The only one on a ride

Last week of August last year my family and I were at MK. Around 6pm it started thunder storming pretty bad. We were waiting for our reservations for the Plaza so we didn't mind. We had a long wait for our food so we weren't done until 7:30. The thunder had stopped but it was still pouring so me my wife and our daughter donned our ponchos and braved the weather. We rode a lot of rides and waited in little to no lines, but there were still people. At 10 they made an announcement that wishes wasn't going to happen and everyone left. We went to dumbo and no one was riding or in line. We rode 3 straight times without getting out and still we were the only ones. By this time it was only a light sprinkle so we didn't mind. I then went on the barnstormer 5 times in a row, switching seats each time but not having to get back in line, still no other people. We then did Buzz 3 times with still no one and finished off the night with 3 times on Aladdins carpet ride.
I think at this point there were no families left and that's why we got to ride all the family rides. There were people in the park, hardly any, but mostly younger going on 7 dwarves or space mountain.
We had a blast and still love talking about that night and sharing with others, especially when someone tells us about waiting 2 hours to go on Dumbo,

It's happened to me several times at Disneyland. Not much of a story just showed up early and no one else was around. I have been on POC and I was the only one in the boat. I've also had my own car on the Indiana Jones ride and the great thing was that when the ride was done no one was waiting so the cast member let me ride again. This happened five times in a row.

This past January, we did Living With the Land "on our own." We'd never been on it before, but I'd read that it was a neat experience at night, so we checked it out about an hour before IllumiNations. There was only one other party in line so we asked for our own boat. We went on all the big Disney rides that week, but we all agreed that this one was the scariest! It was a neat ride overall, but there's something really unsettling about being trapped in a boat and being sent through a bunch of human-less "scenes" for 15 minutes, especially during the silent bits. And that red light fish room...

We're totally doing it again!

We did Haunted Mansion at midnight in May & there wasn't a soul in sight except for the CM about 5 doombuggies back clearing the ride, it was pretty awesome!

One night I looped Dinosaur 9 times. After my second ride, my adult daughter joined me for the last 7 rides. It was just before closing. On the last ride we were the only two people on the ride. If you like Dinosaur, you should try it with very little weight in the car. BEST. RIDE. EVER.

Another time after an afternoon thunderstorm I went through the single rider line on TT. When I got to the loading platform there was only one other person there....another single rider. We each got our own car.

I think I was there that night. We also had dinner at The Plaza. The lightning was intense. We got done with supper in the middle of the storm, hung around for a while, and eventually gave up and headed back to the hotel because of the rain. By the time we got back to the hotel, the lightning had stopped, and the rain had tapered off to a drizzle, but by that point, we just accepted that it was an early night for us, and caught up on some rest.

In Disneyland Paris during EMH I was the only one on Peter Pan. I just kept going round and round, the CMs letting me stay on as there was no one in the line. I think I was on it for about half an hour

During the Finals of the Euro 16, Disneyland Paris was deserted and I got a private boat on Pirates. The only time I felt the need to buy the ride picture

Not at Disney, but at sea world DS and I were the only ones on Kraken. We were getting one ride in early when the park opened before heading home. We got there for rope drop and made a beeline for the ride. I could see them testing the ride-but no one was on it. There was no one else heading for kraken-I started to slow our beeline down not wanting to be the first to run the ride. No such luck. We were the first and only. We got first row! Although I was terrified (this was shortly after that woman had been thrown out of the roller coaster) not only was it the best ride on kraken- it was the best roller coaster ride ever!!!

During a recent solo trip, I hopped on the PeopleMover after dark. I was in the first car in my "train." After a minute or two I looked back and saw there were no other people moving with me. It felt a little strange at first, especially going through the tunnels. But I guess I wouldn't have even realized it had I not looked back!

We visit frequently and work hard to tour on the "fringes" when few people are around - so solo rides aren't that weird. But by far the creepiest is being alone on IASW... I have photos with our party each in our own row, laying/down napping... and one where not only were we the only *people* in sight, we were the only *boat!* Clear channel of water in front of us in the whole last room... Had a freakish, post-apocalyptic type feel (especially given experiences with that ride in both Epic Mickey and Tomorrowland - ha!)

My daughter and I were the only people on the figment ride one morning. It was her EPCOT rope drop request!

We got to be the only ones on the ride quite a few times during the Early Morning Magic event at the Magic Kingdom. You are right, it's quite a thrill!

On Disneylands 60th anniversary they opened an hour earlier than advertised. Most people were waiting by the stage but the show wasn't going to start for a couple hours and we didn't want to do that. We went straight to fantasyland and it was practically deserted. There was none on the teacups so we each got our own and we had the ride all to ourselves.

DD was the only one on the teacups on a March trip several years ago.
Same trip her and I were the only ones on the riverboat.

A lot at DLR......no one in line in the mornings in Fantasyland for Snow White, Toad and a couple others.
I had a vehicle all to myself on Indiana Jones. That was really fun

We were the last people on Splash before a shutdown. My son was just getting out of the boat and the CM controlling the boats must have made an error and advanced our boat! We grabbed a hold of him and he fell back into the boat and around we went again. It was great! Although, we were wondering as we were going along why the ride was being shut down in the first place Lol When we got back, the poor CM was apologizing and felt awful but we assured him that no harm was done and we had a great time!

On our 2013 trip we were the only ones riding Dumbo around 6pm. DD3(at the time) thought it was the best thing ever. We stayed on for about 5 ride cycles but switched "colors" per DD's wish each time. People were starting to trickle back that way in MNSSHP costumes, so the people-watching from our elephantine perch in the sky was great. DD still talks about the time we were the only ones on Dumbo. Might not have been a rare occurrence, but it was special to us!

I'm surprised you're the first one to say PeopleMover, I figured there would be a lot of responses about that. We've done people mover on our own many times, it never really has a crowd. I can't say we were the only ones on the ride through the entire loop, but nobody else in our pod of cars and nobody ahead or behind.

Beyond that, closest would be Kali at rope drop of AK. We had one other person in the boat with us. Or Small World right near MK park close. Nobody in boat ahead of us, nobody behind us, nobody in the restaurant you can see right as the ride starts, 3 other people in our boat. It was almost creepy.

I've only been to Universal once...don't plan to go again, I didn't like it. But it was in 2009, my wife and I went alone for a 10th anniversary trip. Were there for WDW, but did one day at Universal. It was a Tuesday or Wed, and we got there at rope drop. Did the first two or three rides alone, one was The Simpsons. It was weird. We stayed until about 2 or 3pm and never saw much of a crowd, it was strange.

A couple years ago during MVMCP I had an entire boat to myself on POtC. What was really bizarre was the fact that 4 people were shoved into the last row on the boat in front of me. The 4th person tried to take a different seat, but the CM wouldn't let her. I'm sure it had to do with weight distribution or something. It was really weird to be sitting in the middle of the center row of my empty boat while watching the four people crunched together into one ahead of me.

Years ago my friend and I watched The Muppets with only one other woman and her grandson. We joked about finding a good seat.
