Ok so on our last cruise we put a penny in the top corner of the room we had because we will have the same room this year and so we really want to get on the ship to see if its still there but our cruise is this summer. Do you think it will still be there?

Im gonna say.... yes!
We found KTTW cards from the previous cruisers in our closet:cool1:

Ann:yay:

Wow I am sure it is there!
We found 4 purple FROOTLOOPS in our room from the last guests.

NOT IMPRESSED

How sad is that! But then we must consider that they have only a few hours to clean and prep the ship in between cruises. I am sure we do not make it easy for the CM to get the rooms spotless.

If that is the case then no wonder people get sick on the cruise ships! I realize that there isn't a lot of time to get everything cleaned, but you would think they would find fruit loops and a passie for sure plus key to the world cards before you got in your room!! WOW!!:confused3

I left a note for a friend who was cruising in our exact stateroom only a few cruises after us. It wasn't there when they got there. I'd left it behind a picture frame. So I guess they clean behind picture frames!

But....we've gotten to our rooms...on DCL and other cruise lines, and found things still in the cupboards....clothes, Mickey SailAway hands, coffee cup under the bed, and even soapy handprints on the bathroom walls..... so it's hard to say for sure how well they clean or don't clean.

And I agree....they don't have much time between cruises, but you'd think they'd at least dust the inside of the cabinets and check the drawers, and wipe down the bathroom walls.

We checked into our stateroom, and I immediately noticed some costume jewelry in a cheap case between the nightstand and the bed. I didn't want to worry about it, and I didn't want to throw it away, so I tossed it under the bed.

Later in the cruise, our daughter was sick at 2 AM and we had to call to have the sheets changed (it was great that DCL was there to take care of that at 2 AM). The spotted the costume jewelry, and set it on the nightstand. I tossed it back under the bed.

When we got home, we received a voice mail from DCL stating that we left some jewelry and could contact them to arrange for it's same return to us.

We didn't worry about returning the call.

So they seemed to be doing a pretty good job, at least in our room.

My questions is to you, why didn't you give the jewlery case to the staff, maybe it meant something to the person before you. Thats strange.
