Hi Kim! was just thinking about you. How is your job going? One more week to go?

I may have been duped. It will likely take longer than just this week. Hopefully, it does not take too much longer. Xander starts school in 2 weeks. How are you?

Hope your planning goes well....and I hope the reality at DL is even better!

Your trip to WDW is the week of Halloween, isn't it? I hope your family decides quickly and early so that you can then get your tix to MNSSHP before the sell out.

Everything is almost done with the planning. I just got to pack all my bags and equipment before next Sunday. I just can't wait to use the new lens and filter for the fireworks on Monday night next week. It will be very interesting how the pictures turn out from my June trip to this trip. I have played with the lens and filter on my TV with the firework trails. It does look blurry when I took pictures of it, but the fireworks look way better then using the other lens without the filter.

I'm hoping that my DB and his GF will have a great time next week.

That's right, my WDW is on October 26th to November 2nd this year. I'm really hoping that my family decides quickly if they want to attend MNSSHP. The date that I am considering for the party is the 30th. I don't want to go on Halloween day since it will be very busy. I don't know if the tickets will be sold out on that day and I want to get a quick answer from them.

I am well. Thank you. How are you?

I'm doing well tonight, just continue working on my PTR for my WDW trip. I just can't wait to go next week back to DL.

It's not the same without you Kim.

I'm really looking forward to seeing your firework shots Bret. I hope they turn out the way you want them to. You should be okay with 4 - 10 second exposures with the filter on the lens.

And ditto from me Kimberley. Hope to see you back soon. I'm really glad that you're working....if you enjoy it; but it sounds like the short-term job isn't quite living up to your needs. I hope you finish soon and get back to life as you want it to be. :flower3:

When I took pictures on my TV with the firework trilas, I tried aperture f/9.0, 11.0 and 16.0 at 4 seconds with the new lens and filter. It almost seems like at 9.0 is a little bit bright while the 16.0 is less bright. At 11.0 it turned out a little bit better at that setting.

Any of those three settings will work. It just depends on what you like. The higher f-stops of 16 will close the aperture, letting less light in. You will be able to leave the shutter open for longer at this f-stop. At f/9, more light will hit the sensor and you might need to compensate with shorter shutter speed. f/11 is in-between.

Don't forget to take night shots of the buildings such as IASM and Buzz Lightyear as well. They make for great practise subjects if you want to try all 3 aperture settings or more.

Have fun!

Thank you for the tips PiO. :thumbsup2

I will also be videotaping MMY at IASW and will go around the parks at night to take practice subjects with the 3 aperture settings.

I'm about to go to sleep.

Have a nice day PiO.

That's really great. :) glad to hear you're healing well Angela

Motrin is one of the later generation drugs so better than say voltaren. I remember taking just a single dose of voltaren and my stomach was not happy!!
Noone wants to take these meds but if you get the right one to do the right job it makes all the difference.

Sigh. It's that 'grass is greener' career I peer at pharmaceuticals. :lmao:
Then I remember all the tales I've been told of the realities of the job.

I just need someone to hire me as Disney park ride tester :teeth:

Yup, I wish I didn't wake up as I wont have the dog I babysit for a few weeks. I think I will try to go back to sleep. Are you back on a normal work schedule?

I think so for this week. Not sure; but I might have another busy Monday next week.

I might be turning in soon as well. Guess it could be goodnight for both of us.
