hub and headed off into Adventureland!
After a quick stop to pillage some Magical Passes of Fast for the Jungle Cruise, we headed straight for Caribbean Plaza.

Now we be in our element, ye scalywags!
In the distance an undead pirate spied us from a crow’s nest.
And the sails blew in the wind with the message “Dead Men Tell No Tales!”
The Princess quickly found a chest and deemed it be ripe for plunderin’!

The First Mate found a map that may come in useful later as well.

We began to scavenge these parts when we came across a scurvy buccaneer by the name of Mack.
He was spinning tales of Captain Jack Sparrow himself.
Now while I looked like the Cap’n of legend, I wasn’t quite there yet.
So we listened intently and then, sure enough, the great Cap’n himself appeared.

Shiver me timbers!
We be in the presence of one of the Pirates Lords!
We quickly fell in line as Mack proceeded to announce that the Cap’n was for looking for crewmates.

This be our lucky day!
Jack explained that he needed some help aboard the Pearl and he was here to train some pirates to join him.
With us all dressed in our finest, we stood tall and sure enough – Mack selected both the First Mate and the Pirate Princess for Jack’s Tutorial.

Two other peasants were chosen as well although they had no hint of the pirate code about them at all.

And with that the Cap’n demonstrated some pirate skills using a practice sword on good ol’ Mack.

The two peasants were selected for practice first as me crew looked on trying to learn the moves.

Then Jack came over and selected our Pirate Princess.
Referring to the Princess as “the one with the nice hat” and “Captain No-beard”, little did Mack expect a ruthless swordsman to be at the ready.

She attacked and when it was time to use the distraction “Look! It’s the governor’s daughter” she was a bit tongue-tied.

And with that, the First Mate stood alone.
Jack approached and sized him up.
Deeming him too much of a swashbuckler for the likes of Mack, Jack decided that he would fight our First Mate himself!

What an honor to bestoy on our eldest crewmate and he was up for the challenge.
He attacked with the speed of a shark and held no quarter.
The Cap’n was evenly matched by this pirate I assure you.

And with that, me crew had been trained by the best.
Now they were honored as Cap’n Jack swore them in by the Pirate’s Oath.

With the conclusion of the ceremony, it be time to celebrate!
Me crew returned with scrolls in hand besides themselves at the honor of meeting the great Cap’n Jack Sparrow!

Mack and Jack then led all of the buccaneers gathered in a rousing rendition of “A Pirate’s Life Me!”

Then Mack betrayed his Cap’n by announcing that a bounty be on Jack’s head.
Jack could not believe his ears.
Naturally, he distracted us all – “Look, the governor’s daughter!” and took his leave…

But me crew now had in their possessions scrolls signed by the good Cap’n himself confirming their ranks of “Apprentice Pirate” and pledging them to the crew and protection of Captain Jack Sparrow.

What a grand start to the evening's festivities!
But we have much more to come.

With a crew of full-fledged Apprentice Pirates, members of the Pirates League we be!

And with that, we deemed it time to sail the seas of the Caribbean!
Yo Ho! Yo Ho! A Pirate’s Life for Me!

We boarded our vessel and launched ourselves right into the heart of a fierce battle.
By the time we arrived, Captain Barbossa was already bombarding Port Royal!
To arms mateys!

We made it through and even over a waterfall into the depths of Tortuga.
Helping Captain Jack evade some meddling pirates, we merged alive and victorious.
And even found some booty of our own!

Alas, all this pillaging and plunderin’ had worn us out.
So we stopped at the Golden Oak Outpost for some grub and filled up with some chicken nuggets.
We figured something quick and not messy made sense.
After all, how would it look for pirates to be attacking a Kingdom with food stains on their outfits?
We grabbed a seat in Pecos Bill and scarfed down the grub.
Then we were off into the depths of the dark jungles as we redeemed our Magic Passes of Fast.
However, this was no mere Jungle Cruise – in the dark of night, this transforms in a spooky adventure where trouble lurks around every turn.
The only light shone from our vessel’s headlight and limited our view to just the sights about to attack the ship.
But, along the way, we entered a cave and all light be extinguished.
Be wary mate, at that point ye be on yer own!
Barely surviving the adventure, we swore that this experience was nothing like the journey by daylight.
I highly recommend you scurvy pirates give it a try once the sun goes down – it be a whole different experience!!

From there, we pillaged some Pineapple Dole Whip Floats from Aloha Isle to revive ourselves.
By now it was 6:30 and the invasion was to begin at 7.
However, doing our research, I knew that some of the events of this evening opened a tad earlier that the posted time of 7:00.
So we headed around through Frontierland and stopped by the old Skyway building.
There, in the stroller parking area, it stood.
Made by witchcraft from a pumpkin, the crystalline coach stood just waiting for a princess.
As luck would have it, we had one of those.
And our princess wasted no time jumping in front of the glamorous vehicle!

Even the Fair Maiden got into the act posing by Cinderella’s carriage.

Then it was off in a huff toward the ToonTown Fair.
We aimed to be in position before the clock struck 7.
Grab ye swords and take aim me hearties.
The invasion is about to begin!
