That sounds good to add bacon and blue cheese in the burger. I just use ground beef and then add salt and pepper to the ground beef. I like to cook it on the grill then the stove. Burgers and tater tots sound good next week.




Yesterday weather was bad, but today was really nice and I thought about going today. But I am planning on going on Wednesday since it is quiet on the weekdays. That is neat that you are going to another fair. Hope you have a great weekend.


I don't like the NY Yankees, I am a basketball fan and like the Sac Kings. But the owners (Maloof Brothers) need to sell the team since they are ruining the team.

They need to do something, they don't even own the Palm's anymore, and selling off little things. And the city wont be any good if they leave Sac.

No kidding. The Maloof's don't own the Palm's and flaked out of the arena deal. I was excited to hear at first when Mayor Kevin Johnson and the Maloof's agreed to an arena deal. Then all of a sudden the Maloof's backed out of the deal. I am getting tired of them and don't even want to go to a Sacramento Kings game until they sell the team to a owner that is willing to make the team better.

The Mid-State Fair used be like the old time country fairs and better than the State Fair. I haven't been for many years so we'll see if it's still good. They usually have great entertainment too. I remember one year staying with my Aunt I saw 5 or 6 concerts in one week.

Somehow I got subscribed to the Kraft Food & Family magazine. Though I'm usually a fan of more complex recipes that don't rely on brand name ingredients, at this hectic time in my life it worked out well. I actually paid to renew the subscription (and haven't had a chance to read any new recipes since) but this sausage and peppers is good and really quick and easy. Calling the peppers, onions and mushrooms that I added, along with the tomatoes vegetables, it's a one dish meal as far as I'm concerned!

I have the other problem of loving to cook, and a boyfriend who loves good food and cooking for me (he says he wants me to help but I find myself kicked out of the kitchen sometimes ) BUT...I live in a house with an ancient kitchen such that it's just not worth the effort of trying anything very complicated
And the DBF is 10,600 miles away still

What I would give to have this problem!!! Crap loves cooking but never cooks for me. I hate cooking.

Sorry your DBF is away. Crap used to travel for work all of the time. Most of the time I missed him.

Coaching basketball is a lot of work and fun. I am off for now and I will be back coaching in September. At least I can go to DL in August before the basketball season starts.
