The perfect Disney souvenir is...

I love my Disney totem pole that I got at WL. I also like the mousepad I got at DTD and the Tinkerbell with the little suction cup thingy that stays stuck to my computer, that I got in MK. Ride photos are another favorite.

Coffee table book I bought in the gift shop of pop century. I look at it when I start missing the magic.

I collect kid's books from around the world, found a few at Epcot to add to the collection, along with playing cards that had Japanese sayings on them.

You just reminded me. My last trip to epcot I bought those metal balls that you roll in your hand and they emit a nice soothing chime.

There are a couple of things we always buy:

1- a new christmas ornament with the date on it

2 - pins from each park (hopefully dated) -- and we limit those to 6 not inculding any we traded.

3 - postcards.

then of course, the things we do with our pictures and pins at home (we have a cork board that they all go onto, the pins hold up the pics... happy memories)

ears. although a bit fragile... we bring them every time we go to wdw... last trip, they even broke. we brought them back to the hat shop in mk and they replaced them for free :cool1:

I like to get mini snowglobes. Last year we got one with 2004 on it and I want a new one for this years trip. I also get the silhouette done of my son. I remember my grandmother had one done of me and so I got one done of DS. I may get a new one for this year. I also want to get one of these infamous popcorn buckets. I have to admit that I never had popcorn at WDW :earseek: I'm eager to try it this year, though.

The silhouettes ! I now have a great collection of my kids that goes back about 25 years ! - I love how the changing hats/hairdoes are captured over the years - not to mention their adorable little faces ! Last year I had my new DGrD done for the first time at 5 mos. - now I can start adding the grandkids to my collection ! :smooth: :smooth:
where do you get this done and how much?

I got mine done on Mainstreet. It was $7 for just a silhouette and $15 for a silhouette in a frame. I also got an extra silhouette as the way that they cut the paper it makes two. So I wound up with one for my mom for free!

Every trip I buy 3 christmas ornaments, one for me and one each for DS and DD. If the ornament does not have the date on it, I write the owners name and date on the bottom with a gold marker. By the time the kids leave home, they will each have enough ornaments for their own tree. We also purchase the HDDR picture on each trip. My fridge is sporting 5 pictures right now. The group picture from last August with my family guilted FIL into planning a trip with us this year!

I am a magnet collector, and I also like t-shirts.

My ultimate souvenier however would be an animation cell, I wish I could afford to collect them. I just find the process of animation so fascinating, I hope that everything does not eventually go to computer animation - I feel that takes away some of the magic that is there when it is done by hand.

Silhouettes are a definite. Followed by resort magnets and resort t-shirts. My kids like the pressed pennies. We all like the pins, we try to get one from the resort and/or year.

Our refillable resort mugs! We always get two on every trip, and we've been many times and stayed at lots of resorts - so we have a bunch of those things! We use them at home, at work, at the park, in the car, etc. Every time I use one, I think of that resort and our special times there and it makes me smile. Plus, they're great money savers while we're actually on the trip. We love those mugs! We have a whole cabinet in our kitchen dedicated to them. :rotfl:

I buy myself a Disney themed pillow on every trip. I have one from WL that says welcome to our cabin. I love that one. I can't wait to see if there are any new ones out since my last trip in January. :sunny:

WLV-May 24th-30th. :cheer2:

We always get magnets, golf balls, and t-shirts which are great souvenirs. But I believe the best souvenir is another trip to WDW. It's what I always want. :cool1: ::MickeyMo :earsboy:

Silhouettes are my favorite, too. I only have one so far (DS on his first birthday) but it is one of my most prized possessions :goodvibes . I also had the extra copies made and gave them to the grandparents as Christmas gifts.

We are going back this summer for my other DS's first b-day silhouette. We debated going in the heat of the summer because we usually go in the fall but I just *have* to get a first birthday silhouette :flower: !

Christmas Ornaments . At least 3 . One year I got a set for year 2000.
I believe it was Mickey Minnie Goofy Donald Daisy & Pluto. 4 were hanging on a number of (2000). I think it was $30. Not bad for 6
