Thursday 29 October
We were up very early so that we could do most of our packing before breakfast how is there so much to pack in just 4 days? Fortunately Dtr seemed none the worse for her scare the night before. Certainly didn't spoil her appetite.
We ate facing the lake once again marvelling at how quickly it got light while we ate. These 2 photos were taken 20 minutes apart.
I had been meaning to take a photo of this all week - the centrepiece in the restaurant...
We decided to pay the 10 for Disney Express, so we took our luggage to the luggage store and forgot about it.
We walked through Disney Village, and I had to take a photo of this tree as I love that colour so much (I used to have hair that colour in my youth....sigh)
And so into EMH. Our normal routine of Buzz followed by Space Mountain was observed. Today they were using the opposite platform on Sapce Mountain so I had a different view from the chicken exit! Aren't their hedges neat?
On entering Fantasyland we were pleasantly surprised to see Pinocchio was open so we went on that and then onto Dumbo for our only ride this visit. Classy photo alert.....
Yay! The hat is back.
We decided to queue at Fort Comstock for rope drop, but at 9.45 they opened everything up. Dtr went straight onto BTM and I picked up FPs for later on. Indiana Jones was a walk-on for Dtr next, and after that we had our farewell ride on Pirates.
We walked back to Fantasyland and went to ride Casey and Le Pays de Doo-Dah. It was time for our BTM FPs we had 2 each and both times the FP queue was non-existent so we walked on (of course I walked straight off again as it is only Dtr who rides, but you know what I mean!) While waiting for Dtr I noticed the Keel Boats were running. You can see Panoramagique was up also.
We queued to see Jack and Sally
but when we got within 2 people of them, they went for their comfort break. Unfortunately only Jack came back. Still there was a nice bonus when Jessie came over and started playing around.
We shared a lasagne at Colonel Hathis then went towards Phantom Manor. On the way we saw Pumpkinmen,
Stitch
and the Evil Queen she was in really good form. She would smile at the children when they asked for a photo, then roll her eyes and gurn like mad at the adults so funny.
We decided to go on IASW after Phantom Manor another farewell ride, we thought. We watched Mickeys Magical Party Time
and did a few last bits of shopping, including buying Dtrs photo with Jack. We went into Videopolis to have a sit in relative comfort and watch a couple of Mickey cartoons. Of course, I was tired now as this is the time I would normally be dozing. I perked up a bit as we watched Steamboat Willie its nice to see where it all began.
It was time now for our meal at Walts (pause outside for a photo)
and we were given a window seat as we had asked, so we had a good view of the Parade. I had the tasting plate for starters then the chicken cooked in Marsala. Dtr had the salmon and lemongrass with mash. For dessert I had apple crumble and Dtr had parfait. The meal was lovely and we enjoyed watching the parade from there.
We finished with enough time for one more ride, so we decided to make it IASW. Then realised there was time for one more so we went on Snow White,
Then it really was time to go, off to the train station to catch the Eurostar. Still we couldnt be too sad, as we would be back in 30 days
(not quite as much energy as on the way out!)
