I have been through probably 10 coffee pots in the last few years. I cant seem to find one that pours right (doesnt spill over the top) or doesnt leak or have some other issue.

Yes, I use my coffee pots a lot. I need a good one.

Do you have one that you really like?

I have a melitta one:one. It is good if you are the only one that drinks coffee in your house (when my mom visits, I have to drag out my old big one). I only drink 1 cup per day (usually) -- and its super easy-- just pop a pod in, put water in the back -- press a button -- done. I've had it for 3 years now and still love it.

This would not be a good choice for you if you drink alot of coffee or have other people in your household drinking coffee as well.

We use a Bunn. It makes the coffee fast and keeps it nice and hot! We use ONLY Bunn! You can get them at Khols for around $100. They last a long time. You usually see them in restaurants / offices etc. The most important thing to us is how quick it is.

I had one, but I broke it. :guilty: It was actually the one we got free for joining Gevalia coffee, with a nice thermal pot. I broke the pot by dropping ice cubes inside it, to swirl with kosher salt and lemon juice to clean it, not knowing it was just like old thermos containers. SMASH. No more coffee pot. We are currently using the carafe from an old Mr. Coffee we had used previously, but it's a pain because the lid doesn't want to stay on that pot. The Mr. Coffee machine itself had a timer, which gave out shortly after the warrantee ran out. I wouldn't recommend that one.

I prefer pots that do not have a warmer underneath and can overcook or even burn the coffee.

I can't live without my Bunn. Ive had the current one now for oh about 10 years I think and it's still going strong.

Thanks!
The one I have now is a Melita I love it, its a thermal carafe, but it started to leak around the top a few days ago. Drives me

The one before that was a Gevalia coffee pot but it didnt pour right and it wasnt a thermal.

I was looking at this one.

my friend has one and they love it. Im pretty picky though when it comes to my coffee so I dont know.

I love my coffee pot because I don't NEED ONE!! :rotfl:

I have the Hamilton Beach Brewstation... it is AWESOME!

It brews up quickly and as soon as it starts you can press your cup up against it and get a GREAT fresh cup of coffee! I love it!

I am so picky about my coffee that I must have freshly ground beans.

I have two coffemakers with automatic grinders attached - one in Arkansas and one in New Orleans.

The Capresso is the easiest to clean and makes great coffee. The way it works you do not need to clean out the bean container every day - the steam does not get in that part.

My Cuisinart Grind and Brew (much cheaper) is great and has a thermal carafe. The only downside is that the bean container does get steam in it and has to be thoroughly washed and dried each time it is used.

Both can be used with pre-ground coffee if needed. If you don't need to use whole beans, I recommend the Cuisinart Thermal without the grinder.

I have a deep and satisfying relationship with my Cuisinart Grind n' Brew. I paid about $125 for it at Linens and Things. Every morning it grinds the beans fresh, then brews the coffee before I'm even out of bed. If it's a weekend or a day off, the thermal pot keeps the coffee hot for HOURS without scorching it.

I had the Cuisinart Grind and Brew for awhile but the top kept breaking. I sent away fo rthe replacement part a couple of times but finally got tired of trying to fix it. Other than that I loved it.

I wonder if theyve fixed that yet?

We have a Bunn and it works great.

But the best gift that DH ever got was an individual coffee maker. It is the best. It has a permanent filter and makes the coffee right into the cup. No pouring and spilling. It is very small in size. DH even uses if for company. He makes each person the flavor and strenght that they want.

We have not used the Bunn in a year or two. Only use it for very large crowds now.

Yup, I have had this one for a few years now and LOVE IT! No carafe to break, no drips and nice fresh coffee. Also, because it doesn't sit in hot glass, the coffee stays fresher longer IMO. It is not very expensive, anywhere from $35-50 depending on where you find it and well worth the price. :thumbsup2

I have the Cuisinart Coffee on Demand - which is like the Brew Station. My Mom likes her coffee really hot! I need to brew early at 6:30 so that I can take a mug to work. She doesn't get up that early, so the housing keeps the coffee hot without cooking it. Makes really good coffee!

I'm still using my 30 yo Mr Coffee. It still works great. Only use it a couple times a year tho, LOL.

herc.

I haven't had a problem with the top (or any other part) yet, but I've only had it about 2 years.

I just remembered I did buy a Cuisinart Grind and Brew about 4 years ago that I had to return because it kept leaking all over the counter when brewing. That's why I splurged for the Capresso to replace it. I bought the second Cuisinart Grind and Brew a couple of years later. Because it was an especially good buy (and for a second home) I was willing to take a chance on it again. It was much improved.

I went through a few a year until my last one, the Cuisinart Brew Central ( http://www.cuisinartwebstore.com/product_detail.asp?HDR=COFFEECOFFEE&T1=CUI+DCC-1200BW )

Before that I went through more than one each of Braun, Black and Decker, Melitta, and even a percolator. I can't believe I've had this one now for three years and still love it. Paired with the Kitchen Aid grinder, I am at last content. :)

I've had this same Cuisinart for over a year now, and it is the best one we've every had. I've had Melitta and Delonghi and Krups (and the thermal one from Gevalia) and I like this one better than any of them!
