Good morning! I can't wait for Lyzzie to come home today, I feel like she has been gone forEVER. I'm sure she didn't think of me once.
Did you guys see the announcement about the new Pirate's League at MK? It doesn't give much info here but there is more at AllEars. It looks really cool! It's like the BBB but for boys (and they have a package for girls too). They get made up in pirate gear with a photo session. I mentioned it to Emma and she hates the idea. She would really LOVE to do the BBB though. She also can't wait for me to get a job because she somehow found out what a mani/pedi is and wants one very much. She is such a little princess!
I was hoping to have a great day alone with Emma yesterday, but it didn't turn out so great. I think she is acting out either because of having so much time with me, or because of her sister being gone for the weekend. She refused to listen to me and ended up having a horrible day. We went to a church sale and Emma brought all her money ($1.75) in a little purse. I reminded her several times to hold onto it and not put it down... of course she put it down. We found it a few minutes later but all the money was gone.
In a CHURCH of all places, someone stole money out of what was obviously a little kid's purse!! I was livid. She was just like, "Oops. Can we not talk about this anymore?"
Then we went visiting at the cat shelter and I told her not to climb on the cat condo, well she did anyway and bonked her head on a shelf. I also told her not to put her face near the owner's dog, well you can guess what happened. The dog grabbed her head and bit her hair (it is a tiny dog so it didn't hurt). The owner was there & said, "What she did was very inappropriate." He meant the dog, but Emma thought he meant SHE was inappropriate and it made her really sad, she wouldn't look at anyone and just sat on the floor sobbing silently. I felt so bad for her, but I was also mad because it was the end of a day full of not listening, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I don't give the girls many rules, but I expect them to listen when I do.
She continued to be a stinker all through the evening, but she seems to be back to her cheery, goofy self this morning. Oh the wonders a good night's sleep can do!!
I hope you are all having a great weekend. We have had our windows open almost all weekend, except last night when it rained. I'm finally enjoying Spring! Emma woke me up yesterday to tell me she saw a bunny in our yard. My mom is going to buy me some flowers for the front yard -- hopefully she will take me shopping to pick them out because we have very different taste!
I don't know if I mentioned it here, but I am also looking into going back to school. I just have to figure out the financial stuff, but if I do then I'll probably start in about a month. I'm excited!
