Note to all swappers who are going this year I(and into January)-there is a big lack of :) on the list meaning you either haven't made arrangements with your 2 swappers, or you haven't told me. Remember, you need to make arrangements with swapper before you at least a few days before they leave-hopefully longer.

If you are going in December, please make arrangements and let me know so I can put a :) by your name. thanks.

1st I thought Chief62 was getting fridge from me on Jan 25 and keeping thru 31st. which would mean you only have opening for feb first.
2nd I see no smile by my name and I have passed on my info and posted that I had.

#1 You're right. I forgot to change available date. Thanks for noticing. I corrected it. Looks like it'll be in storage from 1/31 to 2/1. Which means Chief62 make sure you get a confirmation number, just in case, to help track it down if MIA

#2 If you've told me you've passed on your info but I haven't been told that the other side did the same, then it may, or may not, be all set up. I need to know both sides have exchanged info. I've given you a 1/2 :) for Chief62. Once vcr has replied to your PM and you're all set there(and you or vcr let me know). you'll get the whole :) :rotfl2:

Reason for posting this is recently one of the swappers failed to get the info to the next swapper, before the first swapper left (fridge,etc. left at Luggage Services) and that meant I had to get more involved and made long distance phone calls, faxes, etc. Just trying to limit my costs. :goodvibes

Hi everyone, just got back today. After 3 trips to the luggage check and a call to Disneydaz, we finally located the fridge. I passed the fridge along to matthewsmom (in person). :thumbsup2

and for times when an in person swap is impossible, getting a "Guest Luggage Receipt" is a MUST! It gives the ablility to have a tracking number. :thumbsup2

You are so right! You can either leave it for the next guest at Guest Services (make copy first) or send me the info (or a scan) when you return. :goodvibes

Got a PM from jls886-she's there now and has the fridge, toaster, and newly added-bowls and spoons.:banana:

Also heard from mathewsmom1 who left everything for jls886 at Luggage Services. She was told by management there that they don't give claim check, etc. for items left. He told her to make sure the box has the person's name, ressie #, and check in date on it. I know that Grumpy's Gal did get a receipt a few weeks back so I think it depends on the CM you are dealing with (in fact, it was the claim check info that helped locate it when it went missing)

So... if you can't get a claim check, then so be it. but it is really important that the box has all the needed info on it. Full name, ressie #, and check in date. Make sure when you give the swapper before you your info that you provide that info (as well as contact # at WDW if you'll have one). Recently a few swappers have been reluctant to provide ressie #'s. I'm not sure why this is an issue, I don't think there's anything someone could do to your ressie if they have the number. However, if you aren't willing to provide it, then maybe it would be best to rent a fridge from POP, thanks. :goodvibes (not a rant, just a comment)

I had that problem too with 2 of the cast members I dealt with. They said luggage services doesn't give claim numbers. :sad2: Now I know grumpy's gal didn't just pull that number out of thin air.

Good luck all future Pop fridge swappers. :goodvibes The fridge worked wonderfully for me and saved me $100 on my trip. :thumbsup2 I didn't realize at the time that there was a toaster too or I would have brought toaster items.

Our fridge, toaster, cups, and bowls are going into storage today until 12/30 so everyone cross your fingers that all is good on the 30th when backinoz picks it up for 2 weeks. :tink:

We don't really have any openings (other than a few days, here and there) until Feb. 14th. We have 2-14 to 3-7 currently open. After that our next big opening is 4-3 to 4-10.

Hi,

This is my 3rd post so I'm a newbie here! I'm interested in the Refrigerator swap at Pop Century. We will be there Feb 27th to March 8th. However, there is someone taking it March 7th. I would be happy keeping it until March 7th & then pass it along to the person requesting it on the 7th.

Please let me know if it's available & what I need to do. I can't PM you yet as I don't have enough posts?
