The picture of the girls and Belle--oh my gosh, the cutest thing I have ever seen!!! I love the picture of Pluto too. It's interesting to see what a difference 3 months makes, we took Carter on all those same rides and he just kind of looked around and didn't really care what was going on around him (except for the carousel--he laughed and laughed on carousel), but I see what Carter is like now at 8 months and how your girls reacted to the rides at 8 months and it's like a night and day difference. It's amazing how only a few weeks brings so much learning. Another great update!!

By the way, it's nice to see that you bleed black and gold too. The dog in my siggie is our Lab, named Hines. Maybe I'll run into you at Kroger sometime.

Kelly--Thank you for the reassurance, that is so good to hear! Like I said, our trip wasn't bad, just different and took a little getting used to having a baby with us and adjusting to his schedule.

Glynis we had the infantino carrier for our boys too. I never had trouble with it bothering my back and we found it very versitile. I think it came with an instructional video when we bought it 10+ years ago

Thanks, Deb! I think I'll go ahead and pick one up. We're going on a trip for spring break, and it would be good to get both Alan and Timothy used to it!

For the record, if you are ever at Aloha Isle and you see me, go to the line that is furthest away. It NEVER fails that something goes dreadfully wrong in whatever line I pick, and the entire park gets served before I do. This is not that much of an exaggeration. You've been warned.

Well, we must have the same karma then, because this is exactly what happens to me. For example, I will get behind someone who can't read or speak English and proceeds to ask the CM for the book that lists every ingredient for every menu item. And the whole line waits for that person to ask questions and order. I'm not exaggerating either! This has happened to me!

Thanks everyone! I get comments on those same two pictures every time someone sees them. Elise's face with Pluto cracked us up!

They were pants only because they were pulled up so high! If the straps were on their shoulders, they were about 4 inches too long! It worked out SO well though, because I love that they got to wear them in WDW! I think they'll continue to get use out of them for a little while this spring, too!

I wholeheartedly agree. It's just amazing to me how quickly things change, big things even! I remember watching my cousin's daughter at a party a couple of months ago, who is about 3 weeks older than the girls. I remember thinking that it was amazing enough they might be pulling to stand, cruising, etc in "just a few weeks", and they started doing it LITERALLY the next day! Just like that! I don't know, it just seems like it should take longer to do some of the things they do, and then in no time it appears they've been doing it for their entire lives!

As for trips, I guess it depends how you look at it. We would have killed for a trip at 5 months, and recommend just about that age to everyone we talk to. At that age we went so many places with the girls, because they couldn't get around and were content just to sit somewhere or be held and take things in. For me, and I know everyone is different, 4-5 months was the easiest time frame by far, because the girls were sitting up and somewhat more independent (and had a better view of the world! ), but weren't yet mobile and desperate to explore the entire world!

Oh well, maybe if there's a next baby we'll take him/her at that time, because we won't be bound by DH's stupid vacation rules! I am very anxious to get back in October though, when the girls are able to walk around there on their own. It will open up so many more opportunities!

Wow! I just found your trip report and I am loving it. Your daughters are so precious. My daughter had no hair until she was 2. I am sorry to say that I would have been one of those people staring at your adorable twins. Sorry. I stare at all babies. I would love to have more, but my husband says that I am not as fond of children as I am babies so he thinks two is enough. Your trip sounds like so much work and so much fun. I can't wait to hear more about it.

Just found your TR. The girls are beautiful! They are a little older than my DS. I love seeing their expressions as they take things in. We are headed to WDW in June and DS will be 11 months old and I'm hoping he will be a good traveler.

Another late joiner...your title really grabbed me. If you're a Mommy who has ever visited WDW and can't relate to the Meltdown, well then, I just don't want to talk to you! LOL!

Your daughters are absolutely precious!!! And their outfits...well, Mama - you have some style! Simply adorable! All of them!

I was so impressed that you and your husband tackled a Disney race with DDs in tow! Heck, I am even impressed that you tackled a trip like this at all with twins at this age. But man, the memories you created for your girls will last a lifetime. After all, no one forgets their (or their baby's) 1st trip!

Next stop was the Imagination Pavilion, to introduce the girls to our friend Figment. They enjoyed the ride, but were - as you might expect - scared silly with the Blast(!)

Watch out for that blast in the future...Alyssa has been permanently traumatized since one of her trips when she was two.

I have to admit, I forgot about your trip report. It was nice to log on this morning and realized I had lots to read.
