Getting to the world

To Do list for the day
  • Get to florida safely
  • Still have our luggage
  • Arrive before midnight

Well, we were up early to drive to Gatwick (Silly thing to do when you live near Heathrow, but it had to be done) to catch our 10 o'clock flight to Dallas Fort Worth. We left on time and arrived in one piece. The plane also had good TV, Meet The Robinsons, Shrek 3, NCIS :):):), Blades Of Glory and some other stuff. One thing that rather suprised me was how fast we got through immigration at DFW, hardly any queue and the officers were quite friendly. After that, picked up the luggage to then hand it back to American Airlines. We had a terminal change, but that wasn't so bad. Then on to flight 2 of the day which I think may have been a bit late leaving, but I can't really remember now.

Not many pictures for the day, only this one:

Once we got to orlando, we were greeted by the nice man from mears, from whom we had pre-booked a towncar transfer to the hotel, who helped us with our luggage, and although got lost on I-Drive trying to find the hotel, we made it and checked into our hotel, The Hawthorn Suites I-Drive and then we were done for the day.

Even though you had an indirect flight, it sounds like it all went smoothly :thumbsup2
