The Parking Issue

I just want to make sure I understand your logic. I am staying at GF, so paying for parking is a null point. I am not going to any theme park and am visiting the hotel for an ADR. Let's say CR. When I pull into the CR lot since I am not staying there I should look for a spot further away? Because I am not staying there?

Dude. Seriously. The question has been asked and answered multiple times. If you have an ADR or are shopping, PARK WHEREVER YOU WANT!! Park in the front row if you feel like it.

You keep saying over and over and over that 2 senior members told me blah blah blah. That's TWO people. Out of the entire Dis. Two. CLEARLY that's NOT the general consensus, so why do you keep asking the same question over and over? Let those 2 have their opinions and then go do whatever you want. You're making it look like the opinions of 2 people expressed in a different post are Disney law. How about instead of harping on them, you listen to everyone else instead.

If you are going to a resort for shopping, dining, or just a visit, park anywhere you want.

If you are going to a theme park, take the Disney tranportation or park in the theme park lots.

It seems so simple to understand. :confused3

Going to the resort: resort parking lot

Going to the parks: theme park lot :thumbsup2

This sums it up pretty simply. And it IS simple. It's not complicated at all.:thumbsup2

Does this apply to helicopter parking also?

Maybe I need to chek the Transportation board.....
Ummm, only if you can find a spot large enough to drop it.

Do they not still give out that 3 hour limit pass when they are filled to capacity? Maybe they aren't filled to capacity. I know they use to give the pass, and I have seen a car towed once. I went thru this once before on here. It was at the Poly. I understand that if you are paying to stay at a resort, you should be able to find a spot there, but even when they give you the 3 hour, they don't instruct you on what area's to go to, the Contemporary does once in a while, but the others didn't. So if they aren't instructing you, who is to say that you should go to the furthest spot.

I know when I stayed at the Contemporary, I stayed in the South Wing. They had next to no parking at that end. That is where all the day convention people were to park, also that is where the deliveries were too, along that side. I had such a hard time parking there. The guest that were going to Chef Mickey weren't going back there to park, it was Disney's doing that caused that problem. They didn't want to hear there was no parking, they said we could "valet" if we wanted. It was free then too.. That was still far for us, very far from the south wing! I guess it does come to Disney doesn't care.. so if they don't, how can they expect the guests to.
I haven't seen them giving out the 3 hr passes for quite awhile now. If it's really crowded, they tend to ask for an ADR confirmation before allowing you in. That's what happens at BW during Food and Wine time. And even then, if you aren't staying at BW, you have to either pay to valet park, or park way over by the Hess Station.
You're right...Disney doesn't care. I, for one, think they should charge for resort parking if you aren't staying there. Then, you could get your parking slip validated, for that three hour window and not have to pay. But anything over that 3 hr limit is charged for. I mean really....all three of the US/IoA resorts charge for parking for resort guests, as do the S/D. And they don't seem to have any trouble filling up rooms.

Hmmmm, if i am only going to MK for MNSSHP or MVMCP then where should I park? Should I wait and park after 7pm? The time the ticket states, even though Disney allows me in at 4pm? Should day guests park in the back of the lot so when I, and other party goers are leaving at night we won't have to walk across a dark parking lot? What is the etiquitte on this one?
Not the same at all.

Oh please...don't muddy the waters with logic!!!!

If I can spend 30K on a WDW trip then I am not going to park my own car, valet is the only way.
