The One With....All that Fantasitc Food...Pics Galore...update Crystal Palace

Really enjoying your pictures! We are staying at BLT in January- Can't wait to read the next installment of your trip!!

I don't know what it is about The Studios...why is it so hard for us to find something to eat! By the time we got there for evening EMH's...it seemed like all the counter services places where closing as we walked up to them. We first tried the Studios Catering Company...no...closed. We then headed over to Backlot Express...you guessed it!!...closed! By this time we all needed something...so we headed over to the old standby...the area by Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollarcoaster.

We all seemed to migrate to Fairfax Fare. All of us had the pulled pork sandwich. Overall it was alright...not nearly as good as Flame Tree...but it hit the spot at the time.

I am getting hungry just looking at the pictures....We will so soon be back in the world you can practically taste it...
Bonnie:lmao::dance3::cheer2:

Yeah!!! I was so excited to be going to the AK this day...I like animals...but I love Flame Tree!!!!! I dream about Flame Tree!!!

It was a very quiet day at AK so we didn't have to wait in line at all...score!!!:worship:

We usually all have pulled pork sandwiches...but because of our Fairfax Fare the night before some didn't. But, I still did!!! Can't break with tradition. :lmao:

What is with this?.....

This was soooo worth the wait. I can't get over the amount of ducks here...they are very forceful and not at all scared (not even of a curious 3 year old!!!). I guess that is part of the Animal Kingdom ambiance...lol!

We are thinking of trying Flame Tree this trip. We normaly go in June and it is WAY too hot for us to sit outside, but this trip will be in December! :woohoo: The food looks fantastic! But, being from NC we are picky about our BBQ. I can't wait to see how it measures up! :thumbsup2

I love logging in and finding LOTS of updates - yummy!!! My stomach is already rumbling! I agree with you on HS - where is all the counter food??? And I love Flame Tree too but I go for the ribs. Sooooooo goooooood :cool1:

Wolfgang Puck Express has been among our top dining (counter service and table service) for a few years now. The food is always fresh, quick, and abover all- yummy!

This year I came prepared for my old favorite...the BBQ chicken quasidilla (sp?). I love it!!! As the Food Network would say...it has an addictive flavour profile. But, alas, it is official off the menu (gasp!!!). What was I going to have. I always toy with the idea of trying something different...and I guess now was my chance.

We went in, ordered, and grabbed a seat. It was about 4:30pm and fairly quiet.

Here is what we had:

DB and I had the chicken salad pita...very yummy!

Mom had the BBQ chicken flatbread...yummy as well.

Butternut Squash soup...as always...great!

DH spaghetti

Dad had the maple salmon...he really enjoyed it.

And Chloe had the delicious mac and cheese.

Again...Wolfgang Puck Express did not dissapoint...and I was happy with my change in meal...even though I still miss my quasidilla.

Goofy's Candy Company has always been a stop for our family...but many times we go in and look and not buy. Well, this time it was going to be different. I was going to buy!!! We wanted some sweet treats to take back to BLT with us to enjoy while we watch the fireworks for the deck (that's right!)...

Here are some shots of all the yumminess...A feast for your eyes!!!

I usually end my solo trips with lunch at WPE which I did in February on the very first day they had the meatloaf so we tried it (friends joined me) It was out of this world good and so was the creme brulee !!!

Love your reviews! Great pics! I'm going to try out Wolfgang Puck Express and Ohana for the first time in october, so I'm really happy to see that the food looks so good, (might try Flame Tree to, that or Yak and Yeti QS - having trouble deciding).

I'm stuffed just looking at the photos :lmao: Glad to hear Wolfgang Puck's is still awesome - I love that place! And thanks for the Goofy's candy photos (and prices!)

Love your reviews and pics!!! Quick question, do those chocolate covered marshmallows at Goofy's Kitchen have a Mickey straw through them or is that just a stick of some sort?

I loved the pics and the WPE review. I wish we could go back there again, but my DP didn't love the menu at all. :sad2: I don't see how, I had a hard time deciding, but ended up with the Mac n Cheese. :thumbsup2 Maybe next time we'll stop at Earl for her and WPE for me and we'll both be happy.

Awesome reviews!

How did you get the links to your reviews into your first post? I have been trying and trying, and just cannot figue it out!
